Chapter 10 Chapter 10
Sable POV
The Wolves were looking at me, looking forward to what I will do.
As they all move around fighting each other, my power was surging like it was finding the perfect time to explode,I don't know what was happening to me, I all know was that I could feel a power growing from inside me something I have never feel before, something that has never happened to me before.
My chest burned like fire was trapped inside my ribs. Each breath I took became harder than the last, the strange energy twisting violently through my veins.
"What.... is happening to me?" I whispered.
Because at this point I didn't know what to do.More chaos erupted around us.
But even in the middle of the fight... the wolves kept looking at me.
Leonidas noticed it too.
His glowing eyes snapped toward me.
"Sable!"
I turned toward him, shaking,
"I don’t know what’s happening!"
Leonidas grabbed my shoulders, his grip firm but careful.
His golden eyes searched my face.
"Listen to me", he said urgently. "You need to calm down".
"I can’t!", I gasped. "Something inside me–"
My voice cut off as a wave of power moved violently through my body. Pain shot through my chest as I staggered backward.
Then suddenly—
I could hear them.
Not with my ears.
But inside my head.
Voices.
Dozens of voices.
Not just voices but their thoughts as well.
The wolves.
Every wolf in the courtyard.
I could hear their instincts, their hunger, their fury.
"Oh God.....", I whispered.
Leonidas frowned.
"What’s wrong?”, he asked.
“I can hear them!” I cried.
“Who?”
“The wolves!”
His expression darkened instantly.
“That’s impossible".
But it wasn’t. Because I could feel them.
Every single one. Their attention.Their focus.
All centered on me, as if they were waiting for me to make a move.
Another hunter lunged toward us with a silver blade.
Before Leonidas could react, a massive wolf slammed into the hunter’s side, sending him crashing across the pavement.
The wolf turned toward me afterward. Its golden eyes locked onto mine.
Waiting.
My heart pounded harder.
Why were they doing this?
"What are they waiting for....what am I to do", I thought.
Another wave of energy pulsed through my chest.
The pressure built again and it was unbearable.
The wolves’ thoughts flooded my mind louder this time.
'Protect'.
'Defend'.
'Fight'.
The emotions grew stronger with every passing second.
And then–
The word slipped from my lips right before I could stop it.
“Protect”.
The moment the word left my mouth....
Everything changed.Every wolf in the courtyard froze.
Then, as if responding to a silent command, they turned toward the hunters simultaneously.
Their growls deepened, their bodies lowered into attack stances.
The hunters noticed the shift immediately.
"Something’s wrong”, one of them said nervously.
Another hunter raised his weapon.
“Take them down!”
Too late.
The wolves attacked all at once.
It was brutal. Fast. Precise.
One wolf leapt onto a hunter’s back, knocking him to the ground. Another tore a weapon from a hunter’s hands with its jaws.
The rogue wolf from earlier moved like a storm through the battlefield, sending two hunters crashing into the ground with terrifying strength.
The courtyard exploded into chaos.
Leonidas stared at me.
Realization slowly filled his eyes.
“You did that”,he said.
“I didn’t mean to!” I said quickly.
But even as I spoke...
The power kept building while the voices of the wolves grew louder in my mind.I could feel their movements. Their instincts.
It was overwhelming.
Zander suddenly appeared beside us, ducking under a hunter’s swinging weapon before knocking the man unconscious with a sharp strike.
He glanced at me.
“Well”, he said calmly, “this is interesting.”
“This isn’t funny!” I snapped.
“Oh, I’m not laughing”.
Another hunter fired a silver bullet toward us.
Leonidas shoved me aside just as the bullet moved past my shoulder and made itself into the wall behind us. His growl rumbled through the air.
“Enough!”
He lunged forward, grabbing the hunter and slamming him into the ground with crushing force.
But there were still too many hunters. Even with the wolves fighting beside us.
Then suddenly—
A slow clap echoed through the courtyard.
Everyone froze as the sound didn’t belong to those fighting the battle. It came from the forest. All eyes turned toward the tree while I wondered who the person that was coming now was.
A figure stepped out of the shadows. Tall. Calm.
Completely unafraid, even what was going on.
He wore a long dark coat, his hands casually resting in his pockets. His sharp silver eyes swept across the battlefield.
Then they stopped on me.
A slow smile spread across his face.
“Well”, he said softly.
“This is fascinating”.
Leonidas’ entire body stiffened. His wolf reacted instantly. Danger. Real danger.
“Who are you?” Leonidas growled.
The man ignored him as he kept his gaze on me.
“So it’s true”, he murmured.
My stomach twisted.
“What?”
He tilted his head slightly.
“You really don’t know, do you?”
Leonidas stepped in front of me protectively.
“Answer the question”.
The man sighed lightly.
“You Alphas are always so impatient.”
Zander crossed his arms casually.
“You showed up in the middle of a fight. That tends to make people suspicious”.
The stranger chuckled.
“Fair enough”.
Then his eyes shifted back to me.
“And you must be Sable”.
My breath caught.
“How do you know my name?”
The man’s smile widened.
“Because I’ve been looking for you”.
A chill ran down my spine.
Leonidas’ voice dropped into a dangerous growl.
“You’re not taking her anywhere”.
The stranger laughed quietly.
“Oh, Alpha Leonidas...relax”.
Then he said something that made the air feel colder.
“I’m not here to take her”.
He pointed toward me.
“I’m here because of what she is”.
My chest tightened.
“What do you mean?” I asked.
The stranger studied me carefully.
Almost like he was examining something rare.
“Tell me something”, he said.
“Have you noticed strange things happening around you lately?”
My silence was answer enough.
His smile faded into something more serious.
“Yes... I thought so”.
Leonidas stepped closer.
“Stop speaking in riddles”.
The stranger finally looked at him.
“You really don’t know either?”
Leonidas’ jaw clenched.
“Know what?”
The stranger’s eyes returned to me.
“Poor girl.”
My heart pounded.
“Tell me what?”
For a moment, he didn’t answer.
Then he said quietly–
“You’re not an Omega”.
The words hit me like a punch.
“That’s impossible”, Leonidas said immediately.
The stranger shrugged.
“Is it?”
He gestured toward the wolves surrounding the courtyard.
“They’re obeying her”.
My breath caught.
“They’re just reacting to the fight”.
“Wrong”.
His eyes sharpened.
“They’re reacting to her”.
My chest tightened again as another surge of power burned through my veins.
The stranger watched me carefully.
“You feel it, don’t you?”he said.
I swallowed.
“Yes”.
His voice dropped lower.
“That power inside you isn’t random”.
“Then what is it?”
The stranger’s expression became almost reverent.
“It’s ancient”.
Leonidas’ expression darkened.
“What are you talking about?”
The stranger smiled slowly.
“The kind of power that hasn’t appeared in centuries”.
The wolves around us suddenly went silent. Completely silent.
The stranger looked at me one last time.
Then he said the words that made the entire courtyard freeze.
“You’re the Omega Queen”.
My mind went blank.
The power inside my chest surged violently again.
And this time–
I lost control completely.
