At this there was uproar from the crowd they started yelling towards the moonstone and some even started throwing curse words at her. Jonas was livid and utterly ashamed of his pack but before he could do anything Genni raised her hand and everyone went silent. “I do not say this to you to be sacrilegious, I say this simply because it is the truth, I know that you will need proof and I am willing to show you so that you all know I am in earnest." While Genni spoke she stood within the security of her mate's embrace but Genni knew now the time had come for her to step forward, turning slightly in his arms so she could look at him now Genni lifted both his hands and kissed them lightly, then turning back toward the mass of angry wolves in front of her Genni stepped from the protection of Jonas's arms and Lifting her arms and turning her face toward the moon which was now clearly seen she asked that her mother become present. An eerie silence descended upon the whole clearing as a beam of brilliant white light fell next to Genni. The light had a shimmering quality like the full power of the moon with just a sprinkling of starlight. You could just make out a figure, it was like trying to make out someone standing behind frosted glass. Although they could not see her properly the aura the light gave off was so unmistakably powerful and benevolent that everyone within the clearing apart from Genni fell on their knees as they were now aware that the Goddess Selene was indeed among them. Not one of the people within that clearing felt worthy to be in such a presence and with awed expressions on each face they raised them to bare witness to a miracle. Addressing all who knelt within the clearing and with a voice that seem to carry the wind within it they heard their Goddess speak “My beloved children, there is an unrest upon our kind and it will mean the difference between survival or destruction of our species. Because of this, I have gifted you my daughter Genevieve. She has my very essence within her and I have given her to you so she may insure all of Your survival. My children, hear me now and accept my gift, many of you shall fall, but know this, I will welcome you into my realm without question or judgement and you shall be home”.
The silence in the clearing was palpable and thick with emotion. No one moved, no one spoke even the wind in the surrounding trees seemed to be in suspended animation.
Then the crowd, who were still kneeling started shouting out to Genni, the noise was almost deafening. People were crying, some were on their hands and knees. Some of the crowd had even shifted as the Goddess Selene spoke. They were howling now too. Jonas walked forward and held Genni in a tight embrace making sure the pack could still see her. Genni lent back against her mate and felt the usual tingles run up her spine, taking all the strength Jonas had to offer Genni stood there Allowing the members of her pack their excitement and awe of what they had all just witnessed, they all continued for a moment longer, Genni remained within Jonas’s arms and then she held up her hand and once again there was silence. You could still hear the occasional sob but no one spoke as they waited for Luna to speak.
“My brothers and My sisters, I stand here now in humble appreciation of your reverence and adoration. I will uphold My mother's wishes and with your support, we will face this enemy together and I vow to you all again My fealty to the Luna Shadow pack and to the Grand Alpha who is not only my fated mate but now has my essence running through his veins as he now bares my mark. He will be respected as my equal, my partner in this life and the next”. When Genni had finished speaking everyone knelt again in absolute reverence to the Demi-Gods that stood before them. As a whole they stood and laying their hands over their hearts they returned all fealty, freely given and absolute to the Alphas and each other. They vowed to stand with them to fight for them and if the Goddess saw fit, to die for them. Genni stepped away from Jonas but held onto his hand as she knelt and placed her hand over her heart she waited for Jonas to o the same then the two of them bowed their heads to their Pack. Still kneeling Genni kissed Jonas, she looked at her family, all of whom had tears running down their cheeks, she started to undress right there on the stone, and then her body started to shimmer, catching on Jonas did the same and when Sapphire and Jax stood before them the rest of the pack and I mean everyone that was able to shift did. Jax let out a deafening howl, Sapphire joined in as did the rest of the wolves. Jumping down from the moonstone Jax and Sapphire led their wolf pack on a run around the clearing, howling at the moon as they did. This went on for some time until Sapphire climb back onto the moonstone and shimmered back to Genni. Once again holding up her hand she calmed the wolves in front of her, standing there in front of them she no longer felt trepidation and insecurity at her nakedness, instead she felt strong. One by one the wolves lay down and lowered their large heads to the ground. Jax looked up at Genni and saw a faint glow surrounding her that seemed to come from within her and he too lowered his head at the vision before him.
When everything was calmer Rosemary brought Genni her dress and quickly stepping into it she thanked her “Mom I could kiss you, thank you. I had visions of walking back through the forest in my birthday suit” Someone laughed behind them and looking around Rosemary, Genni could see Lucas walking toward her. Pulling Lucas to them she introduced her brother to her Mother in law. “It’s so nice to finally meet the women who has shown nothing but love to my daughter” smiling up into her father's face as he joined them he bowed slightly to Rosemary and clasped her hands in his. Lucas was agreeing with his father when Jonas walked over to them and shook their hands in greeting. “So, what happens now?” Asked Genni. The clearing was starting to empty now and very soon the only people left were the Urbana family, Genni’s father and brother and Greg.
Looking to my father who nodded at Jonas and asked if everyone was ready we all returned to the moonstone. A little confused, Genni wasn’t sure what was happening but went along with it like everyone else. With Jonas standing on one side and Greg standing on the other Jonas started speaking. Daniel Brooks, Lucas Brooks and all of the Urbana family have made it known that they have rejected the Blue Diamond pack and asked permission to join the luna shadow pack, which I am Alpha of” Genni let out an audible gasp and tried to say something but her father had already started speaking. “ I Former Alpha Daniel Brooks of the Blue Diamond pack renounce my station and vow loyalty to the Luna shadow pack, I do this of my own free will and swear fealty to Alpha Jonas Quint and Luna Genevieve Quint”. Holding out his hand he readied himself for the golden knife that now sliced into his hand, Daniel held it over the moonstone and let his blood drip down upon it. Genni now had both her hands over her cheeks and watched incredulously as one by one her brother, Peter, Molly and Sara all did the same. When they had all finished spilling their blood on the moonstone Jonas spoke again.
“I Alpha Jonas Quint accept you all as part of the Luna shadow pack and welcome you, my brothers and sisters”. When Jonas finished the small joining ceremony Genni let out the yell of surprise she had been holding in, hopping from one foot to the other and shaking her hands as fast as she could she continued to yell and to no one's surprise Sara joined in. Laughing at the two young women embracing each other while still hopping up and down Daniel walked toward his daughter “Can I get in on this excitement” he said chuckling. Genni threw her arms around him and openly sobbed now saying over and over again “Why Dad, why?”.
“Let’s get back to the pack house and take this conversation up to our apartment, ok my love”? Nodding through her tears Genni hooked her arm through her fathers and her mates and as a group, they walked home.
