Chapter 50 THIS TIME, I DECIDED WHO SUFFERS
Celestia's POV
I should have already seen it coming from a mile away that Raphael would try to wiggle Medea out of this, but I had hoped that at least he would try to be smart about it. From the looks of things apparently, he was still underestimating me.
But that was not a problem that couldn't be fixed.
"I want her here," I said without mincing my words, "it's only right that she apologizes to me for what she did, right?" I looked to Lucian for support and he gave a simple but direct nod before I continued.
"How will I know that she truly regrets her actions until I see her myself personally apologizing for it? Bring her here."
Every time I spoke I saw Raphael's face lose a little bit of color and his lips curl downwards more.
He probably never thought that the woman he described like yesterday's trash would ever be able to speak to him in this manner and raise her voice making sure that he listened and he could not even talk back to me without feeling a fear for his life he adjusted his caller trying to be more comfortable between us glaring at him.
"She went out this morning," came his flimsy excuse."I'm not really sure when she would be right now and-"
"Then have your warriors go looking for her, if she didn't disappear into thin air then they should be able to find her. Your men seem to have a talent for looking for people after all," Lucian said, a smile I couldn't control tugged at my lips and somehow Raphael's face was even more appealing.
To his credit he handled it better than I thought, except if he had gotten up any faster than he did with just a little bit more Force he would have sent the chair he was sitting on across the room he looked at Lucian and told him that he had to go and speak to his warriors directly even though there was no problem between sitting here and mind linking them instead he left and I lean towards Lucian.
"I didn't know that you had any personal beef with Raphael before this," I admitted to him in a light whisper.
He came closer, hopefully flooding me with his scent, then he responded.
"I didn't,"
My smile shrank but not for the reason that one would think I relaxed back into my chair and my mind was filled with his response.
While the things that he did to me grew and were horrible, that did not make Lucian obligated to care or share my anger against him.
What we had was an arrangement, he didn't have to go that far.
But he did, for me.
Raphael returned to his seat dragging his steps until he arrived.
"I sent my guards out to look for her, she should be back soon." He announced a little too loudly, spreading himself on his chair trying to create a dominant air and failing miserably at it.
As we waited I caught him taking and stealing glances at me.
I'm sure he had about a billion questions running around that twisted head of his, wondering how I was sitting across from him now so casually.
About 15 minutes later Medea came bursting through the door. There were two guards behind her probably trying to caution her. She saw the rift in her eyes immediately, her hatred smoldering hot.
I smiled pleasantly in response.
"Medeawe have been waiting for you, was there traffic?"
She responded to my pleasantness with a floored expression. One would think that in the past years, she would have developed some tact but I guess her talents began and ended in the bedroom.
"Medeawhy don't you sit?" Raphael said to her probably wanting this over and done with already.
The media's eyes scanned through his office, there were no other chairs available and she really had all the audacity to look at me, as if I was supposed to rise from my own chair.
Just like Raphael she will need to understand that we are not on the same level anymore, not even close.
"What's wrong? Sit..."
She looked flustered and annoyed, a pitiful combination but I was not having any empathy to spare for her.
"There's no way for me to sit," she said, Raphael tried to help her out I could see he was making an attempt to signal one of the guards to bring her a chair but I went ahead anyway her comfort was of no interest to me, in fact I preferred it like this.
"Well before they can get something for you to sit you can begin your apology now about what you did yesterday..."
She started to grind her teeth together then snapped her head to Raphael probably hoping he would save her once more.
Raphael dipped his head down and her eyes went wide realizing that there was nothing he could do for her here.
"I'm sure you wouldn't want my mate to repeat herself," Lucian said, his voice razor sharp and his gaze zeroed in on the Media.
"Apologize before this has to become a bigger issue."
She looked utterly humiliated, her eyes bouncing off from one person to the other even going to her guards, but soon it began to really sink in on her that nobody was swooping in to take her out of the hole that she had thrown herself into.
"I...." She began and she was really taking her sweet time with it, droplets of sweat beginning to form on her forehead, "I..." The more she spoke, the more agitated she looked and I wasn't pushing her. I wanted her to really simmer in this humiliation for as long as possible. She was going to have many more moments like this and I was going to enjoy every second of them.
"Well?" I threw it at her tauntingly.
What happened next was something I was not expecting, her eyes suddenly closed up and she slumped to the ground.
