Chapter 188: Do You Think We Are Suitable?
This girl was really something. Her outburst made everyone in the coffee shop turn their heads.
"You..."
Ron pointed at the girl, but he was so shocked by her outburst that he couldn't get a word out.
The girl continued, "Can you believe this? We're gonna expose you."
She quickly pulled out her phone, pretending to record a video. She wasn't dumb; she knew how these rich folks operated.
"Alright, you little punks, you must have a death wish!"
They had underestimated the ugliness of human nature.
Was Ron just any ordinary guy?
He acted this way because he didn't care about a woman's threats.
"Grab them!"
Ron had bodyguards with him. At his command, two bodyguards rushed forward.
"You wouldn't dare..."
Julie and her friend were no match for the bodyguards.
As for the other people in the coffee shop, they were just watching the show. No one was going to step in to help.
Just when Julie and her friend were about to lose hope, a figure stepped in front of them.
Jeremy couldn't stand to see such things happen.
He stepped forward and with a single kick, sent the two bodyguards flying.
"Get lost!"
Jeremy's words made Ron's legs tremble. He could only glare viciously at Jeremy and the two girls before turning to leave.
He would remember their faces!
"Thank you!"
Julie's friend, Patty Graves, was outgoing and her eyes were filled with admiration for Jeremy. His moves just now were so cool.
Jeremy said, "No problem. You should leave quickly. This guy might come after you."
Jeremy had intervened on a whim. He didn't want to cause trouble just after arriving at Dawnwater Coast, a place with a complex power structure.
Patty suddenly felt a wave of fear. She had just slapped Ron.
She had heard that Ron was connected to the Stewart family of Dawnwater Coast, a very wealthy family.
"Julie, what are we going to do?"
"We can't go back to the company. Our boss is a pervert and will definitely threaten us. He sent us to meet Ron with bad intentions!"
"Julie, maybe we should run away, leave Dawnwater Coast."
Julie sighed as she looked at Patty.
However, Jeremy suddenly became interested. His gaze swept over the two girls.
Weren't they much better than the girls who had come for interviews earlier?
Jeremy asked, "Do you want to change jobs?"
The two girls looked at Jeremy, puzzled.
Patty asked, "Can you help us find a new job?"
"By the way, were you meeting all those girls earlier for a date?"
"What do you think of us? Would you consider one of us? If you're a local, that would be perfect."
They had studied in Dawnwater Coast and were determined to stay in the big city.
There were more opportunities in the big city, but not everyone could succeed.
They had been working for a year, but after rent and daily expenses, they had little money left.
They also had to deal with harassment from some of their superiors.
Jeremy was handsome and young. If he was a local, being with him wouldn't be a loss, and they could stay in the big city.
This was actually a shortcut many young girls took, though Patty's way of saying it was a bit blunt.
Jeremy chuckled, "I'm not from Dawnwater Coast, and I wasn't on a date. I was conducting interviews!"
"Interviews!"
The two girls were slightly taken aback.
Jeremy then explained that he was hiring.
After a long explanation, they finally believed that Jeremy was indeed conducting interviews.
"So, what do you think of us? We graduated from top universities," Patty said, trying to sound confident.
"But we have some conditions. First, the salary has to be high, and second, we need a place to stay."
They couldn't go back to their current company, and they couldn't expect to get their salaries.
Without a salary, they couldn't pay rent!
Their rent was due soon, and without money, they would be kicked out. Landlords in Dawnwater Coast weren't easy to deal with.
So Patty made such unreasonable demands. They had no choice. If they didn't, they would be kicked out and humiliated when they returned home.
Prestigious university graduates losing their jobs and not earning enough to pay rent would be embarrassing.
Julie awkwardly said, "Sorry, my friend is just talking nonsense!"
They really dared to say anything. Nowadays, college graduates were everywhere, and good-looking ones were also common.
Didn't they see that the beautiful girls who interviewed earlier didn't seem to pass?
Jeremy chuckled, "Alright, I can meet your demands!"
Now it was Julie and Patty's turn to be dumbfounded.
"You must be joking!"
Patty didn't believe it and looked serious.
"Let me tell you, Julie and I even bought our phones on installment plans. We don't have money for you to scam!"
"You wouldn't be trying to trick us into becoming prostitutes in the Crimson Triangle, would you? Then sell our organs after draining our value!"
Her thinking was really out there!
But with so many scammers around, it wasn't surprising. The Crimson Triangle had stopped growing poppies and turned into a scam hub.
Scamming was more profitable than growing poppies.
Jeremy said, "You can check it out first!"
He then told them about the Sunrise Sunshine Group.
The two girls took out their phones and started searching. Soon, they were both shocked.
The CEO of Sunshine Group had publicly available photos, and they compared the photos with Jeremy. It was indeed him.
"Mr. Taylor!"
Patty's attitude changed immediately. She smiled and said, "Tell us what you need us to do. We'll do anything."
Patty's outgoing personality made her a great fit for sales.
Jeremy calmly said, "I'm hiring assistants. You two can follow me and get familiar with Dawnwater Coast..."
After Jeremy explained his plan, the two girls instinctively picked up their newly ordered coffees and took a sip.
They needed to calm down. Although they had checked the Sunshine Group's information, they couldn't fully trust the company's strength.
"Mr. Taylor, are you serious?"
Patty took a deep breath and said, "We're just ordinary people with only a year of work experience. Are you sure you want us to handle such big tasks?"
"It's not that we lack confidence, but this is a bit too much. This is Dawnwater Coast, where every inch of land is worth its weight in gold."
"You might be a big boss in Sunrise, but Dawnwater Coast is different. Here, money is everything."
Jeremy stopped her from continuing and placed a card in front of them, saying, "This is the startup fund!"
Patty asked, "Mr. Taylor, how much are we talking about? At least a few million dollars, right? Tens of millions would be even better."
Jeremy calmly said, "Ten billion dollars!"
