Chapter 95

Yzabelle.

My heart thumped hard against my chest. Why did I feel something that would come up would probably change our lives?

Was this the moment he would tell me how hard our sail would be?

I didn’t care anymore. I had made a decision and I think I needed to apologize to my Dad.

I guess I couldn’t keep my part in our agreement anymore.

“I didn’t know how to start it but I think you deserved to know everything.” Killian started.

I sighed. “I already knew.”

“You knew?” His forehead furrowed.

I turned to him and smiled. “Yeah, Sabrina Red, Corbin’s grandmother told me that my Mom came from her pack. I was her best friend’s daughter.”

Killian was silent for a while. From the look on his face, I could tell he was surprised. I thought he already knew.

Wait. Wasn’t it the thing that he was about to tell me? That I was from Corbin’s pack?

“You didn’t know?” I sounded like I was asking but I was just confirming it.

“I did.” He said. “But what surprised me is the thought that everyone from the Remus pack already knew about it. That means they will never let you go.” He heaved a deep breath. “Anyway, that would not be a problem because I am not going to give up on you. You are my mate and you’ve already given me yourself so, you can’t get away from me anymore,” he sounded confident but he was gritting his teeth.

But Killian suddenly turned to me. “You still have a lot of things to know and what I am about to tell you might change everything. But I want you to know that whatever your thoughts will be, I still won’t let you go. You have to deal with me for the rest of your life, you got it?”

I gave him a sweet smile. He sounded like he was giving me a warning and yet, I didn’t mind at all. All I cared about was the last line he said.

That I had to deal with him for the rest of our lives. Well, that was exactly what I had decided to do.

“Fine, what is it? Fire it out.” I said without breaking an eye.

And the more he gazed at me, the more he looked serious. I was starting to get nervous. I had a feeling that it was a huge thing. He seemed to have second thoughts about telling me.

“Come on, just tell me. Dad was in Caserta and I didn’t know where he would come back. So, you have to tell me what it is while we have the time.” I persuaded him.

I even inched towards him and rested my head on his chest, near his heart. I could hear the loud banging on his wild chest. He probably was having a hard time deciding.

I heard him draw a hard breath. I was certain he was holding himself really hard. Because right now, as the seconds that we were skin to skin, the heat was starting to ignite inside me, down to my belly.

“You better not do that, Yzabelle,” he winced achingly. “Or I would not be able to control myself. I would not be able to start talking,” he warned me but he sounded otherwise.

And I knew better.

“Alright, I’ll let you talk but let me be inside your arms.”

He giggled. Why did his giggles sound so beautiful in my ears?

“Naughty,” he said, grinning. He was about to kiss me on the lips but I pushed him on the chest.

“Talk.”

He growled and I chuckled. But we began being serious while I was still leaning against his chest. I was aching down my belly and I had to endure it for the sake of talking.

“You are the reincarnation of my mate, Yzabelle,” he whispered while landing a small kiss on my temple. “The man who swung a sword at you wasn’t me but the future version of me.”

Wait.

Did I hear it right? I was certain I heard him right. But why did his words sound so ridiculous? And what was more ridiculous was the next thing he would tell me.

“That’s right, Yzabelle. I came from a decade ago and I asked a witch to help me travel through time because I need to find you. I need to find the woman who was destined to kill me.”

My eyes widened in shock and confusion. I was too stupefied to utter a word.

What was he talking about?

“There was a seer in lycan world who told me that my mate was destined to kill me. And that was Laura. But she took her life even before I found her. She made a very wrong choice of trying to change her fate and it all ended with her ceasing her existence,” Killian tried to explain to me everything.

Every single thing he knew about my past life. And every time he would say a thing, I just couldn’t believe it. But I had to believe it. Because everything made sense. All of his actions were explained right after he told me everything.

“So, you came here to kill me before I could? You even made a bet with my best friend from my past life? Is that what you were telling me?”

I was beyond shocked when he nodded. I could see the deep regret mirrored in his eyes.

“But you see? Saskia was right. I could never kill you just as I planned it. The first time I saw you in this lifetime, I felt the same thing I had for you the first time I laid my eyes on you when you were Laura. I just couldn’t overpower this feeling.”

I shook my head in disbelief. “So, it was just the mate bond, right? If you reject me or I reject you, everything will change, including your feelings.”

It pained me so deeply to say all this but that was the reality that I must accept. Every feeling that I had for him was just because of that stupid mate bond! We were mates that’s why we felt this way.

Hell, what was this conversation all about? I still couldn’t get a hang of it. Why would he tell me everything?

He must be up for something. But I wasn’t sure if I was still willing to find out.
