Drew’s anger is uncontrollable. He jumped onto Lexus once more but Lexus was able to avoid his punch which made Drew more agitated. He made another stunt but Lexus was so quick to avoid his attack again.
“Drew, I am telling you, stop this. You will just get tired. There are a lot of she-wolves out there. Someone, who could be your true mate and not the one you tried to put in your head as your mate.” Lexus said, trying to appease the mind of Drew.
“Who are you to tell me that, after you stole the woman I have been waiting for very long years?!” Drew’s angst against Lexus never lessen, it even ignited more.
At that point, Alpha Daedos already took his power to stop the fighting between Drew and Lexus.
“Drew, stop this and calm down. We cannot solve this problem, with you behaving like that.” Alpha Daedos said in a stern voice. He himself was in deep thoughts on how to resolve this issue.
Drew was still in a rage and he did not want to honor the marked Daffodil and Lexus made to each other. “I am the next in line Alpha, who has felt even a long time ago that the Golden She-wolf is my mate; I should be considered as the righteous mate of the golden she-wolf!” he stubbornly proclaimed.
Alpha Daedos has been put in turmoil. As a kind and wise Alpha, he should follow the rule; it was Lexus who marked the golden she-wolf first and the latter did the same to his Beta. Meaning the mate bond between the two has been established already. However, Drew is his son whom he wanted of course to have the golden she-wolf as his Luna, to make him the most powerful Alpha in the history of the Werewolves. Now Alpha Daedos should decide.
“We will solve this issue. Give me days to gather the opinions of our Council of Elders and our Gamma, so that everyone whose wise enough should be involved on this, especially you, Ms. Daffodil Marby.” The wise Alpha Daedos stated.
“Apology, Alpha Daedos, but I am a free woman who could decide who I wanted to be in my life, who I wanted to be with, who I wanted to be my husband and be with me for the rest of my life. There is no need to involve anyone else because I would not agree to marry someone, my heart never chose.” Daffodil said firmly.
Alpha Daedos admired the braveness of Daffodil, however, the werewolf world is different from the human world, where she grew.
“I understand your side Ms. Marby, however, we need to take into consideration the pack’s rules and the werewolf rules too.” Alpha Daedos said calmly while looking into Daffodil then Lexus and Drew. He could see the hurt in Drew’s expression and he could understand why. If Daffodil will choose, she would likely choose Lexus.
“I am a free woman Alpha Daedos, as I have said. I am not covered by your rules. If you will excuse me Alpha, I wanted to rest as I have been through a lot these past days,” Daffodil said with finality before she turned her back to leave.
“Let me come with her Alpha,” Lexus said and was about to walk away but Drew stopped him.
“No, Lexus, the Golden She-Wolf should stay in the guest room and not in your room,” Drew said in a stern voice.
“Lexus, I agree with Drew.” Alpha Daedos said then lifted his phone and called on their Chief Maid to prepare the guest room for the visitor named Ms. Daffodil Marby.
“Whatever would be the decision, I am hoping that both of your should abide.” This is the last word of Alpha Daedos before he dismissed his meeting with Lexus and Drew.

Wanting to have some clarity in his mind, Alpha Daedos first called on his Gamma, is said to be the wisest man in their pack, second to him as Alpha.
“Gamma, after listening to the predicament, we are into right now, what can you suggest?” Alpha Daedos asked, with a bit of confusion in him.
“Alpha Daedos, you have to consider the fact that we need to have a strong Alpha to inherit your throne. Let us accept the truth that Drew is not as strong as you. He needs the Golden She-Wolf to rule the pack with such great power and strength. Aside from that Beta Lexus, somehow made something beyond his assignment as assigned by you and by the next Alpha. And of course, Lexus is our mere Beta, who is strong enough to help you or the next Alpha.” The Gamma said looking into the side of the Pack’s future rather than the feelings of their Beta and the Golden She-Wolf.
When his Gamma left his office, Alpha Daedos once again has been put in such a state where he could not balance between the practical side and the emotional side. He could see the love between Lexus and the Golden She-Wolf and as an Alpha who once fell in love and became completely happy with his found mate, he could not control himself to think about what will happen to that love between Lexus and Daffodil if the latter will be forced to marry his son, Drew. On one hand, he wanted to secure a better future for the Mythical Silver Shadow Pack, and to secure it means, to make sure that they will be having a strong and powerful future Alpha.
And so he called his Council of Elders for further advice.
Like his Gamma, the council of elders’ advice was based on the future of their pack, that is to make Drew the strongest and most powerful Alpha in the Werewolf realm, which means letting the Golden She-Wolf be the next Luna and wife to the next Alpha and not as a mate and wife of the Beta.
Alpha Daedos could not just take things that easy and decide.
Before the day ends, Beta Lexus went home, hoping to get some advice from his former Beta Father. As he entered their house he saw his father sitting on his favorite chaise lounge chair. He could barely see now.
“Lexus, is that you?” the almost blind man asked trying to open his eyes wide and have at least a bit of light on his eyes.
“Yes, Father.” Lexus approached his father and got his hand and squeezed it a sign of their endearment.
“Lexus, I know it’s you. How are you been these past few days? I have some things about you and the Golden She-wolf, but it was not that so clear enough. I just heard it from Marta.” The former Beta said, somewhat worried. Marta is their neighbor, whom he hired to take care of his father’s needs like cooking meals for him, preparing baths, washing clothes, and the like.
Lexus sat on the stool square chair in front of his father. “There were a lot of happenings these past days father. I found out that the Golden She-Wolf is actually my mate. We marked and mated each other and right now, I am worried that Alpha Daedos, the Gamma, and the Elder of Councils would decide in favor of Drew, who has been aiming for the Golden She-wolf that long, as we all know.”
His Father suddenly fell silent, after a while he said in his usual calm voice. “If you marked and mated each other then no one can separate you.”
“I thought about that too Father. But Drew is still claiming for the Golden She-Wolf on the ground that he is the next Alpha and the first to claim the golden she-wolf as his, so he deserves her more than I, who is just a Beta.”
His Father made a deep breath and his expression suddenly turned gloomy. “You deserve the Golden She-wolf better than Drew, Lexus, I knew it very well,” the former Beta said.
“Thank you Father for always believing in me.” Lexus smiled at his father, who has been a role model to him. He is a good father to him, and he cannot ask for more.
The former Beta bent down his head and murmured, “May the Moon Goddess showed you the light and gave you her favor.” And in his mind, he has these words written therein in silence, “How I wish, I have the courage to tell you the truth now Lexus.”
