💠 Chapter 62 💠

Brianna’s POV

These past few days have been the best days of my life. Ryan and I always go out on dates after work and he always wants to be with me every second. I’m even worried that people will find out that we are in a relationship.

As early as 6am, I heard a knock on my door and pouted my lips. Only Ryan and I are in this mansion so why is he knocking by this time? I just came out from the bathroom and I was in my towel.

I sluggishly walked to the door and opened it and I didn’t fail to notice the glitter in his eyes. Why is he making me uncomfortable with his stare?

“You are looking really beautiful like this, I think I will have to come here every morning just to see you in a towel. You look so hot” he said in a whisper

What is he trying to do so early in the morning? I’m feeling so hot already even though I just came out of the bathroom.

“Why are you here?” I asked after getting a grip on myself

“Well, I came to tell you to dress properly today. I will be introducing you as my girlfriend to the other workers so make sure you look your best. Don’t even think about complaining” he added just before I could say anything

He turned around and left immediately while I was left to ponder on my thoughts. He asked me to dress properly but I have no idea how to dress. I always wear skirts and shirts or tops to work, isn’t that proper enough? I need Helen in this.

I quickly took my phone and dialed her contact which she picked almost immediately. Was she expecting my call?

“Helen my dearest friend, how are you doing?” I asked with a smile

“Your dearest friend? I doubt if I’m even your friend not to talk of being your dearest friend” she scoffed

“Come on Helen, don’t be so mad at me. You didn’t call either so you can’t entirely put the blame on me” I said

“I knew you were going to say that. Just tell me why you called already because I know I’m not that important for you to call me for no reason” she said

“I’m really sorry, I promise to call you frequently from now on” I said

“How many times have you said this one sentence already? I’m tired of hearing it so just say what it is that you have to say” she said

“Fine then! Ryan is going to introduce me as his girlfriend to everyone at work today and he told me to dress properly. I don’t understand what he meant by that so I decided to call you” I explained

“So finally, you are Ryan’s girlfriend. I thought you hated him” she asked

“I don’t hate him anymore. Just tell me already please, it’s getting late” I said

“Okay! Since he asked you to dress properly, I think you should wear a gown instead and try applying a little bit of make over instead of going out with your bear face all the time. I really wish I was there right now but don’t worry. Just apply a little make over and wear a beautiful gown that is enough to turn any man on” she said

“A gown that is enough to turn any man on? It’s not like I want to seduce him or the workers” I said with an eyeroll

“Just do as I tell you and you will thank me later. I have to go now” she said and ended the call

Did I forget to mention that Helen found a job already? Oscar hired her as my replacement and she couldn’t turn him down. It was her chance to live a decent life. Besides, she has made enough money as a stripper already so it’s only natural for her to find a man and settle down.

I checked all the gowns I had and none of them fitted what Helen described. I can’t possibly make an order now just because I want to go to work right? I guess I will just have to pick the best of the best.

After changing and changing, I finally settle for a blue gown. It was a bit short, stopping right above the knees. The sleeve was short and puffy and I picked a bag to match with it.

I applied a light make up like Helen told me to and wore matching blue heels. The lipstick I used was red and it shone brightly on my lips. I looked a bit different as I stared at the mirror and I wonder if Ryan would like it.

“Aren’t you done?” Ryan asked at the door

“I’m coming” I said slowly and walked towards the door

I opened the door and bowed my head in embarrassment but he didn’t say a word so I looked up and saw he was staring at me.

“I didn’t know you were this beautiful. Why have you been wearing skirts since all these days? You kept this beautiful figure hidden and even though you did that, you still looked too beautiful. I’ve never met someone perfect in my entire life but I’ll give you the title of Miss perfect” he said and smiled at me

We got into the car and headed to the company which we arrived at in no time. As we held hands and walked inside, all eyes were on us and I had to keep my head down because I felt shy.

“Why have you been looking down?” Ryan asked when we were in the elevator

“I’m really not used to this, I don’t know what they would think about me” I mumbled

“This isn’t the Brianna I know. The Brianna I know is fearless, daring and doesn’t give a damn about what anyone thinks. I want my Brianna back okay?” he said and I slowly nodded my head

Ryan is right! Brianna isn’t scared of anyone and I shouldn’t even be scared right now that I have Ryan by my side. No one will dare to touch me as long as Ryan is with me.

As we came out of the elevator, I held my head high and walked hand in hand with Ryan. The workers mumbled so many things but just like Ryan said, I don’t give a damn.

Ryan rang the emergency bell and all the workers assembled in the big hall in an instant.

“Today, I’m going to be introducing someone to you. She’s the love of my life and the one person that taught me how to love again. I can’t seem to get enough of her even though I see her every day because to me, she will always be the most beautiful and perfect woman on earth. Brianna!” he called and I walked up to him

All the workers clapped and congratulated us but some were obviously jealous of our relationship. I don’t care about them because I have my Ryan standing right next to me.

After Ryan dismissed them, I suddenly started having a strange feeling and I couldn’t move because I was confused.

“What’s wrong?” Ryan asked

“I don’t know but I have a strange feeling. I feel like something bad is going to happen to you today. Can you please not go out today?” I asked

“I have an important meeting by 2pm and you know that. Don’t worry, nothing will happen to me” he smiled

“You don’t understand. I’ve not felt this way in a long time so please just listen to me” I said

“Forget about that already. Let me tell you something interesting instead. I’ve been thinking of a way to shorten your name since Brianna is too long. Besides, I want to be the only one calling you that name. Guess what I settled for” he said

“It can only be Bree or Anna” I said absent mindedly

“You are wrong. Will you try to guess one more time?” he asked

“No, just say it already” I said

“It’s Rian” he said with a simle

“Rian?” I asked giving him my full attention

“Yes. Your name is Brianna so I’m sure you know where the Rian comes from. Isn’t it just perfect? Ryan and Rian! I’ve never seen any couple as perfect as we are. You don’t need to worry about anything anymore. As long as I have you with me, I will be fine” he said and held my hands

I guess I will have to listen to him this time. If we can stick together, I’m sure nothing will happen to us.
