Aurelia pov

After some minutes I was soon ready and Esther was also wearing one of her best dresses to be my escort.

“You look Beautiful”, she said and I smiled at her.

“You even look more beautiful and you know I hardly ever compliment you but tonight you look so good.” I said to her and we walked out of the room only to see that the guards were all ready and then the escorts where also behind us, why do I even need this much escort to a simple ball?

“I know you are wondering why we are here but you need to protected, if you remember what I said before you would have understood.” She said I nodded because I understood what she meant.

I walked out of the palace building only to see a limousine waiting for us and looking ahead, the ball wasn’t that far…why do I even need a car?

“Do I really need to ride there when I can just walk there?” I said to Esther who rushed and held my hand before whispering in my ear.

“Alpha Dorian would never let you suffer like that, you need all the princess treatment so do not complain.” She said to me and then I entered, I guess sooner or later I would need to get used to this princess treatment.

It was just a five minute ride to the ball and Esther gave me a very beautiful mask to cover up and after doing it she did the same to me and we both giggled, this was even much better than I wanted.

It was a good thing that Alpha Dorian ended up changing it and we would cover up with a mask which was a good thing to me.

I came out of the car and it was filled up with people trying to walk in and as if they had been informed that I was here, the main limelight shined brightly on me and putted on a wide smile to cover it all up and walked carefully in fright of all the attention I was getting.

“I never expected it to be this crowded.” I muttered to her and she giggled.

“They want to see the end game, you know they thought Alpha Dorian would never have a mate of his own after the continuous death but now things have changed.” She said to me and I giggled. I wish I would be the end game to stop everything.

“You have to wave your hand as a way of appreciating them and do not dance with anyone except the alpha and only when he hands you over to someone else.” She said and I nodded and also did not waste time in waving at everyone.

They began to yell and dream like they were so happy to see me wave and I was loving it while feeling like some sort of celebrity.

“What else do I need to do?” I said to Esther in hopes to know what she would say next.

“You don’t have to do anything other than walk directly to Alpha Dorian when you get in.” She said and just then the grand door was opened and I saw Alpha Dorian at the far end and everyone attention was on me as the room was in uproar…they all whispered to themselves and if not for Esther who was holding to me I would have tripped and fallen to the ground, that was just how nervous i was.

I was soon left behind by Esther and now walking solo towards Alpha Dorian who had a wide smile on His face and just two steps away…he began to clap making everyone also join in clapping.

“You are beautiful, you look breathtaking.” He says and I couldn’t help but blush and be so happy with myself…why would someone ever dare to want to do anything bad to a king like this, he had done nothing but shower me with all the kindness In the world and yet he is being hated.

He stretched his hand to me and I collected it before standing in front of everyone on the high stage.

“I know most of you here would be so shocked and surprised that the moon goddess has decided to bless me with another mate and the best.” He said but was cut off shut by the entrance of someone coming in.

It was Alpha Alderwho stepped in and my heart felt hitched and I suddenly found it hard to breathe.

“Do not be nervous, he can’t do anything to you and won’t ever get the chance to do that.”he said to assure me but he just couldn’t understand how I felt,watching him find his way into the ballroom it made me recall everything again and again and the incident even continued to flash in my head making me unaware of all what was going on again.

“Aurelia.” I heard my name and was scared that he had found out but it was Alpha Dorian and he was holding my hand. I smiled at him and just watched.

“I am trying to be calm but nothing is working, he is making everything just so bad for me…he made me regret life itself.” I said to him and kept calm, alpha Alder walked in and stood in front of me and Alpha Dorian, he didn’t even bother to follow the protocol of the invitation and didn’t wear the mask which I loved and isn’t find offensive at all.

“Alpha.” He said and bowed and it was so obvious that he was just faking the act.

“Thanks.” He said and I wished it could end anytime.

“A mask ball, that’s really just magnificent.” He said and I could tell he wasn’t happy about it and just wanted to cover up by asking a question.

“Yes, she doesn’t want her identity revealed and you know what happened to my previous mates.” I loved his response to him.
