💠 Chapter 61 💠

Ryan’s POV

I shut my eyes tight as Brianna’s words replayed in my head. Mia has left us for good now and it’s the perfect time to start our relationship but I’m not happy with the fact that she wasn’t there for me when I needed her the most.

No one is perfect in this world but she acts like the most perfect human being on earth just because she’s still a virgin. It’s not like she has never made any mistake since she was born.

“What are you thinking about?” she asked and I finally opened my eyes

“I will think about what you said but I still want to be alone right now” I said

“Let’s go home together, I won’t say a word” she promised

I ignited the car and started the drive home. We arrived at my mansion within a few minutes and she went inside without saying a word. Is she trying to keep her promise or is she ignoring me because she’s upset? She’s not expecting me to forgive her so easily, is she?

I went to my room and decided to take a nap just to clear my head at least and by the time I woke up, it was already past 8.

I went to Brianna’s room since she was the first thing that crossed my mind. I had to knock on her door and wait for her response since the door was locked.

Brianna’s POV

I heard a knock on my door and I needed no one to tell me who it was because it’s just Ryan and I at home.

He said he wanted to take a quick nap since 6 and he’s just waking up when it’s past 8 already. How was he even able to sleep after everything I said? I must really mean nothing to him.

I opened the door after the knock came again and I stared at him as he also stared back at me.

“What do you want?” I asked after a while

“Are you going to start giving me the cold shoulder again? I said I will think about what you said and now you’re doing this again” he said

Guilt washed over me and I immediately regretted my actions. I’m the one at fault here and instead of apologizing and acting gentle towards him, I let my ego take the best part of me and repeat the same mistake over and over again.

“I’m sorry, please come in” I said and made way for him

“Why are you suddenly acting gentle?”

“I’m really sorry about my behavior earlier, I was wrong. So have you thought about what I said?” I asked anxiously

“I thought about it and I’ve decided to….” he said and paused, making me more anxious

“You’ve decided to….” I asked impatiently

“I’ve decided to make you mine. I promise to be a good boyfriend to you and eventually a good husband because I’m going to make you my wife and the mother of my kids. What do you say?” he asked with a smile

I couldn’t control myself as tears blinded my eyes. It feels like a dream and I’m only going to believe it tomorrow morning if things remain this way.

“What? You don’t want to be the mother of my kids?” he asked sadly

“No, I want to be. It’s just that it’s a bit difficult to believe that I actually got what I want for the first time. I never thought I would fall in love and I thought even if I did, the guy I like won’t accept me” I said

“Why? Any guy that refuses you is the dumbest guy in the world. Have you seen how pretty you look?” he asked

“You’ve never said it before, I guess you are just saying it to make me feel better” I said

“No, you’re wrong. I noticed your beauty from the first time we met but my pride as Ryan Santiago didn’t let me admit it. I was shocked to know that there was actually a lady out there who would turn down an opportunity to get that with me.

Another problem is that you were a virgin. I don’t do virgins but I will try to go along with the flow since you are going to be my wife” he said

“Why don’t you like virgins?” I asked

“They always turn out to be too clingy and most girls pretend to be what they are not just because they are virgins” he said

“Alright. What about me then?”

“I already told you. You are totally different from the girls I’ve met before so don’t compare yourself to them. I’ve seen how you really are and I choose to accept you like that” he said

As soon as he was done saying that, I hugged him tightly, feeling safe. I felt different in a positive way and I knew it was time for me to finally enjoy all the happiness I deserve.

“So are you going to be my girlfriend?” he asked excitedly

“Of course! It’s what I’ve always wished for” I said with a smile

“Then, can I sleep in your room this night? I just want to hold you tight forever”

“Sure you can” I said with a blush

“Shouldn’t we eat first?” I asked when he was about sleeping

“That’s true! Now that you mention it, I think I’m really hungry. I will just order something for us, you don’t need to stress yourself” he said and I nodded with a smile

The order soon came and we sat together at the dining as we ate and chatted happily. This perfect life is what I’ve always hoped for and I hope it remains the same.

Justin’s POV

After Mia refused to show up on her wedding day with Ryan, I was expecting him to be sad and ashamed but seeing him smiling so happily with Brianna makes my blood boil.

I only wanted to kill him when Alexander’s cartel gives me the signal but I don’t think I can wait any longer. I need to have Brianna to myself but that will never happen as long as he’s alive.

The only option I have left now is to kill him immediately. Once I kill him, taking over the cartel will only be a piece of cake for me. After all, I’m his right hand man so no one will suspect me.

“I need you to go to Victoria’s restaurant by 2pm. Ryan will be having a meeting with someone at that time so make sure you kill him as he’s entering the restaurant. Remember that it has to be an accident. You can’t use a gun or knife, just hit him hard with the car and make sure he’s going to die” I said to one of my men

“Yes boss!” he answered and turned to leave

“Wait!” I said quickly

“I can’t trust you to do the job for me if I don’t want any mistake. Just forget about it, I will do it myself and make sure to end him for good this time. Let me see hoe being the mafia boss will safe him from my plan this time” I said and picked up my car key.
