It was very late when I feel a movement inside the room, I know it was him. My husband came, at last, I waited, however, I fell asleep and I could not remember at what time. His footsteps are slow and calculated, he doesn't want to wake me up. When he reach the bathroom door and went inside, I got up from the bed and turn on the lights.

I wanted to know what happened, his mind link told me that the Luna of the North has given birth. He sounded excited and it made me want to come however he insisted that we come together tomorrow and I understand since they said there were complications and she almost lost too much blood.

A few minutes passed until the bathroom door opened and he came out wearing just a small towel covering his waist down to his thighs. The droplets of water are visible on his chest and arms, making my throat go dry just by looking at him. My husband the Alpha King possesses the sexiest body of a man alive.

"I thought you were sleeping sweetheart, I'm sorry. Did I wake you up?"

His full manly voice made my aching heart well. I shake my head and meet his gaze as he slowly took steps to get near me. He stop a few inches in my front as I sat on top of the bed.

"No, I was awake since you get in. I guess it is difficult not to notice your presence. You must be tired."

His lips curved in a tiny smile as his eyes traveled from the hemline of my silky nightgown in the middle of my thighs and the neckline which showed a little cleavage and the fabric that shows my erect nipples.

"I am not too tired if that is what you mean."

He sounded amused by what he sees. I became aware of the fresh scent he emits when he sat down beside me. His arms pulled me closer in a tight embrace before his lips pressed gently on top of my forehead.

"Oh, how I miss you, my love. I wanted you to be with me at all times but I never like it when your life is exposed to danger."

I close my eyes and enjoy the feeling of his body next to mine. The cool touch of his skin and his warm breath fanning my face, made all my sleepiness go away.

"We are inside the Palace love, I believe there is no other place safer for us than here."

I meet his eyes and saw the fire igniting deep down in him. "Yes, however, I want to also keep you away from the stress and exhaustion that my rule as the Alpha King exhibits."

I shake my head in disagreement. "No, I am your Luna and I should share whatever responsibility you have in this Palace. I wanted to help you, and be useful to the pack as well. If I just stay here then it would make me feel worthless."

"Oh my goodness! Love, don't you ever think of the word worthless. It does not belong to you. Your rule in this palace is the most important in the entire Kingdom, you are my life. Everything will be meaningless without you, keep that in mind."

His lips lowered and possess mine in a punishing kiss. The heat begins to travel from the base of my neck down to my stomach. It took a few seconds before he let go.

"I want to come with you tomorrow. The baby of Luna Jasmin and Alpha Zero must look so beautiful, I wanted to see her."

His eyes lit up like a candle in the middle of a dark room and a smile covered his lips. "Of course, you can see her tomorrow and we must see Carmela too. Everything is going well sweetheart, and I am so glad it is."

His statement made me return the smile on his face. "Yes, thanks to you my love. You did not fail to do your job well, you are going to be great one day. You just started and the first challenge you face is already resolved quickly. Your father must be very proud of you."

He cups my face in the middle of his two palms and he lowered his lips beside my ear in a whisper.

"It's because I am inspired to do well because of you sweetheart. And stop melting my heart with your kind words, my head will get bigger one day."

I let out a soft laugh and kiss his cheek. The night is short for our endless lovemaking. I never thought that love could give us sleepless nights and create a bond stronger each time that we spent together. His body lying close to me become a routine that I don't think I would be able to get some sleep without him.

Our bond as mates became stronger and we have understand each other's feelings more. I could not keep a secret from him and the same goes for him too. The night was over and as the daybreak came, a new breath of life begins.



"Oh my God! She looks so cute!"

The cheerfulness in my voice echoes inside the big room where the baby's crib is placed. My eyes are glued on the baby which is having her breakfast in a feeding bottle that one of the female Palace doctors holds.

"Yes your majesty, she is so perfect. The Alpha and Luna of the North are being blessed by the Moon Goddess by a very beautiful firstborn daughter."

I am alone in the room with the doctor and the baby. Luna Jasmin is in the connected room with Alpha Zero, she is awake however she's still weak from the delivery. She has to recover from the blood loss too, even after the donation that Alpha Xander did.

"Oh! How I wish we could have a daughter too, one day."

I failed to hold what has been going around in my mind.

"You will have soon your majesty, the Alpha King Vincent will have an heir soon. You will have beautiful pups that will fill the Palace with love and laughter."

The idea made my heart beat fast, it made me excited that I wonder how it feels like to have another life inside your body. My eyes admiring the beautiful creature before me, I will be the happiest woman in the world to conceive a beautiful child. It doesn't matter if a son or a daughter.

"Good day your majesty! Sorry to barge in like this but I must see the heir of the Cold Mountain pack!"

A loud female voice made me look behind and be greeted by a sight of a tall woman with long grey hair. She looks so bright and happy that the smile on her face is contagious making me smile at her too. I can't seem to tell her age as the beauty she possess is somewhat majestic and not common.

"I apologize, my name is Ayah. The Alpha of the North is my nephew."

I recognize her name and somehow remember someone familiar. I must have seen her when I was human but now it is too blurry to remember it.

"Welcome, Ayah! Here you can have a look at how beautiful she is."

Her slim figure and long hair will leave me guessing her age. She must not be that old, feeling her lively presence and energy. "Thank you, Princess Ashley."

The baby finish her milk and she immediately took her out of the crib, carrying her in a safe position. Leaving the pack doctor alone beside an empty crib.

"Oh, the good things I could teach you sweet young heir of the North. I never would guess that you will come out early."

I nodded my head and added something based on what I have learned. "Yes, but all of us are glad that she came out healthy."

Ayah, stiffined and give the baby to me. "Oh please hold her, I almost forgot that Luna Jasmin was on the edge of danger upon her delivery. I must see her!"

My brows furrowed, and I watch her leave as I held the baby softly in my hand. She is so delicate that my heart wished for someone like her.
