Chapter 85 I Love You
HANNAH (THIRD POV)
How dare she?
Who the hell did she think she was to speak to Hannah like that? That little wench who had been rescued from her pack of untrained wolves had the guts to look her in the face and say such things to her.
Anger boiled within her and she couldn’t sit still so she paced around the room, thinking about how to get back at her. She had to pay for the constant embarrassment that she brought on her.
She wouldn’t accept it. She just couldn’t.
How would that stupid man that she had paid to kidnap her fail? She should have known better, she should have just done it herself.
How hard was it to tell her that someone she knew was right outside, asking for her? And how did Adriana even know that he hadn’t been saying the truth?
Also, how did she know that she had been the one behind the plan? Everything just wasn’t making sense.
She had thought that she finally found a way to get her out of the way, to make her not exist anymore since her plan with Lisa had failed woefully.
That had just pissed her off so bad. How hard could it be to bite her head off her body or stab her in the neck? That was why she had specifically told her to come in her wolf form.
But of course, she had gone ahead and done her own thing and messed up the plan. It hadn’t been easy to get them into the pack. She’d had to bribe the guards and those of them who refused money, she had to sleep with.
All so that Adriana could die.
In the end, the plan didn’t work and she felt very disgusted with herself that she’d had to sleep with all those men for nothing. She wished Lisa could die wherever she was.
Now, she’d asked someone to kidnap and kill her, a job that shouldn’t be so hard, considering that she’d told him what to say and whose name to call.
But he messed it up badly and the bitch had come to gloat in her face and it made her feel so bad.
She just wished that Elijah would look at her. Even though she’s been trying for years and he hadn’t even looked at her once, she knew that eventually, he was going to look at her because Leo was going to need a motherly figure and she was sure that she was the right one.
Even though she was his aunt, she hated him so much. He reminded her of her brother and the fact that he wasn’t here didn’t sit right with her. It should be her brother that’s here and not him.
Not this boy who couldn’t speak, what a waste.
She didn’t even care about the boy’s mother. That one had been a whore from the onset and she’d hated the fact that her brother had married her in the first place.
Basically, she had her brother to blame for abandoning her and getting married and she’d always hated him for it.
Now Adriana had come to ruin things for her. But as long as they weren’t married yet, she didn’t care. It meant that she still had a chance and that was all that mattered to her and that’s what she was going to focus on.
She was surely going to get him for herself and that was final.
There was a knock on the door and it opened. A maid walked in and she looked at the girl like she had lost it.
“What is it?” She asked her with anger.
The girl shifted from one foot to the other, playing with her fingers and Hannah didn’t have any time for this.
“I want to help you.” She shyly admitted.
“What? What did you say?”
Her head was bent facing the ground and she couldn’t even see her eyes.
“I want to help you achieve your plan.”
She frowned, wondering what fool this was. Did this fool think this was a joke?
“What are you talking about? If you can’t make your point clear, get out. I have more important things to do than listen to your nonsense.”
The girl’s heart was thumping loudly in her chest. This was not how she had imagined the conversation.
“You want to kill Adriana right? I want to help you do that.”
That was enough to get her attention.
“And why do you want to help me all of a sudden?”
There was no point in denying it. At this point, it was obvious that she needed all the help that she could get.
This was a question the girl had been avoiding for quite a while and now that she had been asked, she shuddered to speak under the gaze of the woman who had her heart.
“I’ve been in love with you since I came into this house and I just want you to be happy.”
Hannah thought it was crazy that this maid would think of her in that light but oh well, if there was something she was good at doing, it was making the best of every situation.
She moved closer to the girl.
“You like me huh?”
She slowly nodded.
Hannah obviously wasn’t interested. She had never looked at girls that way and she never will but it seemed that things were working out for her and she needed to use this chance that she had.
“Well, I guess it won’t be too bad to have a taste of what you’re like.” She traced her finger across the girl’s face, making her shudder.
“Since you want to help me, I’ll let you know. Once you start, there’s no going back. If you don’t have the guts to do as you’re told, you might as well get out. I don’t have time to make deals with chickens.”
When the girl didn’t move just as she’d thought, she smiled.
“Good because I have a plan that I’m very sure will work.”
