THE LONG AWAITED TIME

While she laid on her bed, Laura kept staring at the time , waiting for the time to get to 11:pm on the dot. She wanted to use an hour to prepare herself for the garden journey.

Good thing Miss Rosie always turn in early for the night, this way she can freely do that which she wanted to do.

Laura waited for one more hour, and just as it got to 11:pm, she quickly sat up on her bed. She took down the backpack which she had hung on the wall.

She took the backpack which contained extra clothes she would change into just incase she became a werewolf.

After collecting all the things she might need, which included a meal, she slowly headed out of the house and headed straight to the garden with her flashlights on.

Laura didn't take the main route, knowing there were still people around, most especially those who kept late night. That was why she needed somewhere quiet for her transformation.

Good thing there was a quiet garden up ahead. Though it seemed the garden belonged to someone, but she didn't care since she would be going through the proper means. Even though she doesn't know how to fight, that doesn't mean she doesn't know how to climb a fence.

Fence climbing was a work over for her. And she had been practicing climbing over the fence, way before she actually began climbing over the fence.

In just some few minutes, Laura was already faced wjth the garden she was about to go into. Though there were no buildings surrounding the garden, but still she still had to be very careful. The last thing she ever wanted was to be caught on the night of her transformation. She had to be as careful as she could be.

Laura shut off the flashlights and immediately made for the fence, and fortunately, she was able to climb over the high fence she had always wanted to. Good thing she was able to do just that.

After she was successfully in, the next step she took was go over to the main garden which was still guarded by a protector but the only difference between the protector and the main gate was that the protector was locked and she could see the garden up close. There are some shimmering fancy lights which was beautifully installed in the garden which made it look more appealing to the eyes. The colours from the rays of the different colours of lights which reflected the different flowers gave it a comely look.

The scents emanating from the different kinds of flowers was just so magical and it eased the mind. More reason why Laura chose this place apart from it being out of the reach of people.

Laura quickly made her way into the beautiful garden and esyescanned her environment. The place was indeed very beautiful. She had never been to the garden at night before, but now that she was here, she e couldn't deny that the view of the garden at night was the most beautiful sight she had ever seen.

Kyra closed her eyes and inhaled the swet smell of the flowers. At that moment she felt like she was in a totally different place. It was just too beautiful and the peace of mind that she felt was top notch and that was the more reason she chose the garden.

There used to be a garden she frequented back at at the palace together with Erica, but this garden she was in could not be compared to the one in her palace.

Laura opened her arms wide with her eyes closed. She was enjoying the scent emanating from the flowers and it somehow helped her calm her nerves.

After having enough of the garden's comfort, she opened her eyes since she carried one little table clock, she quickly peered at the time, and to her greatest shock, it was 11:45pm.

She had just fifteen minutes to be who she was now. The ordinary and probably innocent girl whom she was sure would be disappearing soon and be replaced with someone entirely different.

Though she had no idea who she would become first, but one thing is for sure, and that was the fact that she would not be the same again once it was over midnight.

Laura slowly took the backpack off her shoulders and sat down on the garden floor to offload her goods. She didn't want any hindrance from what she was about to do.

She took out everything in the bag, including the one of paper she had earlier written the rules of what she was to do and what not.

While she stared at the sky, sbe was counting the minutes and the seconds before it would be twelve on the dot.

Just them, her wristwatch made a sound, which indicates that it was 12:am ny the time.

At that moment, Laura held her breath. She had no idea what would happen the next second or minute.

After a while, nothing seemed to have happened. This was strange. She was supposed to be transforming by now. She had seen so many peole transform, how come she wasn't transforming?

She was beginnings to get very panicky. She was supposed tovbe changing by now. Clukd she habe miscalculated the time?

But that cannot be the case. She knew that those whose coming of age she witnessed came on the moment it was 12:am.

Then, it seemed as though their could not wait to be born.

Why isn't her wolf showing? What could the problem now? Gosh! This cannot be. What of she doesn't have a wolf nor a vampire side to her?

Since there was no other hybrid that lived apart from her ot was hard to tell what she would be turning into. Even the prophecy didn't specify aniut what she wod actually become.

Now she was sure that the hybrid thimg might hsve to do with the hybrids not transforming into a wolf or a vampire. They might not have the features of the two breeds

But if that was to be the case, then it's as good as she being a human. Only humans do not possess the traits of a vampire or werewolf.
