Chapter 11 Chapter 11
Milo’s POV
My skin continued to tingle from the heat that continued to travel throughout my body in waves. I know I should have felt shame and disgrace or even violated but no...
The hotness on my cheeks said It all.
My heart beated faster than an antelope, the memory of the hot demanding kiss continued to play in my mind like a replay. coupled with him dragging me on the collar, as I tried to keep up with his long stride.
My legs nearly gave out when the huge doors to the main hall opened.
A blast of light and fragrance hit me hard, causing my head to spine for a while. Then came the fresh and mouth watery aroma of rich and different assorted types of food, that formed a mountain on the huge long table.
Then came the eyes, from rows and rows of powerful dangerous men and women that lined the great banquet hall.
I shrunk behind my master, as their eyes felt like they would peel off layers of my skin and see through my disguise. They were all elites and adorned in expensive gold-lined cloaks and and and their women draped in fur coats.
There were all powerful alphas, warriors and leaders, from different packs. But one thing was similar among them all. Each of them had different sigils I didn't recognize stitched in their clothes
But it wasn’t just them that made my chest tighten in fear.
It was the other pets.
They were everywhere, beside their masters and mistress.
Some sat hunched like a dog, while many knelt beside their masters, while the undistinguished collar clipped to their neck with their name boldly written on it. Some danced lazily in front of their owners, while many stared with hungry eyes as food passed infront of them.
I cringed in disgust. Shrinking behind master, to make myself so small, not to be noticed.
Hungry and predatory eyes flowed our very steps.
I swallowed hard,
I looked just like them, well almost except for one thing…
I hadn’t noticed it at first. Maybe it was from my shock, or from me thinking about the feelings of his mouth on mine. but I noticed it a little too late. All the pets were practically naked. Some wore only on their panties, while others were on nothing at all. Their bodies on full display. their expressions trained and blank.
And then there was me.
Wrapped in the thin, body-hugging rope dress the king had made me wear. It barely covered my thighs and left my back open, but compared to the others, I was practically the only modestly dressed pet in the hall. Overdressed, even.
A horn was blown from the right side, and the herald’s voice rang throughout the room.
“Alpha Damon of the Black Moon Syndicate, leader of the mafian wolf pack. The devil of the east, King of Ironhall, and his consort arrives!”
I stiffened, trying not to trip on my own feet, as we reached the head table. I felt like a fraud. An outsider. My every breath felt like it was drawing more attention than it should.
I stood awkwardly. It's not like there were assigned seats for pets.
I felt cold hands lift me up from the ground, before I could react, placing me on his laps.
My cheeks burned like it was set on fire. I could feel an unimaginable length pressed against the crack of my ass. Masters hand dug into my waist, holding me firm on his lap.
“Behave” His words rolled through my body, immediately stopping any trace of protest I had left.
I tried to focus, to breathe, to keep my head down. Like other pets were doing. but my thoughts kept spiraling, to that moment before we entered.
He had almost found out.
If his beta hadn’t come when he did...
I would have been dead.
My eyes quickly darted between the crowd. my stomach twisted as I locked eyes with her…
Catherine.
She sat near the head table, a clear indication of her rank in the pack. She was dressed in shimmering blood-red velvet, her lips curled into a slow, poisonous smirk.
I quickly averted my gaze.
My throat suddenly went dry.
“Well, well… what’s this?”
The voice was deep, raspy, oozing mockery.
I turned toward the sound to see a fierce looking man, with a patch across one eye. The way he looked at me made my skin crawl and immediately wished I hadn’t.
“What is what? commander Grath” master retorted, frowning a little.
“For once I had thought this was a pet parade.” he said, laughing, while twirling his drink in his hand. “Is your pet special, my King? Or is she just too shy to be in her normal attire suited for a pet?”
a few taunting chuckles rang through the table, but they all died out from a simple growl from the master.
My cheeks burned. I could see the pet of commander Grath. A petite girl, with sunken eyes, and hollowed cheeks. I could imagine the typeShe was one of those pets that was not wearing any clothes at all.
I thanked my stars that commander Grath was not my master. I Immediately felt bad that I had gloated over one's misery.
Master's jaw ticked beside me.
“Careful how you speak, Grath,” he said coolly, sliding into his chair at the head of the table and pulling me along with him. “I dress my pet anyhow I want.”
“Oh?” Commander Grath leaned forward with a sharp grin. “I would have thought that the almighty alpha had gone soft all because of a little pet.”
The laughter that followed stung. I flinched as every eye around the banquet turned to me, this time properly looking at me.
And then I felt the piercing, unmistakable burn of her Catherine gaze.
She didn't say a word, but her hatred licked at me like acid.
I could almost hear her thoughts from across the Table.
You don’t belong here.
Her eyes flicked briefly to the golden collar on my neck. For just a brief second, I could swear I saw a frown, before shifting to the untouched wine goblet in front of me, the very one I was supposed to poison.
My heart pounded.
The pressure became unbearable, almost too unbearable…
“Enough” master's angry voice boomed, plunging the hall into silence.
He placed a possessive hand on my thigh, his fingers digging into my skin. “She is my pet, and anybody that has a problem with me, should speak up or forever remain silent.”
His voice traveled through the hall like fire, but nobody said anything.
Commander Graths grounded his teeths, but chose to remain silent. Swallowing his shame silently.
“Good, just like I suspected. Let the party begin” He announced.
