Chapter Eighty Six
Chapter Eighty Six
Luna's Pov
I stared into the distance at the unicorn that galloped away at full speed, its words echoing in my head.
Face who I am. What exactly did it mean by that? Nikkie also said something similar. Facing my selfishness by deciding to do the things I'd always denied people. Having kids. Well, let's say I was a selfish person, and the most selfish thing I've ever done was try not to have kids when others wanted them so much.
But to see the author, I had to face my selfishness. Was he telling me to have a kid? In Keira's body?
No. It can't be that. The other things I'd been selfish about were a thousand minor things that just made up my gigantic selfish reputation. The only major one I knew was the issue of kids, since I trampled on so many in denying having kids.
I turned around, and began to walk away from the clasp of trees, making my way back to the celebrations.
I walked into the hall, back in the midst of the buzzing music, looking all around. What the heck was wrong with this party? Where were my friends?
Maybe they were looking for me too, and couldn't find me… “May I have this dance?” Nikkie's voice came from behind, and I whipped around to find him smiling, holding out his hand.
Finally!
“Where have you been? You had me so worried!”
“We were at the table with the so-called important people waiting for you.” He said, moving closer, and then I noticed it.
Good Lord, have mercy.
Who the hell put Nikkie in a white suit? Did they plan on murdering me?
“Or do you want to escape? Dance somewhere less rowdy? I found a better place, actually. May I have your hand?” He put out his hand gently, and streaks of crimson struck my cheeks.
My heart fluttered in my chest as I placed my hand in his, “You may,” I replied, clearing my throat.
His hand was as warm as usual, and I felt my chest flutter, feeling it become as warm as his hand. It was a furry feeling, like hugging a warm pup.
Nikkie and I wound through the tons of people dancing as the music swayed them to the rhythm.
We burst into an empty hallway.
“I think you would love it. It's a beautiful sight.” Nikkie said, as we turned up a stairway.
We walked up the winding staircase, going round and round till we reached the very top, where there was a large set of double doors.
“Here. Found it when I was searching for you.” He said, turning around to watch me, his blue eyes alive with joy, “Go on. Open it.” He said, placing a gentle hand on my waist to push me forward.
I went to the double doors, placing my hands on the handles, before turning them downwards, pushing it open.
And before me was…
My lips parted, my breath taken away. Before me was beauty in its shattering form. It was a vast rooftop, spread wide all around, and beyond the rooftop were trees crowded around a beautiful straight river.
The trees were in different colors; gold, pink, green, white, purple… And white lights were roped all around the trees, causing their colors to glow, and giving the water a heavenly and divine look.
Nikkie stood next to me.
“I wanted you to see it. Your life has been strictly in black and white. I wanted you to see something different. Something beautiful.” He said, softly, staring out at the sprawl of beautifully weaponized nature.
Then he turned to me, and held out his hand. I took it, and moved closer, placing my other hand on his shoulder.
His other arm was wrapped around my waist, and he pulled me closer.
Slowly, we swayed to the music, eyes locked in each other's as an unbreakable tension lay in the air all around us.
“Are you sure I'm the one you want to show this, not Keira?” I asked, a little smile tugging on my lips, as my heart filled up, overflowing with the feeling of satisfaction.
“Yes, you.” He replied, huskily, his eyes holding a softness I'd come to anticipate and like.
“It's beautiful. Thank you, Nikkie. I ought to be so devastated, but because you're here with me, I don't feel so helpless.” I whispered, staring into his eyes, “Indeed, you've shown me beautiful things. A lot of them, but you're the most beautiful thing you've shown me.”
My hand left his shoulder, and traced his eyebrows.
“I know it's just Keira's feelings, but I can't help but think this is exactly what Keira would want. After all, I'm carrying out her actions.” I said softly, my breath mingling with his, as we suddenly found the space between our faces bridged.
My fingers tucked his hair behind his ear delicately, before trailing themselves down his face.
The gentle wind sent whispers against my back, causing goosebumps to rise. My eyes fell on Nikkie's lips. That masterpiece. A beautiful work of art.
Every part of me was tensed, stiff, wanting him to touch me more, roam his hands around my body, causing me to moan in delight. It was exactly what I wanted.
Then his hand came around my neck, as he bent and his lips seized mine.
Oh, the longing! I sucked on his lips delightfully before releasing them with a smack, only to grab them with mine again. We let our delicious lips smack as we kissed, increasing the frequency, and leveling up the pace and sound. It would never be enough. My hands round themselves around his neck as my tongue seered into his warm mouth, catching his and sucking on it with heat radiating through my body.
His hand tumbled my pins to the floor, taking down my hair, allowing it to cascade around me in warmth. Then his arms wrapped around my buttocks, lifting me so we could kiss deeper. I held onto his face, like I'd eaten his lips.
Then he went down slowly. We managed to ease ourselves down to the ground and I began to work on his clothes as I straddled him, taking off the unwanted robes they'd draped around his beautiful body.
I took them off hastily, before fiddling with mine. He rose into a sitting position, delivering hot kisses to my soft skin, as I tore my dress apart.
Enveloped in desire, we got rid of clothes without even knowing how we got around to it, landing kisses everywhere, stroking forbidden places, moaning and kissing, and touching and licking.
I was so wet down there that when he slid in tight and hard, it didn't take a minute to break through Keira's virginity.
Nikkie and I…
We made love.
