Chapter 67 Where Are They?
Creed’s pov.
“What are you?” I ask Ethan as I slam him into the ground.
He wheezes as the breath is knocked out of his lungs, “dragon… werewolf…” he gasps out, struggling to get to his feet.
“Enough, get out of the ring,” I say, shaking my head in disappointment.
Walking towards Ryan he had a knowing look on his face, “that looked like fun,” he chuckled, “who are you choosing next?”
“You,” I say with a smirk, turning around and going back into the ring.
Ryan’s smile falters but he doesn’t say anything and climbs into the ring as well.
“Now this will be a real fight,” I say with a smirk, never taking my eyes off of Ryan.
Ryan gets in his fighting stance, circling me. We never take our eyes off of each other, waiting for the other to make a move.
Getting tired of Ryan’s games, I made the first move. Knowing he’ll wait forever until I do.
He smirks at me as if he knows what I’m about to do, but I surprise him by faking a right hook and sending my knee flying at his stomach instead.
My knee slams into his stomach knocking the air out of his lungs, taking that chance I throw a punch directly at his face.
Ryan moves out of the way just in time and gains his footing, throwing fast jabs at my stomach.
I allow him to make contact, absorbing the punches so I can kick his feet out, knocking him to the ground.
I get on top of him and start landing punch after punch to his face, making sure I don’t use all of my strength.
Before I can get anymore in, Ryan grabs my head with his legs and throws me off of him, making my head hit the ground hard.
I grunt from the impact but get up right away, giving Ryan a death glare.
That was cheap, we learned that move together, I should’ve known he’d do that.
Without warning I start running towards Ryan, sending a powerful punch to his stomach, he takes the punch and delivers his own punch to my face.
Grunting I spin my body and grab onto Ryan, taking him down with me.
I put him in a chokehold, holding on as tightly as I can, ensuring he can’t get out.
Ryan struggles trying to get me to let go, but I don’t. Eventually Ryan taps my arm before he passes out and I let go, letting him slump onto the ground gasping for air.
“You see?” I say, looking around at all the surprised warriors, “that was a real fight. I expect all of you to be able to fight like that.”
Mumbled gasps and whispers ripple around the crowd, “how do you expect us to be as good as you guys?” A warrior named Manki asks.
“With hard work and dedication you will get there, all of you,” I say determined, looking around and seeing the rest of the tribe showing up.
“We're making a new training schedule. Monday mornings at seven sharp you’ll all be here to train, elite warriors will start at six. Wednesday mornings you’ll all be here at exactly seven thirty, no later. Fridays the elite warriors will train first at six while the rest for you watch before joining in. I have a good feeling about this, you’ll all become excellent fighters,” I say with a proud smile at all of the tribe members who made themselves available to learn how to fight, to protect themselves and our tribe.
“Okay!” Ryan booms out, “let’s separate you all into groups, half of elite warriors with half of the rest of the tribe!”
After Ryan spoke everyone separated themselves into two groups, Ryan took one while I took the other.
“Okay guys,” I start to say, “I’m excited to work with you all, I can see the potential you all have. With time and work we will make you some of the best fighters.”
After what felt like forever I heave another heavy sigh, the elite warriors are good but they aren’t great. And the other tribe members are absolutely horrible, not one shifter knew what they were doing.
They couldn’t land one bit to me or the warriors, and when they fought each other it was like watching children fight.
“Enough!” I yell out, “everyone, take a break.”
I hear sighs and groans of relief, everyone flops onto the ground, gasping for air.
I walk over to Ryan with a displeased frown on my face, “is your group doing any better than mine?” I ask with a grumble.
Ryan winces and shakes his head, “definitely not, they don’t even know what they are doing, and our warriors? I don’t know how they’ve gotten so bad. We selected them all ourselves. Jason was supposed to be training them.”
“Speaking of Jason…” I mumble, “where is he?”
“I don’t know, I haven’t seen him in awhile now that I’m thinking about it,” Ryan says.
“The last time I saw him he came to my office and declared he’d do anything in his power to help Lily and I. He didn’t even say anything about his mate, Midnight, he didn’t say anything else. I don’t even know what’s going on with them,” I say, thinking about where he could be.
‘Jason?’ I whispered down our link, but all I got back was silence.
“He’s not even in the tribe… all I hear down our link is silence,” I say confused, he would’ve told me if he was leaving the tribe.
“He usually would’ve said something, do you think he’s in danger?” Ryan asks, running a hand through his hair.
‘He’s not in danger,’ Hunter whispers into my mind.
“Hunter doesn’t think so,” I say, shaking my head.
Suddenly Ryan’s eyes widen and his jaw drops open, “where the hell are Raya and Lily! We haven’t spoken to them all day!” He says frantically, running towards his phone.
Fuck! He’s right. We haven’t spoken to them all day and they should be home by now.
“Where are you Lily?” I whisper to myself.
