Life moves on and you slowly settle into a rhythm. That’s what happened to them all. They all had jobs to do. Rosemary was standing in for Sara at the moment as official Gamma to the luna and was having a whale of a time. Genni was getting the hang of being Luna and had already memorised the names of all the she-wolves and the children. It was harder to meet the males when all they did was train but as Genni knew how important it was she didn’t say anything. The only thing worrying her was the lack of news from Sara herself. She and Greg had been gone nearly two weeks now and even Jonas had stopped pretending he wasn’t worried. It was 8pm one night and Genni had sent the afternoon and early evening with her father and Martha. It was so wonderful to see them both so happy. As they were older in age, their words, Daniel wanted to court Martha and loving this idea Martha was on board for a bit of attention. Walking slowly up to the first floor the door suddenly flew open. There were guards there within seconds but Genni still had a fright. From the office she could hear Jonas yelling and she stayed where she was. There was a flurry of activity and then she recognised Sara’s voice and she sounded frantic. Clearly having linked to her parents she could hear both of them thundering down the stairs. Rushing past Genni who was still frozen on the stairs. Upon seeing her father Sara collapsed in his arms, Molly screamed and Genni snapped out of it and hurried down the last few steps. Jonas was out of his office and on the ground next to someone in mere seconds. When Genni got closer she could see that greg had fallen to his knees holding an unconscious Hilda but that was not what had her covering her mouth to stop the strangled yell from escaping it. Sara was covered in blood, and was unresponsive laying in her fathers arms, Molly was sobbing at her side while Peter just rocked her best friend back and forth. Running into the pack house Doc Julia scanned the scene around her and telling her assistants to see to sara she made her way to Greg and Hilda. Genni notices Jonas was covered in blood and realsied that Greg was wounded too. Satisfied that Hilda was merely unconscious but alive she instructed a few of the omega’s that had gathered to take her over to the hospital. When they left Julia went to assess Greg who batted her away and told her to go to Sara. As greg said this she heard Molly scream NO,NO and as if in slow motion she saw Julia close Sara’s eyes with her fingers. Genni was aware that Julie was saying sorry to the Urbana’s, she was aware of Peter yelling and Molly shouting, she was aware that greg, ignoring his own injuries pushed himself up and fell and Sara’s feet while sobbing himself. Looking at Jonas with her eyes huge in her face she was aware that her mate was approaching her with tears in his eyes. Genni was aware of all of this. Had the world gone mad! What was wrong with everyone? They were acting like Sara had died! Sara had died? My Sara, My Sara had died. When Jonas got to her he had to hold her back as realty smacked her in the face and she looked at the body of her best friend. She struggled against Jonas so much that Jonas had no choice but to let her go for fear of hurting her. Once Genni reached Sara she asked hold her. Looking at Genni with tears staining their faces both Peter and Molly nodded. Peter laid Sara in Genni’s arms as the latter sat down. When he was free of his daughter he turned bac to hug his mate. Gathering Greg to the embrace as well. While all three of them cried to each other Jonas watched his mate while grief gripped his heart. He watched as Genni traced the delicate features of her friends face, he watched as the tears slid down her cheeks knowing he could do nothing to stop them from falling, he watched as Genni gathered Sara body into a hug and he watched as Genni started rocking back and forth. Daniel and Martha had ran out to the kitchen and Lucas had jumped both staircases to stand next to his father. All faces showed shock and grief. The entryway went quieter as the three groups of people cried. Jonas was trying to get Genni to put Sara’s body on the floor but Lucas, shaking his head at his brother in law pulled him away. Molly pulled away from peter and Greg and made her way over to her baby girl. Genni seemed to be sitting in the middle of the floor so molly had to walk a few steps before she would reach them. Her legs were trembling so badly that every step was an effort. When she was half way between her mate and her daughter Molly’s legs gave out and shouting out peter kept toward her and caught her before she hit the floor. That was when a small cough was heard, a small cough and someone saying ‘how the fuck did I get here’ looking down at her friend Genni said ‘you’d better ask your mate that. But I think we would all like to now’. The hallway erupted, molly flung herself at Genni and Sara, kissing both girls and sharing a fair amount of snot. Peter, still on his knees started thanking the moon goddess and greg who had come around to the other side of Genni stroked his beloved mates head and said ‘you should be thanking Genni not her’. Looking down into the now shining face of the women he loved Jonas once again marvelled at the gift they had all be given. Sara slowly got of the floor with the help of Greg and her mom and turning back to look at Genni shouted that the Luna was hurt. Grabbing her before she threw herself back on the floor and to the luna Greg explained that it was her blood that Genni was covered in. That stopped her in her tracks. Watching as Jonas helped his Luna up Sara’s eyes widened and nearly popped out of her head when she realised what had happened. Jonas barked ‘Office Now!’ and everyone in the inner circle walked towards it. Closing the door behind them Daniel and Martha(as Daniel’s fated mate could be trusted) stood back as everyone settled themselves. The only two people who didn’t sit where they normally would were Genni and Sara who were standing up holding on to each other. They were murmuring to each other in between tears of joy. Everyone was looking at them when they finally heard Genni say ‘because I love you’ still holding each other just an arms length apart now Sara and Genni smiled at each other then Genni pushed Sara onto Gregs waiting lap. And as Greg was the filling in an Urbana sandwich on the sofa Sara was immediately surrounded by the people that loved her the most.
Jonas’s eyes glazed for a second showing that he was linking with someone. Looking at Genni, who nodded at him he took a deep breathe and informed the people in the room that Hilda was alive and responding well. Agreeing with them all that this was good news he raised his voice a little and said ‘ok, somebody tell me what the fuck just happened’! They all jumped a little and Jonas felt bad but someone had better start explaining or he was gonna lose it. Greg was the one that answered his Alpha ‘we did as you said, we followed her trail and found her hiding in a cave in the forest just south of the Richdale wolf pack. She had be held as a prisoner and beaten pretty badly but had managed to escape, but being so close to death she only had the strength to send out one last locator spell and then cocoon herself. As no one can detect her in this form it took us both over a week to find her as the forests in that area are massive. Anyway, we found her, and managed to get her to the car. We started driving home when we realised we were being hunted by Alpha Silas’s pack. We didn’t get far when the car was overrun by some very angry wolves. Forcing us off road. The car crashed into a tree and I sustained a few cuts. Nothing major, then when it got dark they attacked again. Crystal was amazing and she can kick some serious butt. This helped us advance to just outside out territory which was when our luck ran out. There were over 20 wolves circling us, I knew I had to get Sara and the Mage safely onto our pack lands. I did this and was able to connect to Wyatt and a few of the others. Unfortunately as I was making my way back to the boundary they jumped me. Seeing this Sara shifted and Crystal went barrelling into them as if they were pins and she a bowling bowl. They started to overwhelm us both and I got bit which distracted crystal for a split second. That was when the wolf know as Jace caught her around the waist and sank his teeth in. Wyatt and the fighters he had brought with him jumped straight in to the fight and pretty soon all of silas’s wolves ran off. They helped us get to the pack house and the rest you know’. ‘Ok, thanks for that man, that could have waited till tomorrow after you had all rested. But I appreciate the effort. What I was referring to was the dead body of my mates Gamma coming back to life’? And everyone looked at Genni.
