Chapter 11 Chapter 11
Sable POV
'You are the Omega queen', those words echoed in the head as I lost control my so called 'power'.
A scream tore out of my throat as the energy exploded from my body like a storm finally breaking free. The force blasted outward in a powerful wave, through the courtyard with enough strength to knock several hunters off their feet, while the wolves reacted instantly. Every single one of them dropped low, their bodies bowing instinctively toward me.The sudden movement shocked everyone.
Leonidas staggered back a step, his golden eyes widening in disbelief as he felt the pressure pouring out of me.
The air itself felt heavier.
Thicker.
'Like something ancient had awakened'.
I clutched my chest as the power continued to surge uncontrollably through my veins.
It burned. It hurt.
But it also felt.... alive.
“Sable!” Leonidas shouted.
His voice sounded distant, like it was coming from underwater.
I could barely focus.
Because suddenly—
I could hear them.
I mean not just the wolves in the courtyard.
More. Far more.
Different voices, hundred of them.
Thoughts and instincts flooded my mind all at once, overwhelming and chaotic.
Fear. Hunger. Loyalty. Confusion.
It all poured into my head like a rushing river.
I dropped to my knees, gripping my head tightly.
“Make it stop”, I gasped.
Yet the voices only grew louder.
The wolves surrounding the courtyard stared at me with glowing eyes.
And just like they were waiting. Listening. Obeying.
“What’s happening to her?” Zander asked sharply.
The stranger who had appeared from the forest watched me with fascination. Like I was an interesting movie.
"She’s awakening”, he said calmly.
Leonidas turned toward him with a dangerous growl.
“You knew this would happen”.
The stranger shrugged slightly.
“I suspected”.
“That’s not good enough”, Leonidas snapped.
Another pulse of power exploded from my body.
This one was stronger.
More intense.
A deep pressure rolled across the courtyard, forcing several of the hunters to their knees.
Their weapons clattered onto the ground.
“What the hell is this?!” one of them shouted.
The wolves didn’t attack.
They remained bowed.
They were waiting—order.
My breathing became ragged as the voices in my mind grew unbearable.
I could feel every wolf.
'Their heartbeat'.
'Their emotions'.
'Their instincts'.
It was too much.
“I can’t control it!” I cried.
Leonidas moved toward me carefully.
His voice softened slightly.
“Sable.... listen to me”.
I shook my head desperately.
“I can hear them all!”
His expression darkened.
“All of them?”
I nodded weakly.
“Too many...”
The stranger stepped forward slightly.
“That’s the pack bond”, he said.
Leonidas shot him a glare.
“Explain”.
The stranger folded his arms.
“The Omega Queen is the center of the entire wolf network”.
Zander raised an eyebrow.
“That sounds...inconvenient”.
The stranger ignored him.
“She doesn’t just lead wolves”, he continued. “She connects them”.
Leonidas frowned.
“What do you mean?”
The stranger gestured toward me with his chin raised.
“She can hear every wolf tied to the bond”.
My stomach twisted painfully.
The voices in my head were overwhelming now.
I squeezed my eyes shut.
“Stop....” I whispered.
But they didn’t.
The emotions kept flooding in. I could feel all their emotions.
Fear.
Pain.
Anger.
Hope.
It was endless.
My heart pounded harder.
The pressure in my chest built again.
Another surge of power burst out of me. This one was different. Stronger.
A crushing aura filled the courtyard.
The wolves immediately dropped lower to the ground.
Even Leonidas stiffened.
His powerful Alpha aura flickered as my power pushed against it.
For the first time since I met him......
Leonidas looked shaken.
“That pressure..”, he muttered.
The stranger smiled faintly.
“Yes”.
My body trembled violently.
The power inside me demanded release.
The voices in my head screamed louder and without meaning to—
A word slipped from my mouth.
“Kneel”.
The moment the command left my lips....
Everything stopped.
Every wolf in the courtyard flattened completely against the ground.
The hunters collapsed to their knees instantly, unable to resist the overwhelming force of the command. Even Zander staggered slightly before steadying himself.
But the most shocking reaction came from Leonidas.
His body froze.
His jaw clenched tightly as he fought against the command.
For several seconds he resisted it. His Alpha power pushing back fiercely.
But my power was stronger.
Slowly and reluctantly against his wish.
Leonidas dropped to one knee.
Silence filled the courtyard.
My eyes widened in horror.
“I didn’t mean—” my voice shook.
“I didn’t mean to do that!”
Leonidas lifted his head slowly, his golden eyes burning with shock.
“You..... forced an Alpha to kneel”.
The stranger’s smile widened.
“Exactly”.
My chest tightened painfully.
The pressure in my mind was becoming unbearable. The wolves’ voices grew louder.
Now I could hear wolves far beyond the forest.
Miles away. Dozens. Hundreds.
All responding to the awakening power.
The stranger’s expression turned serious.
“They can feel her”.
Leonidas frowned.
“Who?”
The stranger looked toward the distant forest.
“Every pack”.
A chill ran down my spine.
“What?”
“The Omega Queen’s awakening sends a signal through the pack bond”, he explained calmly.
“Every Alpha will feel it”.
Zander groaned.
“Well that sounds like a disaster waiting to happen”.
Leonidas stood slowly, the pressure around him intensifying again as he regained his footing.
His eyes locked onto the stranger.
“You knew this would happen”.
“Yes”.
“Then why come here?”
The stranger’s gaze shifted back to me.
“Because she’s in danger now”.
My stomach dropped.
“Danger?”
The stranger nodded.
"You’ve just awakened the rarest power in wolf history".
His voice grew colder.
“And every Alpha in the world will want control of it”.
Fear tightened my chest.
“I don’t want any of this!”
Another wave of power burst from me, shaking the ground slightly. My vision blurred.
The voices in my head became deafening.
It felt like my mind was being torn apart.
Leonidas moved quickly toward me, grabbing my shoulders before I could collapse.
“Sable, look at me”.
I struggled to focus on his face.
“Make it stop...”
His voice softened again.
“You need to breathe”.
“I can’t control it”.
“You can”, he said firmly.
Another painful wave surged through my chest.
The voices screamed louder.
My vision darkened.
“I think...I’m going to pass out..”
Leonidas’ grip tightened.
“Stay with me”.
But it was too late.
The power inside me surged one final time. The voices exploded into chaos inside my mind.
And then—
Everything went black.
The last thing I heard before losing consciousness..
Was the stranger saying quietly,
“Well.... that’s going to cause a war”.
