Chapter 121 Chapter 121

Chapter 121 Chapter 121
Sienna

I was losing my mind.

I was losing my mind.

I was absolutely losing my mind.

“Search the pack grounds!” Logan yelled to the warriors around me. “Send warriors to the woods! No one goes in or out!” I was hyperventilating in his arms. I tried to free myself from him but he held on tighter, holding the sides of my face and forcing me to look at him.

He was a blurry circle before me. I shut my eyes tight, only wanting to see my cub. Wanting to scent him. Hear him. Touch him. Someone yelled in the background. A tortured sound that absolutely gutted me. My throat burned, and it took a second to register the scream had come from me.

That bastard had Elias.

That bastard had my baby.

I opened my eyes and wiped at my tears. My head was shaking violently, an ache forming at the base of my skull. I couldn't sit back and do nothing. They'd taken Elias. My cub was out there all by himself and the goddess knew what they would do to him. Could he already be–

“No.” Logan said firmly, following my thoughts. I felt all the blood drain from my face. If anything happened to him I would never forgive myself. Around us, the crowd was dispersing as a result of the warriors’ commands. Everyone was instructed and escorted back to their homes as the search began.

I fisted my shaking hands and hugged them to myself.

My entire body was shivering like I'd been doused with a bucket of ice water. I swallowed the lump in my throat as Logan rubbed my sides soothingly, pain twisting the lines of his face. “I left the doors open, figuring you weren't going to take long seeing Nessa off.” My tone was more accusatory than I’d intended.

Even though I was telling the truth, I knew this wasn't the time to start the blame game. I'd truly only left the doors open because of him. “I headed up to have a shower and change and when I got out the first place I went was to Elias's room. He wasn't there and I figured he'd already headed downstairs but I got down and…”

I couldn't say more.

Nothing more needed to be said.

I buried my hands in my hair and pulled, thinking about all the Lycans we’d lost since the first time the pack had been attacked. Whoever this Dorian was, one thing was clear. He was cruel and merciless. He'd stopped at nothing to drive his points across, throwing the pack into a state of unrest for months.

Only the goddess knew what would become of this situation.

Heaving, I tried to control my erratic breathing.

Mara appeared at my side, rubbing my back. I moved away from both of them. I didn't want to be comforted. I only wanted Elias back in my arms. Elias, who was the reason I'd kept going when my entire world had gone bleak. When nobody had wanted me.

Including my mate.

My feet began moving of their own accord. I realized I was heading towards the center of the pack. Logan was on my heel. “Sienna, wait.” His voice was worried and urgent. “We're going to find him, I swear it. Where are you going?”

The more he spoke, the faster I walked.

“Sienna!”

My feet moved faster; one in front of the other until I realized I was full on running. I wasn't bothered about my destination, I just knew I couldn't stay here. I couldn't. He wanted me to wait while Elias was out there all by himself? Probably scared out of his mind?

Wind slapped my face as I ran faster towards the borders of the pack. Elias wasn't hiding in someone's home. Dorian was smarter than that. Wherever he'd taken him, it was definitely somewhere outside the pack. “Sienna, wait!” Logan was hot on my heels with Mara and Maurie.

From the corner of my eyes I spotted some warriors advancing towards me. I tried to evade them but it was too late. “Don't you dare touch me!” I yelled at them, pointing a shaky finger in their direction. Logan gave them a single nod. Ignoring my order, they each took a hold of my arm.

“You're not making things any easier by running off into the woods all by yourself!” He scolded, running his hand down his face. He looked like he'd aged ten years in ten minutes. If I wasn't already too affected by the situation, I might have seen things from his perspective.

I caught sight of Elise hurriedly walking towards me, Mara and Maurie behind her. Why was she here? My attention moved to Logan. He was giving the warriors a signal to escort me back to the mansion. Tears steaked down my face as I pleaded with him. “Let me go find him! Logan, please let me go find him–”

“I won't let yourself–”

“Oh please!” I interrupted. Now he wanted to act like I mattered more than anything? Now that I had everything to lose he cared about my safety? “It's your fault he's gone!” I spat, ignoring the way he flinched. I crashed in the warriors’ arms. “Let go of me!”

Logan gave Elise a subtle nod. I paused, registering the silent instruction he was giving. My eyes widened as I saw the syringe in her hand. I pushed at the warriors, glaring daggers at Logan. I would never forgive him for this. Once again, he was making a rash decision in the heat of the moment and only thinking about himself.

“I would never forgive–”

Elise injected the needle into my arm.

Logan drew his eyebrows together like he was in physical pain seeing me like this. I tried to get the last word of my sentence out but my tongue suddenly felt too heavy to move. I fought the drug as hard as I could but it was pointless.

In a heartbeat I was out like a light.
