Drew still with wide eyes, moved and tried to hold Daffodils on her shoulders but Lexus blocked him. They looked at each other both growling and in the pit of anger.
“Lexus, I thought we are going to see your Alpha Daedos? I want to meet him, Sweetheart,” Daffodil said as she smiled at Lexus and wrapped her hand around Lexus’ arm, near his wrist.
Drew’s eyes squinted upon hearing the endearment used by Daffodil and madness enveloped him as he saw the hand of Daffodil on Lexus’ arm.
“What does this mean Lexus?” Drew asked with fists clenching with evident fury clouding him.
“Drew, it is very obvious; she is mine, she is my mate,” Lexus said as he looked at Drew without any fear.
Drew laughed as he pushed Lexus so hard, cursing. Daffodil screamed as she saw Drew jumped over Lexus and hit his face with a punch, but Lexus was strong enough to counter as he pushed Drew’s chest with his two hands as hard as he could. Drew has been thrown aside and in a flash, Lexus was already over him, giving him several blows.
At that moment, several packhouse guards came over and stopped both Lexus and Drew until Alpha Daedos arrived.
“What is this all about?!” the booming voice of Alpha Daedos, suddenly made Lexus and Drew stopped from fighting. Both bowed down their heads to the Alpha who looked at them both with stern eyes.
“Drew and Lexus, I want to see both of you in my office. Follow me.” Alpha Daedos turned his back and walked ahead.
“Lexus,” Daffodil called on him and he walked towards her.
He holds her hand and gave her a sad look. “I’m sorry Sweety. Come with us. I could feel that you need to be there to settle this matter.”
Daffodil nodded and gently squeezed his hand.
Drew already left them and walked ahead going to the Alpha’s office. Lexus and Daffodil walked towards the Alpha’s office, hand, and hand.
As they entered the Alpha’s office, Alpha Daedos’ eyes automatically flew to Daffodil then to Lexus, and then to their hands clutching each other.
“Alpha Daedos, an apology for what happened a while ago. I have with me here Ms. Daffodil Marby, the missing Golden She-wolf.” Lexus said after bowing his head to their Alpha.
Alpha Daedos looked at Daffodil with a wide smile now. “Ms. Daffodil Marby, nice meeting you,” he said while still looking at Daffodil.
“Good day Alpha Daedos and nice meeting you too,” Daffodil replied with such confidence that she naturally has since the time she became the Marby’s adopted child. She extended her hand for a handshake to the Alpha of the Mythical Silver Shadow Pack, to which Alpha Daedos graciously accepted.

“Ms. Marby, I know, you know why a lot of Alphas are trying to search for you, wanting to be your mate or make you as their mate even by force, am I right?” Alpha Daedos started his speech, to which Daffodil simply nodded without showing any expression.
“Yes, I recently learned about it Alpha Daedos through Lexus and when the Alpha of the Black Forest pack tried to forcefully make me as his mistress, he mentioned why he wanted me,” she replied softly, without any trace of arrogance or bragartness.
“My son here, Drew, in case you have met him already, is the soon-to-be Alpha of this pack. He will replace me after his birthday, less than two months from now,” Alpha Daedos continued.
“I see,” she simply said.
“However, to become a strong Alpha, he got to find his mate and he said, he could clearly feel in his heart that the missing Golden She-Wolf is his mate,” Alpha Daedos, keenly looked at Daffodil while saying these words.
Daffodil’s expression never changed. She just looked at Alpha Daedos then Drew, who was then gazing at her intensely. Thereafter, she shot Lexus with a tender look.
“Apology, Alpha Daedos, I have found my real mate. I don’t even need to be a werewolf to know that he is the man for me,” Daffodil then stated with a glow in her eyes as she looked at Lexus once more, with love in her eyes.
Alpha Daedos fell silent and looked at Lexus, whose eyes lighted up with happiness. On one hand, Drew became furious.
“He just tricked you into making you think and feel that he was your mate!” Drew said, almost shouting.
Alpha Daedos looked at Drew sternly. “Drew, stop that. We will settle this matter peacefully.”
“How, father? If your Beta just made some tricky action to get what he wanted, absolutely in defiance of your order.” Drew replied with clenched fists.
Lexus tried to remain calm and collected. Whatever the consequence of what he did, he is ready to face it.
“If that is your opinion Drew, what could you suggest to reasonably settle this matter?” Alpha Daedos asked Drew, checking how his son would decide in a crucial matter like this.
“Father, the Golden She-wolf is mine. I was the first one who said so that she is my mate, that was why I never looked at, to any other she-wolf.” Drew said without regard to Daffodil, who is just nearby, listening.
"You cannot claim a she-wolf as your mate Drew, who has been marked already by another werewolf unless that werewolf who marked her is dead already," Alpha Daedos stated while looking at Daffodil, whose eyes suddenly grew big as she heard the words of the Alpha.
Drew on one hand, immediately looked at Daffodil, approached her and checked her neck, and then growled with anger. In one swift move, he was already holding Lexus' neck, trying to choke him.
Daffodil screamed while Alpha Daedos just looked at Drew and his Beta with such unfathomable expression.
Lexus quickly pushed Drew with his two hands with palms facing the latter's chest. After a moment Drew's hands were no longer around Lexus' neck. He felt his chest seemed to have been hit by adobe that he was not able to breathe for a couple of seconds. Lexus took that opportunity to release a hard, frontal kick toward Drew, who landed on the floor as a result.
"Don't force to fight with me Drew, you know what I can do to you. And do not force yourself to a woman who has been marked already and had marked the man who marked her, as a sign of her love and submission," Lexus said in a controlled voice.
But Drew’s eyes got so fiery, he wanted to kill Lexus right at this very minute.
