She did what she thought. Daffodil moved a little bit away from Drew and looked at him. “I am sorry, Drew but I could not eat with someone watching me over,” she said, to imply that she wanted her out of her room.
Drew’s face grew red as he could sense a blatant rejection from the Golden She-Wolf, especially when she moved away from him. He could not accept the fact that a Beta won over him when it comes to this Golden She-Wolf.
He hid his frustrations by standing up. “Alright, I will leave you now. Enjoy your breakfast,” he said without any emotion and then turned his back and got out of the guest room.
Daffodil looked at the soon-to-be-Alpha as he walked out of her room. Drew is a handsome man, as big and as tall as Lexus, very appealing actually but nothing made her excited about him, unlike when he is with Lexus. Daffodil sighed. She cannot force herself to marry someone else except Lexus.
She finished her breakfast that fast, she was indeed hungry aside from the thought that Lexus might come already. She was excited. She actually woke up early, took a bath, and fixed herself. She even put on blush on and lipstick.
“Where are you, Lexus?” Daffodil mind linked Lexus, who readily replied.
“Just for a moment, Sweetheart, I am with Alpha Daedos now,” Lexus replied upon catching Daffodil’s message.
With that Daffodil decided not to disturb Lexus for a while. She stood up and went to the window of the guest room. As she opened it, she was greeted by fresh air. While trying to look around, she grasped Lexus’ message.
“Daff, I’m going there now. See you.” Lexus’ message to Daffodil through mind linking.
Hurriedly, Daffodil closed the windows and seated on the bed, and waited for Lexus excitedly.
When she heard knocks on her door after the passing of a few minutes, Daffodil jumped down from her bed and immediately opened the door.
“Lexus,” she excitedly muttered and wrapped her arms around his neck.
“You seemed to miss me so much, Sweetheart,” Lexus said grinning at her.
“Is it so obvious?” She grinned back.
“Not quite,” he teased her as his right hand closed the door.
“Where are the guards outside my door by the way? I have not seen them?” Daffodil asked, surprised.
“I told them to go to the training field and attend the training.”
Daffodil laughed upon hearing his reply.
“Good thing they followed you.”
“Yeah, they still respect me,” Lexus murmured and kissed her gently on her lips.

They were kissing each other when they heard loud knocks on the door.
“I’ll open it, my love. Just sit on the bed.” Lexus murmured. He walked to the door and opened it.
“What are you doing here, Lexus?” It was the stern voice of Drew. He suddenly felt agitated upon seeing Lexus opening the guest room’s door for him.
“Just like you, I also visit Ms. Daffodil,” Lexus replied calmly.
Drew hissed at him, “So, are you going to leave now?”
Lexus shook his head, still with calmness in his expression“Not yet, I just arrived when you came.”
Drew’s eyes squinted upon hearing Lexus’ reply.
“Hey, it’s alright Drew, I still need to speak with Lexus. Would you mind letting us talk first? You may come back if you like.” Daffodil said, interrupting the bantering of the two men.
Drew looked at Daffodil and gently nodded. “As you said so, Daffodil. I will return in a few minutes,” he said and then turned away with a furrowed forehead.
Lexus closed the door of the guest room again and faced Daffodil.
“Daff, I heard the Council of Elders and the Gamma, already gave their advice to the Alpha,” Lexus said in a very sad voice.
Daffodil’s heart beat wildly, seeing the sadness in Lexus’ expression. “What was their advice, Lexus?” she asked with a narrowed forehead.
“They wanted you for Drew. He is the next-in-line Alpha and they believed that as such, Drew deserves you, more than I, who is just their Beta,” Lexus stated with clenched fists now.
“That is absolutely ridiculous, Lexus. No. I will not agree to marry Drew! I love you, Lexus. Can we just run away from here? Let us go back to our place, in Los Angeles, they will not find us there.” Daffodil’s voice was full of frustrations.
“They will still find us, Daff, anywhere we go,” Lexus said in a low voice.
“Lexus, don’t tell me that you will agree with their decision?” Daffodil’s eyes grew wide as she looked at Lexus’ expression.
