A few hours later saw Jonas and Genni dress and get ready for the meeting. Downstairs her father and brother were doing the same thing and talking about what was to come that night. “I know we have all made the right decision Dad” including the Urbana family in his statement. “Alpha Daniel shrugged on his jacket and with a resigned voice and agreed with his son. “I know what we are about to do is the right thing for all of us, I just hope I don’t lose my seat on the council. It would be an invaluable position to hold during discussions that will be held”. Agreeing with his father Lucas went to open the suite door, as someone had just knocked, it was the Urbana family and as his father’s Beta, Peter walked right in and went straight to his Alpha and asked if there was anything he could do. Holding his shoulder Alpha Daniel assured Peter that everything had been done and all that was left to do was attend the meeting. “Shall we’? Lucas gestured with his arm, with that Alpha Daniel, his son, Beta and his Beta’s mate and cub left the room and made their way downstairs where Wyatt was waiting for them to escort them to the clearing. Seeing Wyatt for the first time Sara gasped at the size of him and shrunk into her mother's side. Seeing this Wyatt bent down and told Sara that he was just a big puppy and to not fear him, Sara went bright red as Wyatt addressed her directly. Lucas shook the man's hand. They were similar in size and Lucas knew he had made a friend just by the way Wyatt had introduced himself. Sensing fear from a girl he had alleviated Sarah‘s fear play making Sarah laugh. Lucas liked that, that was something Lucas would do. “So, you're in the Warrior class? Peter asked, already knowing the answer by his sheer size of him. Yes, sir, I am. I am the best warrior we have at the moment within our pack but there are a lot of others just behind me in the ratings. “Ratings,” asked Lucas with a frown on his face. Wyatt explained that there were five classes of warriors. Those high enough to hold the top twenty spots were known as the first line, these were the wolves that would defend or fight. The next twenty are the second line, these warriors are mainly used in protection duty for the Grand Alpha and Grand Luna and as a backup to the first line. The next thirty are the third line or domestic line, these warriors police the pack members and have their hierarchy within the class. The next 30 warriors are part of the pack patrol Wolves. These wolves spend most of their time in shifted form as they patrol in and around the pack lands and borders. Lucas was extremely interested in everything that Wyatt had said “So how was it decided which Wolves had to be entered into the top one hundred and how is it decided which wolf gets placed where within the classes? Wyatt explained that it was usually down to performance, demeanour and aptitude. There was studying to complete and training to complete before you are decreed a warrior in any size shape or form. Once the wolf had entered into the top one hundred they are then subjected to different tests of strength and intelligence. The top one hundred was constantly changing within the lower classes as young up-and-coming wolves began to take over spots that are held by slightly older wolves as with everything the stronger will always present better than the weaker, this way the Grand Alpha is guaranteed to have the best of the best. “Do we wait for the Grand Alpha and Luna?” asked Molly. Shaking his head Wyatt told her the Grand Alphas will make their way there and that he was there to escort only them. “We should go now so if you would all be so kind as to follow me I will lead you to our scared clearing”. Murmuring amongst themselves they all followed Wyatt out. Both Molly and Sara were amazed by the colours that were in the sky, they had never seen such a beautiful sight. The clear blue of the afternoon sky was fading to a light blue now that had tones of pink and grey splashed across it. The few clouds that were in the sky made the colours shift and changed as they seemed to mix. By the time they all got to the scared clearing the sky had turned into a light purple colour with traces of darker purple and where the sky met the horizon all you could see was the purest pink colour. There were hundreds if not a thousand pack members all ambling around talking quietly to one another as they waited for the meeting to start. Wyatt lead the way through the crowd to the very front and stood next to them with his feet slightly apart and his hands behind his back, having nodded to someone in the crowd they were joined by a second huge wolf who mirrored Wyatt’s stance. Both men were on duty tonight and their duty was to stand guard over Luna’s family.
All at once the crowd quieted down as they saw Beta Greg stand up on the moonstone. After he had thanked them all for showing up he introduced the Alphas onto the stone. Not leaving the stone but standing back to give Jonas and Genni room they stood together and looked out over their pack. “Genevieve looks stunning, doesn’t she Molly” Peter said and both Molly and Sara agreed. Genni was wearing a long dress that had a split up the side to her thigh. It was an ice blue colour, and together with the white hair and Genni’s delicate features, she looked almost ethereal. Sara could hear some of the female pack members saying the same thing and Sara was relieved to her nothing but awe and respect in their tone as they looked at their Luna.
“Welcome to you all” said Jonas who had started to speak the moment the crowd became quiet. “I have called this meeting today for a few reasons. The first of which I will let your Luna explain” Holding Genni’s hand he gently propelled her forward so that she stood just in front of him, which allowed him to place his arm around her waist. Genni took a deep breath and started to speak in a strong clear voice. “As you all know by now my name is Genevieve and as the fated mate of your alpha, I am granted the position of Luna. I would like to assure every one of you of my Fealty to this pack as a whole but also my fealty to every one of you. This I vow. I know that there has been a lot of talk about me and I want to address this now. Some of you have asked questions about my parentage and some of you have asked questions about the legitimacy of that very thing” gasped of shock and uneasiness could be heard rippling through the crowd. “How do I know that I hear you all ask” Again the ripples fanned out over the crowd. “What I say to you now I say with complete honesty. And all I ask is that you hear me out fully before you make any judgements” Squaring her shoulders Genni stood as straight as she could go. She felt Jonas squeeze her gently and Genni found strength from it “As you all know I was raised in the Blue diamond pack as the daughter of the Alpha And Luna. When I turned eighteen some weeks ago I discovered that my parents were not who they said they were. I had been handed to Alpha Daniel of the Blue Diamond pack as a newborn and he was asked to raise me. Alpha Daniel was not told any more than this but still took me home and loved me as his daughter” As she said this she looked toward her father and bowed her head in his direction. “My Mother, my real mother is the moon, Goddess Selene”.
