CHAPTER TWENTY SIX

Chapter 26

Princess Yvonne's POV.

My head was hurting as I struggled to keep my wolf in control.

"Are you alright?" Felix asked with concern.

Even though I'm hurting I need to do this, "Felix, I Yvonne Carlos reject you, Felix Thomas, as my mate." I announced with a heavy heart.

Felix was heartbroken and shattered, "What! Why? I thought we love each other and you have accepted me as your mate, what change?" He asked with tears, glittering in his eyes.

I felt a pang in my chest as I saw the pain he was going through and how he was struggling to control his wolf because of the rejection but I kept a straight face," I'm sorry." I apologized softly and walked out on him.

I stepped into the building and went straight to my room, ignoring my mother's call.

I was in my room, lying on my bed with a heavy heart as I kept telling myself that I did the right by rejecting Felix.

I heard a knock on my door and refused to respond because I wanted to be left alone.

"My princess, are you there?" I heard my mother's voice from outside.

She continued banging on the door as I refused to answer, "my princess, please open the door, Alpha Nathan is here to see your father." she announced and I quickly broke out of my trance and got out of bed, rushed into the bathroom to sprinkle water on my face before applying makeup on my face and changing my outfit to a more comfortable one.

I dash out of my room to the living room where I saw Alpha Nathan discussing with my father.

I greeted him seductively and he only nodded without even glancing at me. I felt a painful tug in my chest as I hit the spot in pain.

The day of my wedding has finally arrived and we all gathered at Alpha Nathan's palace, waiting for him.

Hours passed and Alpha Nathan was nowhere to be found as I heard the wolves whispering to each other.

This got my heart racing in fear, "Did he decide not to proceed with this wedding? Is everything alright with him?" different thoughts run through my head.

"Alpha Nathan is here?" I heard the crowd whisper as they all stood up to greet him in respect.

I signed a sigh of relief when I saw him strolling toward me. He walked with confidence and grace with his cold and noble demeanor.

I smiled at him and he ignored me. He urged the chief priest to proceed with the ritual immediately. As soon as the priest pronounced us as mates, he left the place in a hurry and I ran after him.

I was shocked when he informed me that the maid would show me to my room. I stood in front of his door, contemplating on whether to ask the maid to show me to my room. I shook my head in disagreement as I knew it was a shame for I, Princess Yvonne to go and ask a common maid to show me to my room.

I swung the door open and I was shocked when I saw Alpha Nathan, staring and whispering at a lady's pictures. " Is she the reason why he asked me to have a separate room? Is he obsessed with her." different thoughts run through my head.

He sent me out of his room and I heard no other choice but to swallow my pride and asked the maid to show me to my room.

I stepped into my room and I was pleased with what I saw. The room was so big and spacious with a king-size bed. I loved the colors.

I woke up in the morning and went downstairs to the dining room to have my breakfast. I instructed the old woman to make me a warm tea and she ended up making me a hot tea.

I was furious as to why such a woman could not stick to simple instructions and I ended up slapping her hard across her face. I liked it when I saw her painful face.

She was the same woman who told me that Alpha Nathan was sleeping and wouldn't want to be disturbed, the first time I came here after the mate bonding ceremony. I have promised to make her life miserable and I intended to keep that.

I was happy when Alpha Nathan informed me of the council members meeting and also I can choose my maid.

I asked Mrs Susan to assemble all the maids and I was stunned when over ninety maids were assembled before me.

"So, there are many maids in this palace and he's asking me to choose only two?" I asked in surprise as I told myself to select seven different maids that would be serving me.

I selected seven maids and I instructed them on what to do.

I took them to my room and they helped me to get out of my clothes as I instructed them to give me a massage before they gave me a warm bath.

They help me to prepare for the council members meeting.

I stepped into the throne room with Alpha Nathan holding my hand. I was overjoyed when he told the elders that I'm a beautiful woman and his Luna.

I was still in a happy mood when he whispered into my ears that he wanted to go and attend to something.

I felt bored after waiting for him and I decided to mingle with people.

"Good day, Luna Yvonne. My name is Luna Fiona. Did you care to join us?"

"Oh, nice to meet you. I would love to join you." I replied happily.

Luna Fiona took me to the ladies' table, there were about six of them and they all introduced themselves as Luna of different packs. But, being that their pack is at the mercy of Oriens Moon Pack, they made me the head of Luna.

" Tell us, how did you both meet?" Luna, Fiona asked. Her questions caught me off guard as I just came up with some lies to feed them.

The slim one of them giggled and said, " We know Alpha Nathan must have handled you very well last night." All life as I nodded, and she continued, " I must have marked you without wasting time. Show is the mark." she asked and I froze on my sit, I couldn't tell them that he hadn't even touched me not to talk of leaving his mark on me.

" Don't be shy, go ahead, show us." They all waited for me to show them the mark, making me shiver.
