Rushing to the Mage’s bedside and making sure that she calmed herself Genni placed her hand on her arm. You could see the difference instantly, Hilda’s breathing became more regular and she had stopped crying. ‘You need rest Hilda’ said Jonas. ‘We can talk about everything tomorrow, there’s no rush. Your safe from Silas and his deranged wolf pack’. Hilda looked shocked at the last part. ‘Silas? Why would you say I’m safe from him? Silas was the only reason I got out of the trap!’. Staring at each other in shock at what Hilda just said Jonas queried it. ‘My Beta and Genevieve’s Gamma risked their life’s when they found you. You were unconscious, hiding in a cave. Before you pasted out you told My Beta that Silas was chasing you?’ Hilda had red blushes appear high on her cheek bones, looking between the two of them Hilda asked if she could speak with Genni alone as she had something personal to say. ‘Fine’ said Jonas snapping at her. ‘I will be back in 5 mins and you will tell me then what the fuck is going on’!
Watching her very sulky mate walk out of the hospital room made Genni smile, turning back to Hilda genni said ‘He really doesn’t like getting his own way. Anyway, what do you need to tell me, and only me’. You could see Hilda swallow hard, she was obviously nervous with made Genni nervous. Did she have something awful to tell them? Genni sat by the side of the bed after insisting that Hilda stay in bed. ‘What do you need to tell me’?
‘Your Grace, I believe that I have messed up and I ask for your forgiveness. I have always known that it was my destiny to serve the Goddess Selene’s daughter when she came of age. I know I don’t look it but I’m a lot older than I appear to be. I always knew that my life would be dedicated to you so I never thought for one moment that I could or would fall…..’ Hilda covered her face and started to weep once again. Shaking her head at her Genni reached out again and touch Hilda’s hand. Once again the crying stopped but Genni could see a deeper emotion in her eyes. Hilda was hurting and Genni needed to find out why. ‘Please try to continue, Jonas will be back soon’ nodding at Hilda to encourage her to continue talking she also squeezed her hand gentle. ‘Your Grace, I have fallen in love, with a werewolf. He is my mate. What do I do?’ Hilda couldn’t speak anymore as she started sobbing again and Genni decided to let the women cry, as sometimes we all need a good cry. Looking up and out of the small window in Hilda’s room as the outer door opened genni could see Jonas striding in but he was not alone, this time he had Greg with him. Frowning a little at the fact Greg was here at all and not with Sara, genni waited for them to walk through the door to the hospital room. A nurse rushed in behind them and started spouting time tables and visitor number limits but when she saw that the visitors were her Alpha, Luna and Beta she quickly spun on her heel and blushing furiously she ran off saying ‘never mind’.
Nodding to Genni and linking with her to ask her to try and calm the mage down before he started to speak. Sitting back down next to her Genni reached for her hand and held it firmly within her grasp. ‘Hilda’ said Jonas gently ‘can you tell us what happened to you’? Pulling up another chair while also handing one to Greg Jonas sat on the other side of the bed. But, Hilda just kept crying and Genni could see that Jonas was getting frustrated. Standing up so she could whisper in Hilda’s ear, Genni asked her question and when Hilda nodded and said ‘yes’ Genni smiled at her and then, looking at Jonas and Greg asked them both to hold hands. Looking Rather startled by this request Jonas started his usual little rant about wasting time. ‘My love, I adore you and only you, but, if you don’t hold hands with the people either side of you you are going to be sorry!’ Staring at his mate in shock and then feeling himself get hard at the authority in her voice he smirked at her and did as he was told. Sitting a bit uncomfortably as his erection was pressing in to the front of his pants. Still shifting and shuffling Genni raised one eyebrow at him and seeing this Jonas went a bit pink and settled down while Greg sniggered at him.
‘Please excuse the men Hilda, but please carry on’. Genni tried to sound soothing but she was a little irked by the guys. Taking a huge breathe in Hilda began to speak.
