Chapter 100
Chapter 100
The second the call ended, I closed my laptop. I stared blindly for a moment. Did I really see what I thought I did? No. Surely not. Could I have imagined the imp tornado in the reflection? Even if it was an imp, it didn’t mean it was ours. Just because they kept disappearing. And Rich was my ex that could possibly cause problems for their demon boss. Shit. I think I know what Kerrigan and Kensington have been off doing. Now, how to break it to their demons.
I chewed my thumb nail. Caspian was probably in the office downstairs. Sighing, I realized that if I didn’t go tell him, I would be keeping secrets from him. That was something I hated. Ugh. I stood up to go do the right thing. I slunk out of the room to traverse two flights of stairs to potentially upset a demon. What could go wrong.
Now on the ground floor, I went through the foyer to the hall that ran beside the main staircase. Rehearsing what I was going to say in my head, I turned to the left to go down the hall that the garage was at the end of. A door on the left side of the hall led to an office space tucked under the stairs that went to my room.
I’d never used it. It was completely empty in there. Preferring to have an office with a view, I had set up shop on the third floor. Squaring my shoulders, I knocked.
Caspian invited me in with an amused tone. I slipped in the door to see him sitting behind a desk I had never seen. It was a glossy espresso with ornate legs. Perfectly matching the built ins behind him. The floor to ceiling windows on the side looked at the dried-up cove. Currently the herd of cows were grazing there. A couple of herons were sitting on the pontoon boat that dangled from the dock.
The walls had been freshly painted a lovely gray with turquoise wainscotting. As yet there was no artwork. Possibly he was waiting for the paint to be good and dry. I turned my attention to the demon in the plush leather office chair. Smiling stiffly, I walked over to him.
His hands were still on the laptop in front of him as he watched me with narrowed eyes. He cocked an eyebrow at me. Undoubtedly, he knew I was bothered by something. Especially since I shouldn’t be off work for another thirty minutes. Also, I wasn’t wearing what he had last seen me in. I’d switched my work from home clothes for a cute little purple sundress with a plunging neckline and no bra.
I ducked under the arm he lifted for me. Confidently, I climbed into his lap, so I was kneeling over him. Pressing my chest against him, I locked my arms behind his head. Then traced his lips with my tongue. With a moan he granted me entrance. His hands came up to travel my back. Pressing me even tighter against him.
Mulberry wrapped around us. One of his hands slid down my ass. He gave it a squeeze. Then he pushed me forward. His hand slid down to the hem of my dress. He groaned when he realized I wasn’t wearing underwear. Panting, he pulled back from me. “Someone is a naughty girl.”
His mouth latched on to my throat as he kissed and bit his way to the crook. I moaned as I arched against him. I felt a finger slide between my slick folds. Feeling how soaked I was for him; he groaned against my neck.
As he moved to my nipple, I fumbled to unbuckle his belt. He snicked. Then the room shimmered, and he was naked under me. I felt the head of his cock against my opening. A desire filled sigh sounded in my throat as I slid myself onto him. I rode him until I was screaming his name ecstasy. He followed shortly after.
He gently pressed his forehead against mine as we panted, riding the high of mind-blowing orgasms. When I opened my eyes, he was watching me. A sexy little smile twitching at the corners of his mouth. I touched his face lovingly.
“My demon.” I kissed his nose. He cupped my face.
“My love.” He kissed my nose. I felt all mushy and lovey as I looked at him. After a deep kiss, I turned to look at the laptop behind me.
“What are you working on, Sexy McSexyton?” He nuzzled my ear with a husky sexy ass chuckle that made my girlie bits clench around his shaft that was still inside me.
“Your nicknames are getting better.” He nipped my earlobe. “I’m working on being human. But it’s a secret for now.”
Regretfully, I sighed. He raised an eyebrow. Given how in tune with my feelings he was, I’m sure he sensed the change in me. I kissed him quickly, then climbed off him. As I fixed my dress, the room shimmered. Now he was in a robe that was the same purple as my dress. God he was adorably sexy. I felt the zing. He raised an eyebrow. I shot him a flirty no look.
I sighed and just told him. “I think I know what Kerrigan has been up to.”
He quirked an eyebrow. “Oh?”
I explained what I had seen during the conference call. Also made sure I described Rich’s appearance and how he normally looked. Mentioned how off kilter he had seemed the last view times I had contact with him. All starting after Kerrigan had started to be missing.
Caspian nodded, then roared. “Kerrigan!!”
