Chapter 23 Fear
Valerie pov .
When Samuel told me, They bought a letter for me ,I was shocked at first because I wasn't expecting any letter from anybody but when the letter was read out ,I felt my head spinning ,I was about to speak when Edward stood up and walked out of the room without saying a word .I tried to pick up my fork to eat but then a little hand poke me .
When looked down at the person who poked me I was surprised to see a handsome little boy smiling at me , But something about him was different he had the same face as Edward , At first I thought he was his son but then it was just my imagination.
" Aunty do you know how to say sorry "
" What "
I was shocked by his words .
" I really don't know what to say but you really need to start saying sorry a million times because you see that man that just walked out of the dinning room his not happy "
" I didn't do anything wrong "
" The problem is not what you did wrong aunty, But the main problem is what you have done wrong , First you kept us waiting at the dinning room and now uncle Samuel had to read out the love letter someone sent to you that's bad "
" huh ?"
I was speechless by his words, How can a little boy speak like an adult, I was lost in thought. Then he spoke again .
" Aunty you see that smile uncle had on his face when leaving here ,He always has that smile on when he wants to kill someone or do something terrible "
Immediately he said those words, I became scared not for myself but for Eric , My hands began to tremble, I couldn't eat anyone ,I was confused Just then the Queen hazel spoke up .
" How shameless can you be ,I always knew you where not fit for the crown if only Edward will just listen to me and stop being a dk all this wouldn't be happening "
I was not happy , With the way this lady was speaking to me, First of all I never wanted any of this so what's her problem . She pick up the glass of wine in front of her and was about to take a sip from it when I spoke up .
" Am sorry My Queen, But I was never interested in becoming the Queen of Atlantis , Am been held here against my own freewill so please talk to your son to let me go , Infact I will be happy if he lets me leave here in peace ,I don't want this kind of life for myself and am happy with my man "
" Hmm So much guts , You have my guts to talk back at Your queen without being scared of the outcome "
" What could be more worst than holding someone against her will, I never loved your son and I wouldn't love him even if he gives me the whole of Atlantis I wouldn't love him ,I just want to go back home that's all "
" I can see you have a sharp mouth , Talking back at the queen you could be in prison for that , You are suppose to bow your head while talking to me ,low life commoners like you are not suppose to talk back at me "
" I Maybe a low life but I still have my dignity and pride intact, Tell your son to let me go that's all I ask "
" We where still talking when sir Samuel walked into the room .
" Lady Valerie the king will like to see you in private "
At first I was nervous, But I had to summon courage so as not to look weak on the outside , I stood up to leave I could see the queens eyes staring digger at me .
We walked through the hall way finally we arrived at a room , The room was separate from the other rooms in the castle ,I couldn't see anyone going out or coming Into that area ,Sir Samuel knocked twice on the door and it was opened from the inside , The maid who opened the door immediately left the place without looking up or saying a word . Immediately I entered the room, The door was locked automatically making me to almost jump out of my skin . The room was dark ,I couldn't see anything just then I hear the king's voice .
" Come here "
" Huh... How am I suppose to walk when am not seeing anything "
Just then the curtains was opened and i could see him seating on a chair at the corner of the room in his full glory ,his eyes was closed .
" So your lover decided to test his fate, By sending a letter to the castle "
" I have no idea that he was sending a letter to me believe me "
" Tell me why should I believe you when you have given me every reason to doubt you "
" My Lord ,I never knew he would send a letter to the castle like I said before am totally unaware of that letter "
" I see "
" So you are trying to say, Someone sent the letter in his palace "
" I don't know "
" I warned you about your lover , And made it clear that I wouldn't be sharing you with someone else right "
" Yes you did warned me , But you should know that am not yours to keep "
" Oh believe me lady Valerie you are mine to keep , And trust me I don't go back on my words"
" Let me go , Am tired of this place "

He took few steps close to me and I took few steps backwards we continued like that until my back touched the cold wall ,I let out a shivering sign ,He placed his two hands on the wall trapping me in-between .
" Tell me val what's going to be your punishment "
Immediately he whispered does words into my ears ,I felt a rush of cold running down my spine .I quickly used my hands to cover my chest .
" Please am sorry , Am not ready for anything now "
" Haha who says I want to do anything to you , Am talking about your little lover , You have to choose his punishment , Should he stoned to dead or hanged to death ,or killed by my own hands "
" No please don't touch him do what ever you want with me , But please let him go "
" It's a shame to see you love someone so much but the question does he love you that much "

" Really am not going to do anything to you but I promise him deathThat I can say, I really don't know how it's going to happen but I know his going to fall right into my trap when the time comes "

I wanted to speak, But he dismissed me before I could say a word .he still had that smile on his face that always get me worry . At this point I really don't know what he had in mind I quickly ran out of the room without saying a word.
