Chapter 32 THE SEVENTH MOLTING : DRAGON SOUL

Chapter 32 THE SEVENTH MOLTING : DRAGON SOUL
They tried to take my soul in the Academy," Kaelen’s voice didn't just echo; it vibrated through the very fabric of the dark dimension. "Now, I’ll show them what a real soul looks like."

The High Priest, or the shattered ruin that remained of him, scrambled backward through the viscous air of the deeper Abyss. His shadow-teeth were gone, his jaw a jagged mess of leaking void. "You are a monster! No human... no dragon... can survive this depth! The pressure alone should have turned your marrow to glass!"

"I'm not surviving it, Priest," Kaelen said, his platinum-violet scales beginning to hum with a frequency that cracked the surrounding obsidian pillars. "I'm owning it."

The atmosphere in the deep rift changed. It wasn't just dark anymore; it was heavy, a physical weight that pressed against Kaelen’s chest, trying to crush the life out of his lungs. The deeper he stepped into the rift, the more his human limitations began to scream. His pulse was too slow for this pressure. His skin, even as a hybrid, was beginning to hairline fracture.

"You're dying!" the Priest laughed through the blood and shadow. "The Abyss is the graveyard of gods! You think a scrapper can walk where the creators fell?"

\[Warning: Human Baseline Detected as Primary Failure Point.\]
\[Requirement: Shed the Limitation. Commencing Seventh Molting.\]

"Is that the best you've got?" Kaelen roared, his voice tearing through the Void. "If my humanity is the anchor, then I’ll cut the rope!"

\[Seventh Molting: Soul-Forge Resonance—Activated.\]

The explosion wasn't sound; it was light. Kaelen’s physical body didn't break—it expanded. The platinum scales didn't shatter; they became translucent, revealing a core of burning, celestial energy. His iron-edged wings dissolved into streamers of golden fire that stretched for miles into the darkness.

"What is this?" the Priest shrieked, shielding his eyes as the dark dimension was suddenly illuminated with the brilliance of a thousand suns. "This isn't evolution! This is... this is creation!"

Kaelen’s astral form surged. He grew. Ten feet. Fifty feet. A hundred. Within seconds, he stood as a literal colossus of golden energy, his feet planted on the floor of the Abyss and his head piercing the upper strata of the rift.

"You called me mana-dead," the Colossus of Kaelen spoke, his voice the sound of tectonic plates grinding. "But the dead don't burn this bright."

"The System..." the Priest whispered, staring up at the titanic golden figure. "It’s malfunctioning! It’s giving you too much! No machine can process this much data!"

Kaelen looked down, his eyes like twin galaxies. He could see the code now. He could see the blue screens and the text, but they were no longer digital. They were threads of light, woven into the very atoms of his being.

"It’s not a machine, you fool," Kaelen said, his hand reaching out to pluck a floating string of data from the air. As he touched it, he didn't see numbers. He saw a face. An ancient man with wings like Kaelen’s, fighting a war at the beginning of time.

"Master?" Thorne’s voice crackled through the resonance, sounding like a tiny insect. "What's happening? The capital is glowing gold! We can see you from the surface!"

"Thorne, I see them," Kaelen whispered, his voice vibrating through the guild leader’s soul. "The System... it’s not an AI. It’s not a game. It’s the recorded memories of my ancestors. Every Aurelian who ever lived, every dragon who ever fell... they were waiting. Waiting for someone to survive the 'Pit' long enough to inherit the bill."

"The bill?" Thorne asked.

"The debt the gods haven't paid," Kaelen replied.

He turned his colossal gaze toward the very center of the Abyss, the point where all gravity and shadow originated. The High Priest was gone, evaporated by the sheer heat of Kaelen’s soul-forge, but something else lay ahead. Something that made the High Priest look like a stray dog.

Kaelen stepped forward, his golden feet vaporizing the shadow-beasts that tried to cling to his shins. He reached the absolute center, the "Singularity of the Void."

He stopped.

"By the stars..." Kaelen’s golden form flickered with shock.

There, suspended in the center of a cage made of "Holy Light"—the same light the Church worshiped—was a titan. It was a dragon of such scale that its wings could have wrapped around the world. Its scales were once the same platinum-gold as Kaelen’s, but they were now dull, grey, and weeping a constant stream of mana.

Heavy, silver chains etched with "Deity Runes" pierced the titan’s heart, throat, and wings. Above the titan, three pillars of blinding white light—the "Light" deities—were slowly siphoning the titan’s essence, feeding it into the "System" the Church used to bless their 'Holy' mages.

"The Original Dragon God," Kaelen whispered, his colossal hand trembling as he reached toward the cage. "The source of the blood."

The chained titan slowly raised its head. Its eyes were empty sockets, but it turned its face toward Kaelen.

"So... the scrapper... finally... arrived..." the titan’s voice echoed directly into Kaelen’s soul, a sound of unimaginable pain and ancient weariness.

"They told us you were the enemy," Kaelen said, his golden fire flaring with a sudden, murderous rage. "They told us the 'Darkness' had to be sealed."

"They... needed... a battery..." the titan wheezed. "The 'Light'... is just... a hungry... sun... Kaelen... Aurelian..."

Kaelen looked up at the three pillars of light. He saw the "Gods" of the Academy. He saw the source of the magic that had called him "worthless." It was stolen. It was all stolen.

"Master!" Jax’s voice screamed through the gem. "The rift is collapsing! The Church is firing the 'Grand Purge' spell from the surface! They're trying to seal the hole with you in it!"

Kaelen didn't look back at the surface. He looked at the chains on the Dragon God’s heart. He looked at the "Light" that was eating the history of his people.

"Thorne, Jax... tell the army to brace," Kaelen said, his golden form shrinking back down, concentrating all that colossal energy into a single, needle-sharp point of absolute fury.

"Master, what are you doing?"

Kaelen drew the \[Holy Light Sword\], but instead of using it, he crushed the blade in his bare hand, letting the "Holy" magic dissolve into the void.

"I’m not erasing the duality," Kaelen said, his platinum scales turning a violent, incandescent red. "I’m executing the 'Light'."

Suddenly, the three pillars of light above the dragon began to flicker. The chains groaned. The "Original Dragon God" let out a roar that was no longer a plea, but a war cry.

The suspense in the Abyss became so thick it felt like liquid lead. Kaelen stood before the gods of the world, his wings snapping open with a sound that signaled the end of the universe's current management.

"Wait for me," Kaelen whispered one last time, but this time, it wasn't for the world. It was for the gods. "I'm coming for the crown."

The chains snapped. The Abyss exploded. And the true face-slap of the century began.