‘When I left here I had every intention of travelling west as I wanted to speak with a Faye contact I have over in silver lake but before I got there I had a message from my elder Mage telling me I had to go south east. So that is what I did. I traveled mostly through the day and checked in to cheep motels here and there. It was after leaving the second motel I realised I was being followed. I couldn’t tell by what as they had masked their scent very well and it seems they were immune or knew the counter attack for the spells I tried. I kept getting followed and on my 5th day from you I noticed that there was one more ‘thing’ following me. I was hardly sleeping at this point as I was always had my guard up. But it didn’t work for some reason, I admit I was scared so I walked quickly a few blocks until I could see a diner. Wanting to rest and not feel like I was being hunted I went in and BANG, it was done’. Looking at Genni for reassurance that the next part would not be seen as a failure, Hilda plowed on with her story. ‘I had walked into the waitress as I walked through the door of the diner as I was preoccupied and wasn’t paying attention. She went down like a sack of shit, I apologised over and over and as I was helping her up another person walked over and started to pick up the plates and things that had fallen to the floor. I apologised to him as well for making him work and as he looked up at me I saw his eyes widen and all I can remember hearing was MATE.’ Hilda started to cry again but much less this time. Looking at Genni for help with how to deal with this emotional creature. Genni linked with both men at the same time ‘just follow my lead. Do not fuck about, this is important. I’m sure of it.’ Jonas snorted and Greg rolled his eyes, adding to the punishment Jonas was going to have later. ‘Hilda’ Genni said softly ‘you cant help being someone’s mate, you haven’t done anything wrong, ok’ and to reaffirm her words Genni gave Hilda’s hand another squeeze but this time it was for longer. Taking strength for Genni, Hilda was ready to carry on ‘when Your Grace spoke earlier of me being saved by Greg and Sara from Silas Jonas of the Richdale pack I was stunned. You see, Silas was, is , my Mate. We got to know each other pretty well over the next few days and while I was with him a didn’t feel like I was being watched. So when I decided to step outside his pack boundary to use my phone and update you I got jumped. A hood was slung over my head and I could feel myself being lifted and taken somewhere. When the hood came off me I realised that I was in the Faye realm, but one that existed more in this realm.
All was clam for a moment then I was attacked. I couldn’t use magic to save me as my magic had been blocked somehow. I suffered in that first attack, they beat me till I fell on the floor and then they kicked and punched. I must have blacked out cos when I woke up I was in a makeshift cell. For days I was questioned about Your Grace’ Hilda said looking at Genni. Genni gestured for Hilda to carry talking while she continued to link with Jonas and Greg. ‘I couldn’t/ wouldn’t talk about you and this made them all very angry especially the queen. She demanded that my hands be cut off, as it would prevent me doing my Magic. That was her first mistake her second was complacency. As I was being kept in some kind of glass orb I noticed that two of my jailers used the time guarding me as a catch up on their sleep. I knew my only way out was to wait for the two cretins to fall asleep. When the opportunity arose i was going to make a run for it. Unfortunately for me she had other guards surrounding the area where I was kept and pretty soon I was running for my life. One of the guards threw a large stone at my head and I fell down, luckily, there was a small ravine with steep banks. Using what seemed to be the last of my strength I followed the ravine and found a small cave. I went inside and hide. A few days later I heard movement outside and I thought my hiding place was discovered. It was Silas, but in his wolf form. I was so relieved to see him, he quickly shifted and after making sure I was ok he changed back and lay with me keeping me warm in the hope I would regain enough strength to get back to his pack lands and safety. He left to try to find the fiends that had attacked me, he thought I would be safe. That was when Greg and Sara found me. I was still very weak, I tried to tell them about Silas but I think my injuries finally caught up with me and I guess I past out. Next thing I know I’m here and Silas is being blamed for hurting me when all he was trying to do is save me from your Pack. It’s just a big mess, I’m so sorry for causing it your grace, please forgive me’! Genni was taken aback at everything that had been said and she looked at Jonas now with a frantic look. Greg was looking stunned by the news he had just heard.
