Chapter 24 Seize him
Valerie pov :
When I left the room ,I ran straight to my chamber , His presence was something I couldn't stand I had to hold my breath until I entered my chambers ,I cried all through the night because I was really scared for Eric ,I had to do something, I don't know what it was but I really had to get in contact with him .
The next day I woke up very early and got dressed ,I was waiting patiently for the maids to come in so i could send one of them on an errand .
Just then the door was opened and two of the maids walked in .
" My lady it's time to have a bath "
I turned towards the maids standing at a corner .
" Am not ready to take my bath yet please can one of you get me a glass of water "
" Yes my lady "
Immediately one of them left the room, I turned to the other maid who was trying to get my clothes ready .
" There wouldn't be any need for that, I already had my bath "
" Am sorry my lady we came late "
" No you don't have to be sorry , What's your name "
" Susan my lady "
" Good Susan, I need you to do something important for me "

I quickly got up picked up a pen and plain sheet of paper then wrote down a letter Eric .
Dear Eric .
I got your letter but am afraid you can't do anything to save me at this moment , Please I would like you to leave Atlantis for now because I don't know what the king will do if he finds you. Please just know that I love you no matter what happens .

I Quickly wrapped the letter and gave it to her .
" Please I want you to give this letter to my sister tell her to give it to Eric "
" My lady, What you are asking me to do is too much , What if I get caught in the process "
" Please I really need your help someone who loves me is in danger "

She took the letter from me, And left the room just then the other maid walked in .
" My lady here is the water you asked for "
" Thank you please put it down on the table "

She picked up the stuff she came in with and left the room , I was so happy I prayed in my heart that the letter get to Eric .
Few hours passed but I don't get a reply ,I kept walking to and fro just then I heard a knock on the door ,I quickly rushed to see who it was but i was shocked to see sir Samuel standing In front of me .
" Good day my lady, The king request your presence at the court room"
Immediately he said does words , My heart started beating faster ,I really don't know why I was scared but something Is not right .
" Okay I will be there shortly "
He bow his head and walked out of my room ,I was confused why would the king want to see me in the court room ,I stepped out of room still wondering what's going on just then I heard a familiar voice calling out to me .
" Hey Valerie , Val "
I turned to see who it was ,I was shocked to see Eric standing at a corner .
" Eric what are you doing here "
" I came to see you "
" See me didn't you get the letter I sent to you "
" Letter , What letter ? I didn't get any letter I came here to see you because the king sent words to my master telling him he want to have a feast in the palace and he wants us to make some supplies "
oyh No this is not good I knew something is wrong somewhere ,I held Eric hands .
" Eric you have to leave here as soon as suppose, Please don't say No your life is in danger "
" No val, Am not leaving here without you ,that's a promise ,I will have to speak to the king I know you were held here against your own freewill please Valerie dont be scared I will get you out of here ".
" Listen to me Eric it seems you don't know who you are dealing with , Just go please I don't want you to get hurt please just go "

Oh my God can someone please talk some senses into this man's head ,his treading on a dangerous part .I was still trying to persuade him when sir Samuel walked in on us for a minute my heart stopped beating .
" I believe you are Mr Eric "
" Yes "
" The meeting has started and I know you wouldn't like to keep the king waiting "
My heart was ready to Jump out of my chest at any moment, I couldn't breath I tried to stop him but I think all my plans was abortive just then sir Samuel turned to me .
" Lady Valerie the king has asked me to fetch you myself since it's taking years for you to get to the court room ,but don't worry I wouldn't say a word to the king about what I saw here today "
I took a deep breath and trailed behind him , When we entered the court room the place became quite , But all this while I had my eyes glued to the ground . Just then the king broke the slience in the room.
" Lady Valerie it's good to have you here in court room "
I raised my head to look at him , But he was busy taking a sip from his glass of wine ,He sat on his throne in a lazy manner .I quickly adverted my eyes away from him .
I was still busy praying in my heart for Eric when his attention was diverted to him .
" I believe your master is lucky enough to have you work with him "
" Yes my Lord "
" Tell me more ..Mr Eric "
" My Lord I don't think there is anything to talk about but since you asked my Lord I would like to request you let my woman go "
Immediately those words left his mouth , The room was filled with murmuring .
" Woman !! Tell me Mr Eric who is this woman "

" Oops Valerie , You know it sounds more better when you don't speak about the king's bride to be in such manner "

He turned towards my direction , His eyes where on me , It looks at if he wanted to Rip out my soul at any second "
I stood still on a spot not wanting to create more problems for myself ,I was trying to safe Eric's life but he just want to be an idiot I knew this was the trap the king created for him , How could I have been this stupid .I was speechless when he repeated the same question again .
" Lady Valerie I asked you a question "

" Ahh I see so tell me Mr Eric why would you say she was held here against her will "
" My Lord I received a letter saying Valerie was held here against her will "

He turned to me again .
" Tell me val did you send a letter to Mr Eric telling him you where held against your will "
I became confused I never sent any letter to Eric except for the one I sent through the maid .

Eric was shocked by my statement infact he felt like fool in the presence of the king .
" You Mr Eric , Accusing the king of holding a woman against her own freewill can be considered as treason I hope you know that "

I was still trying to process everything that just happened when I heard him say to the guards .
" Seize him and lock him up in the deepest part of the dungeon"
