Aurelia's POV

I sat on the bed unable to believe what just happened, Derek could do something like this.

Was I going to tell Alpha Dorian? I don’t think I would even be able to do it but at the same time I can’t keep it to myself like I wasn’t just molested by Derek.

I stood up form the bed and walked back and forth and just then Esther walked in and she had a wide smile face which she immediately returned and dropped some side dish on my bed and I couldn’t help but understand what she meant.

“You need to look healthy and fresh as possible .” She said and pulled me to take a seat but I wanted to badly tell her happened ,

“You look bothered.” She said to me and then pointed the spoon filled with yogurt to my lips but u looked away as I sign that I didn’t want to eat anything yet.

“You can talk to me, don’t forget you are meant to trust me.” She says and I finally summoned up the courage to speak.

“I want to know what always happens to all the mate brought to this palace?” I asked and I could swear that’s why acted a bit differently to my words but I still wanted to know so badly,

She dropped the spoon down and turned her attention to me,

“I don’t think you would want to know what happens to them and I think it would be better if we just keep it away from each other.” She said and that made me curious , I turned my whole body to her and held her hands in mine.

“You don’t seem to really know me and I the more you try to keep things from me the more I try to know more.” I said to her and she smiled and then nodded,

“Fine I would tell you but you have to promise me that you won’t say anything about it.” She said.

“And I promise you I won’t do or say anything to anyone.” I said her and she smiled,

“All of Alpha Dorian mates never get to survive the ball, they all:..” she paused again which placed me on the edge again as I waited for her to talk but instead she stood up and before she could take one step away from me or try to escape I pulled her back with my hands.

“You can’t go anywhere, you have to tell me the truth now.” I said to her and groaned before taking her seat again.

“All of them, they don’t get to survive…they die that same day and I don’t know how it happens but I just don’t know, it’s just too tragic and we gave up on him ever having a mate again but then he brought you in that night.” She said and I held my chest…what does this mean? Does this mean that today is my last day and someone is trying to kill me?

Or would actually kill me….

“Why!! Why would someone want to do something like that to me and to everyone.” I said to her and she looked down sadly.

“I am sorry but I didn’t want to tell you because I am sure that you would bail out or trY to run away but I want you to know that Alpha Dorian is the best person that can ever happen to anyone and then only thing holding him down is that so many people want to kill him,” she said and even though i was very scared, I knew there was nothing I could do.

“So why do you say? What’s your final decision? Would you run away…I won’t stop you if you want to run away but he ain’t worth the betrayal.” She said and I smiled while thinking about it.

“I won’t ran away from you because you are all I have and Alpha Dorian saved my life even before he knew i was his mate and still made me be like a queen so I won’t run away because the other mates weren’t strong enough because I am going to be much stronger than them.” I said to her and she opens her eyes widely, almost about to burst out of her eyes.

“I know you won’t do something like that and would stick to him, it’s also a good thing I told you because now I know you would be extra careful and won’t let anything happen to you.” She said and before I could say anything else she beat me to it.

“Let me tell you something, If you are ready to find who did this to the other mates and make sure it stops then I am ready to be by your side. I would fight by yours side to the very end.” She said and I felt so emotional and wasted no time in hugging her tightly.

“You are the best and I would be forever grateful for that.” I said to her and just then one of the guards knocked and walked in.

“Alpha Dorian said I would escort you after you are done and the ball has already began.” He said an di smiled and nodded so he walked out.

I turned back to Esther, “now, let’s do this.,,let’s get this all together, we would end this curse tonight.” I said to her and she nodded before standing up and bringing out my dress but I wasn’t just as bold as I stated.

“Please moon goddess, I want you to help me…I need to find out the truth and make sure that everything goes as planned.” I prayed as Esther arranged my hair.

“You don’t have to worry Aurelia,the moon goddess had a reason to pick you again and give you a. Chance with Alpha Dorian.” She assured me and I smiled. I hope she is right because I don't want to die just yet, I still need to be loved.
