Chapter 10 Chapter 10
Alpha Damon POV
The mirror in my chambers caught my reflection as I slid the last of the golden cufflinks through my sleeve. My black velvet coat stitched with gold thread wrapped around my shoulders like power itself.
Everything was in place, my perfect clothes, the secret weapons hidden beneath my sleeves, the Alpha ring gleaming on my finger. I looked exactly as I should, a Mafian King. Ruthless, Commanding, and untouchable.
And yet…
I could put a finger on it, but I could feel that Something was off tonight.
Still, I dismissed it not thinking twice.
The dinner was nothing more than a show, an alliance disguised in formality.
I adjusted the golden clasp on my cloak, fingers moving mechanically
I didn’t care for games tonight.
Until the knock came, But the second I turned toward the door.
I froze.
My breath caught in my throat. A tremor rolled down my spine, as her scent greeted me first.
My eyes moved on instinct, trailing after her steps, she might have stepped into my veins..
She wasn’t wearing a gown.
No silk, or lace.
Just a rope, thin, golden, knotted loosely around her hips. It barely held together the thin layers of sheer fabric that clung to her thighs and left her back utterly bare.
Just like I had wanted
Her tender skin that begged to be sucked and manhandled, made my cock twitch uncontrollably. She trembled under my predatory gaze, shaking like a lamb about to be slaughtered.
The fire inside me ignited in one, violent burst, and I moved.
She barely had time to gasp before I descended upon her. My hand quickly seized her waist and slammed her against the wall.
“Maste…” before she could gasp out, my lips crashed onto her.
A deep growl rumbled inside my chest. She squirmed and shook under my grip. But I was long gone.
My lips continued to devour her, with Desperation and hunger. I felt my control slipping out by every passing second, but I didn’t give a damn.
She tasted like something forbidden. Something addictive.
And it only made me want more.
I angled my head, using my free hand to yank her hair back, tilting her face to meet mine.
She screamed in pain, but my mouth replaced her screams, shutting her up immediately but deepening the kiss. The other gripped her waist so hard I felt her shudder. She made a sound, caught between a gasp and a whimper, and it drove me wild.
Everything blurred, I forgot that I was supposed to be in the dinner room by now.
All I could think about was her.
Her scent. Her sweet taste. The way she felt under me.
And the need to claim her before anyone else could. Damn the fucking dinner can wait.
My hand slowly traced down, but the feeling that something was wrong intensified. My pet suddenly began struggling.
A frown made itself to my face, and finally I moved back, to observe my pet, who wouldn't stop squirming under my gaze.
my nose scrunched up in suspense.
Was that Hesitation, Guilt?. I could smell it coming out in waves from her.
That same strange warning flared inside me again, but I chose to bury it.
I grabbed the golden collar off the velvet tray beside the desk.
“On your knees,” I commanded roughly, my wolf projecting through my voice.
She hesitated only for a heartbeat before sinking down, her hair falling over her shoulders like silver silk.
My chest rose and fell like a storm. The barely restrained hunger in me clawed to be released.
I clipped the collar around her throat, the golden metal locking in place with a soft click. A symbol of ownership,
And tonight, that statement would be made clear to every creature in that hall.
She didn’t speak, but I saw the way her throat bobbed when she swallowed. Her breathing hitched just slightly.
Still, she didn’t resist, just like how a pet is supposed to act.
I leaned in.
Her scent hit me, stars and crushed orchids. Sweet. But something else was in the mix. Now that pleasure was not clouding my head, I could sense it.
I frowned, instinct flaring again.
Something’s wrong.
I narrowed my gaze. “Have you done something I should know about, pet?”
She flinched,
“No master…” her eyes dropped down, but that was all I needed, the slight hesitation in her voice said it all.
I growled in warning, I hated lies and the pet in my front was lying to my face.
The air dropped, I could feel my wolf dax surge to the surface, clamoring to teach her a lesson.
“Sir…” the voice of James, broke the tension. “The guest are waiting”
I held her gaze for a moment longer, before I pulled away.
“Be a good girl tonight, and your punishment may be a little less painful.”
I saw her shudder, but I paid her any attention.
Without a word, I took her by her leash, and led her out.
Tonight, the kingdom would see their new pet.
