Chapter 85: Chapter Eighty Five
Keira's Pov
I didn't know for how long I screamed, but I did know that while I was fighting inside me, some insane creature was roaring loud and frightfully, but I didn't even care to know what creature that was.
I was just so sick and tired of everything. If I lost Nikkie, I didn't know how I would feel, how I would fight, because it was bound to have a huge impact on me. Was there actually anything I could do without him?
Finally, I was able to regain my senses when I was able to hold on to the image of Nikkie in my head.
My hands scraped the sand, squeezing them into my palms, while saliva dropped from my open mouth mixed with blood.
I raised my head slightly, looking around. Evening had fallen, but I could see their faces clearly. They looked like they'd seen a beast. I would have fretted, looking around me, but I didn't seem to have the strength to.
They were far from me. Even the wolf I'd injured badly was feet away from me, looking absolutely terrified. The three psychos who were waiting to fight me were also far away, eyes and ears bleeding as they shuffled themselves away from me.
However, my brain could barely function with every last ounce of strength gone from me.
The world slid into darkness as my eyeballs rolled upwards into my sockets, and the last sound I heard was the sound of me thudding to the floor lifelessly.

My eyes fluttered open slowly, meeting the white ceiling of the warm room. Opening my eyes, I caught the IV stand, and old-fashioned machines beeping around me.
The smell of antibiotics was pungent in the air—damn, I hated that smell!
“Are you awake now?” I heard a voice say, and turned to see the Alphas seated next to me on the other side of the bed.
I rose, but winced slightly as I did, before I was stopped by Caleb.
“Come on, you're not done healing yet. Sit back, and rest.” He said, pushing down my shoulders with a smile.
“What happened? I don't remember much.”
“Apparently, you're halfway to becoming the Luna we know.” Caleb began, still with his smile on,
“What does that mean?” I asked, baffled.
“You fought bravely without doing much,” Ryder said, curtly, and I locked eyes with Zane, who was still scrutinizing me.
He was almost convinced that I wasn't Luna. I could see it in his eyes, plain and clear.
“Halfway to becoming the Luna, we know. I think we all know she has never done anything like this. I think it's pretty weird how all that happened.” Zane's eyes were boring holes into my face. Damn, what was with this man! Why was he terrorizing me? You never fight with emotions. Heck, do you even have emotions? But yesterday, I could feel the distress, the pain wasn't from your wounds. My wolf howled within me from the intensity of your misery and pain.
That was a strange feeling I'd never felt before. Yesterday, I felt the exact same way you felt. You were so… how do I put it? The emotions went so deep. Your roar wasn't a roar of anger or hurt, it was of helplessness, hopelessness.
“Those women bled from their eyes and ears. They were forced to step back. The fear of approaching you was way too great. The question is; when did you become so capable of that?”
When people said emotions could move mountains, I never really believed them, but this was proof that my emotions had pushed Luna's powers to their fullest. The fact that I was so hurt, struck from within, torn beyond repair, brought out new dimensions of her that she herself wasn't aware of.
“So what's your conclusions?” I asked quietly, “Do you think I'm possessed or something?”
Well, switching souls was almost the same as possession. My soul took her body. The only difference was that Luna's soul wasn't anywhere in her body.
“I get a wary feeling from you, Luna. But first, I'll need to know exactly what happened that day.”
“Well, I have no memory of it. I don't know what happened.” I snapped.
For some reason, there was that growing, unstoppable urge to be alone. Their presence was suffocating me, choking me.
It came in the form of a pushing heat, threatening to overwhelm me. I felt like I would scream. What was wrong with me? I just needed to process my thoughts, and think deeply, search into my soul, and find the cause of this aching feeling.
“I think we should give Luna some space. I feel things have been tough on her side. We should let her rest some more.” Caleb said, like he read my mind, and I could not be more grateful than I already was.
I owe him huge thanks.
Zane rose from his seat, giving me a cold look, before turning away from me, walking out of the hospital ward.
“I'll also give you some space.” Caleb said, getting to his feet.
“Thanks.” I replied, without looking at him.
Only Ryder remained. I stared out the window continuously, waiting patiently for him to leave, but he stood still, watching me.
“Do you have anything to say?” I asked him, finally turning to look at him.
“Nikkie.” He replied without hesitation.
“Niki?”
“You shouted that name while you were in the duel.”
“Oh.”
“Who is Nikkie?”
My brows furrowed, “is Niki a name? As in Nickie?”
“You… Keira, that is the name of the man you were in…” His words trailed off, as he sighed.
My eyes went wide. What did he just say?
Ryder looked into my eyes, not taking them off.
“Keira.”
I sat upright, watching him.
“Remember that dream? Where did you tell me about the future? And how do you wish to go back? And how Luna is in the future? That wasn't a mere dream. I walked into your dream that night.”
That dream…..
It wasn't actually a dream.
