THE FEELING OF ADULTHOOD

Laura woke up as early as 6:am she sat up on het bed and yawned widely. She scratched the back of her hair and heaved a long sigh. If there was something she felt at this very moment was the freedoms to do whatever she felt like doing. Finally it was her 18th birthday.
Too bad she had no one to tell about her birthday and hence she would have to celebrate alone. She wished she had her friends with her. Eva and Eric. They were the only ones who truly cared for her and always made her feel special.
Aira lazily left the bed and walked into the bathroom to brush her teeth. She stared at the mirror while washing her teeth, she thought of her parents. If they were still alive, she would probably still be a princess by now, and also she would had the grandest birthday ever.
She welled up and did not control her tears, she let then fall to her cheeks. She choked as she began brushing her teeth forcefully.
Xander and his father will pay for what they did to her. They killed her parents and destroyed her life. She would never forgive them. She sincerely prays for the time when she would have the opportunity to a avenge her parents death and take back all what belonged to her parents.
She didnt mind how long it was going to take, but one thing is certain, and that was the fact that she would take back her parents throne no matter what happens, even if she would have to sacrifice the last drop of her blood to do so!"
When Laura was done washing her teeth and het fsce, she left her room.and walked over to the verandah. Mrs Rosie wasn't an early bloomer, so she decided to seat in the verandah and wait until sun shines. She really wished the signs would start manifesting already. Her mother had told her a lot about the vampires.
Her mother wasn't originally a royal vampire, and so, she burned in the sun. She was only able to walk in the sun after she was mated to the King since he was royalty.
Laura wished to know what class she belonged to. If she was to become a vampire, what kind of vampire would she be? The one who could weather the sun, or the one who could only be active at night?
If she was to be active only at night, then she was doomed. It meant Mrs Rosie must surely find out about her identity and she wouldn't be able to go to work by the day.
What kind of work could she do at night if she was to become a nocturnal vampire? There are just so many things Laura was worried about. But her most worry was for her not to be found out by Mrs Rosie. She was the only person who was willing to take her in, she can't afford to loose her.
Laura stayed out door until Mrs Rosie wine up. She had thought everything through, s d the best voice was still the garden she had chosen for her transformation. If she transforms into a wolf, good thing the woods are close by, she would wallow in the bushes as much as her wolf wants, but if she was to be a vampire, the first thing she must thirst for was blood.
What will she do about the blood now? Ordinarily, she detest the taste of blood, but what she would become or how good she can control herself will depend on her.
She believed she would still be sensible even if she becomes a vampire and thirst for blood.
Suddenly, an idea on how to control her bloodlust struck. She was going to write down the reasons why she can't have blood.
Just in case she changes, she was going to be holding on to the paper and read it out aloud. She decided to take something edible too, , just in case she becomes dead hungry.
"Laura, what are you doing out so early?
Laura was suddenly startled off her thoughts the moment she heard the voice of Mrs Rosie.
"Huh? I uhm woke up early, that's alll."
"Oh, do you still wish to go job hunting today?"
"Well, I think I will pause for today, tomorrow maybe,"
"Oh, don't tell me you are already fed up."
"Of course not. I really need the job, and I would try my best to make sure that I'm having a stable job before the start of next week."
"I like your courage and perseverance. If you continue like this, you would surely get to that place which you want to."
Honestly sge never wished to wake up early, but at the same time, it wasn't easy getting a job. She didn't want to scare Mrs Rosie with her failed job hunting attempt.
Well, she doesn't plan on giving up now, anyway. She would continue to go job hunting until she is able to get a job
This was all going to be history. Just like her mom woukd always say, "Never give up now." Persevering and forging ahead would take her to where she wished to be. Laura wished her parents were not dead.
She wished her mom was still alive. Maybe then she would still be inside the palace. But honestly, she loved the freedom she felt while being outside. Now that she was outside, it seemed as she have developed courage and bravery. Things she lacked whole in the palace.
She did not feel restrained or tied up. She just felt happy and contented with herself. There was nothing more she needed. If she had still been in the palace, she was sure that she wouldn't know what it meant to truly have freedom. Now that she was outside. She felt safe. She did not have to got into the crowd to be happy and contented. She was already happy and contented as it is. There was great joy in her heart. After turning eighteen fully, she would feel more like an adult. She cluld feel her adulthood calling at that moment.
