My father hug her tight as she opens her eyes and look around her. The room is filled with flowers from the garden as my father brought for her every day. She looks fine and her strength has come back, I can feel the amount of energy she has replenished from her bed rest which is guided by the wizard of the pack.

"We are so happy that you have finally woken up Carmela my love, our son is here together with Ashley. Maleficus and your father are also here to support your recovery. My love, I swear to you that nothing of this sort will ever happen again, you will not leave my side starting today. And those vile wolves will suffer paying for their crimes in the dungeons of the palace."

My father is determined and Beta Derek personally visits the prisoners every day to make sure that they could not escape. I hold Ashley's hand as she smiled and watches my father and Carmela. We are standing beside her bed.

"Oh, thank you, love. But I hope in time we can forgive and forget, we must also learn the reason why those wolves display such behavior. I am happy to have given another life."

Her statement amazes me however if those wolves have hurt Ashley, they will not live to see another day. Not even the dungeons are enough as punishment for them!

My father releases her and cleared his throat, he wanted to tell her about the recent coronation that he is no longer the Alpha King. However, he couldn't just say it without mentioning his reasons and Carmela might blame herself and what happened to his decision so I opened my mouth and interrupted.

"I am grateful that you are finally out of danger Carmela and you save Ashley from harm. You have been asleep for many days, and there are some significant occasions that you have missed to witness."

Her eyes turned to me in wonder while my father hold her hands and did not say a word but he is listening to the next thing that I have to say. No one dared to make noise, even Maleficus did not move and Beta Derek stay seated on the couch while I stood still holding Ashley's hand. Her smile made me go on.

"My father is no longer the Alpha King, he has passed down the crown to me. But as the father of an Alpha King, he will stay as my advisor and a loyal member of the Royal pack."

She gasps and faces my father. "Oh! My love! Thanks to the Moon Goddess, our son is now the new Alpha King! Nothing makes me happier than to see you happy with me!"

The moment made me stunned as I thought she will not be happy with the news but she is even more glad. "And I thought the information will make you sad but here you are!"

I raise both my hand and smirked as both of them hug each other. Ashley moves forward and squeezes Carmela on the shoulders. So she broke away from my father's arms and embrace Ashley.

"Thank you, Carmela, I wouldn't be here if you didn't save me. I'm sorry for making you endure many days of absence because of the incident."

"No! Don't be sorry Ash. If I am to be given a chance to do it again, I would. You know we are family and I love you both. You and my son, now you are the Luna of the pack. You're the Queen of the Royal pack, please be strong and stay by the side of the Alpha King. He will be needing you in every moment of his life, the road might be tough ahead but if you two stay together you could conquer all things."

"Thank you, Carmela!"

Ashley returned to my side and then Beta Derek rose from his feet. Carmela turned to him and hug him tightly. It's still a little hard to believe that my Beta is the father of my mother. But fate has strange ways of giving us what we need and providing us with the people who genuinely bestow love and care for us.

"Keep yourself safe at all times Carmela. This is a lesson that you must learn. I do not want you to get hurt ever again."

Beta Derek murmured in her ear. She nodded and laugh softly.

"I will do my best the next time father, and now that my mate will stay with me, there is no reason for you to worry too much about me."

Beta Derek released her and shook his head. "I would always get worried for you but I am happy that you can now be with your mate for the rest of your lives."

"Thank you, father."

He smiled at her and let go of her from his arms.

My father then took a step towards them and hold her hand then he lead her to sit back on the mattress. She is not weak anymore but he is still worried about her.

Maleficus stood up from the couch and wave his hand.

"Now, let us give some privacy to the couple for them to celebrate having back in each other's arms. I can feel Carmela's vitality getting stronger so there is no reason for us to be troubled."

Carmela smiles at Maleficus and expresses her thanks. I lead the way to the door as I walk together with Ashley. It is still awkward to call Carmela mother, but deep inside we all know that I have accepted her role in our lives.

"Oh! Why are all of you leaving so fast?"

I was disappointed by the news that Alpha Zero and Luna Jasmin are already getting ready for their journey back in the North. She smiled and squeeze my hand.

"Do not worry Ash, you can always visit us in the North. For now, we must go back and let the cold mountain pack know that I have given birth. They must see my daughter."

I nodded my head, Alpha Zero took the luggage and winked at me while putting them in the trunk of the car. The baby is in the arms of Ayah who stood beside the car so I walk toward them and brush her cheek gently. She is sleeping peacefully and I could hear her tiny noise breathing in and out while her eyes are closed.

"Goodbye for now your majesty. We will go back to our home, thank you for making our stay very comfortable, especially to the new heir of the could mountain pack."

Ayah smiled at me while I pressed my lips gently on the baby's forehead.

"You're always welcome, I must apologize for my husband's absence in sending you off. He is busy with the warriors of the pack and also Alpha Xander is having a meeting with him today."

Alpha Zero came to us and shook my hand. "Your majesty, we are honored by your company before leaving. Please extend our sincere thanks to his majesty Alpha King Vincent."

His footsteps are light that I could not hear, the movements he exudes is a display of joy. They are very blessed to have a perfectly healthy baby girl. A noise coming from the inside of the palace took our attention, then Carmela emerged behind the doors together with the former Alpha King Jack.

"Hey, guys! Don't be going without saying goodbye to me."

She walks fast and immediately went beside Ayah and the baby. Luna Jasmin moves towards her. "Oh Carmela, I thought you were still sleeping. Forgive us for being excited to go back in the cold mountain pack."

Carmela hugs her tight. "Jasmin, I mean Luna Jasmin. I am so grateful for your visit, I should be the one apologizing for waking up late. We would love to visit you in the North one day, to see this baby grow up to be like her mom and dad."

Alpha Zero nodded his head and greeted Carmela before acknowledging the presence of Alpha King Vincent's father. 

"Have a safe journey Alpha Zero and to you my sister and your baby as well. Have you thought of giving her name yet?"

Ayah smiled and raise the baby. "Her name is Nelika taken from the ancient Goddess of snow. She will grow up to be a very strong she-wolf that men will envy her strength. Her beauty will be timeless, like a queen. She's the first born heir of the North and the enemies will fear her."

"Nice name!"

I express happily, and Carmela agreed. Alpha Zero focus his eyes on his child and nodded, his love for her shows in the sparkle reflected by the way he look at her.

The three of us, my father-in-law, Jack and his mate Carmela watch as Alpha Zero and his family get ready for their journey back to the North.
