It was like an old movie, flashing through the mind of Daffodil when her adoptive parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marby told her about how they found her and where she really came from. Suddenly, Daffodil remembered her dreams for several nights.
“I dreamed about that Mom. In my dreams, I saw a woman running and was too afraid while holding tight a child in her arms and then some wolves running too, chasing the woman with a child. The woman cried out and shouted, her thin voice spreading all over the mountains disturbing all the wild animals around. After that, I saw a blooded golden wolf almost crawling, trying to save his life but three black wolves attacked it again and again until it lay lifeless, almost swimming in its own blood.”
“Maybe it was what happened before we saw your mother with you in her hands, running towards us.
“It was black wolves who killed my real parents,” Daffodil murmured.
Mr. Marby nodded and shared something too that he witnessed in the past. “When you were with us already in the yacht and we were sailing, I saw in my vernacular when a group of black wolves dive into the sea and tried to chase us; though they were not able to catch up with the speed of our yacht.
Daffodil sighed. “I need to tell you something too. You might not understand or believe it but it is true. I am a werewolf Mom and Dad; a she-wolf and someone told me that I am the missing last breed of the golden wolves.” Daffodil added while looking at her adoptive parents.
Both Mr. And Mrs. Marby’s mouths fell open because of astonishment.
“How come? Are there really that kind of species?” Mrs. Marby asked with a thought of the impossibility of what Daffodil has just said.
“There are Mom, different types of werewolves belonging to different packs. We never know, there are also werewolves existing here in Los Angeles.” Daffodil said seriously.
“But how? How did you know you are a werewolf Daff?” Mrs. Marby with an astounding voice asked again.
Daffodil looked at her adoptive parents and said in a very low voice. “I will show you; but Mom and Dad, promise me, you will not be afraid and you will not unlove me after seeing me as a wolf.”
Mr. And Mrs. Marby looked at each other and unexpectedly smiled at Daffodil. They were both thinking that Daffodil was just joking.
“Alright Mom and Dad, don’t even bat an eye; look at me as I shift.” Then Daffodil closed her eyes and slowly her bone can be heard cracking as she shifted into her wolf form. Arcel came out so beautifully in her dashing big and golden furred wolf form.
Mrs. Marby was totally in shock; just a few seconds and she slowly fell down. She fainted. While Mr. Marby was just looking at Arcel with wide eyes, dumbfounded.
Arcel wiggled its tail and growled.

At the Mythical Silver Shadow Pack’s house, Lexus is in the training ground together with his other pack members. They are on their regular self-defense and fighting tactics training both in their human forms and wolf forms.
So far, in their Pack, none could beat Lexus yet, not even Drew, the son of their Alpha.
Lexus strength is comparable to that of Alpha’s bloodline and everybody could not understand why a mere Beta could be as strong as an Alpha or even stronger. His flexibility, speed, wits, and wisdom are admirable that even Alpha Daedos applauded him usually.
During this battle training, Drew would usually choose weaker warriors to fight with, so that he will win. He tried fighting with Lexus before but he was just beaten so easily by their Beta and he could not accept it until now.
But Alpha Daedos has something in his mind today.
“Lexus fight with four warriors at the same time. Those who wanted to try fighting with our strong Beta, come forward.” Alpha Daedos announced.
Four of their strong warriors moved forward vowing at Alpha Daedos and Lexus before the fight. They surrounded Lexus. Lexus strengthened all his senses that when he heard the hiss of the wind at his back, he knew someone was attacking him.
Before Rolo, the Gama who attacked, could land his kick on Lexus’ back, Lexus already somersaulted and after his feet touched the ground, he gave Rolo’s back a strong roundhouse kick, hitting the side face of the Gama. Rolo fell down seeing some stars in the sky.
Then the three remaining warriors simultaneously attacked Lexus but before they could hurt Lexus, the latter made a whirlpool round of kicks and thereafter his three remaining opponents all flew aside. Lexus never even sweat after the fight. It was an easy fight for him.
Lexus’ four opponents stood up and approached him to congratulate him. They truly admired their Beta.
Drew on one hand was frowning. He felt like Lexus was trying to show off again his prowess in fighting to elevate himself among them. He wanted to curse the young Beta.
Alpha Daedos was not finished yet. He has another thing in mind. “Drew, it is your time to shine. You are my son and soon to be the Alpha of our pack. Show us what you’ve got there. Fight with four of our warriors just like Beta Lexus.”
Suddenly, Drew’s hands were filled with perspiration while his heart dribbled in fear.
