Chapter 23.

Catherine's POV

The lady gave the bag to Alpha Ransfort and she scanned me with her gaze as she whispered something to Alpha Ransfort and he nodded at her with a smile.

This left me in a daze as I couldn't hear or understand why they were both staring at me.

She stepped out of the office after a while and Alpha Ransfort asked me to come over to his seat.

My heart suddenly began to race as I paced slowly to his seat.

"Are you okay? Why is your face red?" He asked as he laughed out softly, revealing his white glittering teeth.

I place my two palms on my cheeks to feel it as I suddenly feel hot all over my body.

"Really! My face is red?"

"I was just kidding!" he revealed and laughed out loud. I was stunned. This is the first time he will ever laugh like this.

He held the bag out and motioned me to have it with his head, " Go ahead and have it. I ordered them for you." he said on seeing my hesitant face.

" For me?" I was surprised as I stretched my arms across his table to collect it from him.

I opened the bag and gasped in astonishment as I saw a beautiful white gown, designed with a golden stone with a golden shoe that matched it.

I snapped my head at him, as I felt emotion welling up within me, "It's beautiful." I complimented, softly.

I held up the gown, "When did you order it?" I asked curiously.

"I texted Anita the manager of my boutique to get something suitable for you since I noticed that your dress was stained with the juice." he revealed with a smile, "Now, go inside my changing room and change into it."

"changing room? Did you have a changing room in this office?!" I asked curiously as I couldn't see any other room aside from his restroom.

"That way." he pointed his index finger at a curtain that I assumed was covering a window.

I moved to open the curtain and I saw a huge door which I swung open.

I glanced back at him and he gave me a reassuring smile to go in. I stepped inside the room and I gasped in awe. The room was big with a giant king-size bed in the middle and a big mirror beside the bed.

"Did he use his office as his second home? Did he usually sleep here?" different thoughts run through me as I continue to feed my eyes with the room in amazement.

"Did you need any help?" I heard Alpha Ransfort's voice.

"No, I can manage," I responded as I briskly began to remove my clothes.

I was gazing at my reflection in the huge mirror when I saw Alpha Ransfort step in making my heart skip a beat.

He gazed at me with desire as he scanned my outfit from my head to my toes, stepping towards me, "You look stunning, Catherine." he said as he moved to remove a strand of my hair from my face.

His movement made my heart race as I felt a butterfly dancing in my stomach, "Thank you, you Highness. I appreciate it."

"You are welcome." he bent and whispered sweetly to my ears, making my body shivered, and my heart racing as I felt his hot breath on my skin.

I sighed a sigh of relief when he pulled back and gazed at me with his hand resting in his pocket.

"Shall we?"

"Huh!" I asked as I broke from my daze.

He levitates his brow, "Shall go home, it's closing hour already."

"Umm.. Sure, let's go." I replied as I folded my office clothes and placed them inside the empty bag of the gown and we exited the room.

I took an excuse from him and went to my office to quickly wrap up my work before leaving the office building with Alpha Ransfort.

I sighted Lina's car in the garage as the car drove into the palace.

"Lina is here?" Alpha Ransfort, asked.

"I think so," I replied before stepping out of the car.

I stepped into the living room and saw Lina holding a handbag and was about to leave.

"You guys are here? You know I was about to leave as I have been waiting for you guys for a long time," she revealed as she placed her handbag on the table and collected the bag I was holding.

She gazed at me in astonishment, "Wow! You look absolutely gorgeous. I love this dress, where did you get it?" she asked as she walked around me in a circle, admiring the dress.

"Alpha Ransfort got them for me." I blushed as I remembered how he made me feel in the dressing room.

Lina cast a suspicious gaze at me, "Why did you blush."

"What! Me! .. blush .. No, I didn't."

"You did."

"No, I don't." I restored as we both busted out laughing.

She informed me that she would be coming to spend some time with me since tomorrow is the weekend.

"That's very thoughtful of you." I appreciate it.

"I want to go and see Alpha Ransfort before I leave. Take care of yourself and our baby okay," she said as she rubbed my belly before exiting the living room.

Susan, the maid that Alpha Ransfort assigned to me, stepped into the living room from the balcony, greeted me respectfully, and helped me with my bag to my room.

" Ma'am, should I set your food now?" Susan asked.

Sitting down on the chair in my room, I turned and nodded my head at her, "No, I have eaten something at the office before coming." I informed her and she left after fixing my bathing water for me.

I put on my nightgown after freshening up and lay on my bed as I decided to sleep early.

"Please! Don't take me to the dungeon! Let me go! Nooo!!!!" I screamed out as I saw myself falling inside a shallow pit.
