Don’t Hide It Anymore
Chapter 44 – Don’t Hide It Anymore
Iris’ mind stayed alert the whole time. She was looking for an opening to help Lilly escape from their situation. However, the masked men were too numerous and didn’t give her a chance. Moreover, the truck where they were in hadn’t stopped moving since they took off.
Iris squeezed Lilly’s soft hand to comfort her. She was feeling really bad. If it weren’t for her asking Lilly to go to that mall today and just quietly stayed put inside her home, then they wouldn’t have been taken. Her heart hurt when she thought that she implicated Lilly.
Lilly felt Iris’ mood and patted her head. “What’s wrong? Are you uncomfortable anywhere?” She asked Iris.
Iris blinked and looked at Lilly’s eyes. She saw that the younger woman seemed to be relaxed and not afraid at all. Iris smiled at her and said, “Lilly, you are so strong and kind.”
Lilly smiled back and was about to reply to her when the truck suddenly stopped, causing the other people to scream in fear.
Iris tried to stay calm but she gripped Lilly’s hand tighter. She had decided that even if it would cause her life, she wouldn’t let anything bad to happen to Lilly.
“Everyone hurry and come down right now!” Iris heard a ragged voice shouted and saw a big masked man gripped the hair of one females and threw her out of the truck. The others panicked more when they saw this.
She bit her lower lip and unconsciously held on her small stomach to feel the little life inside it.
*My baby. I hope your daddy will come soon to save us. Your mommy is really afraid.* Iris thought as she felt her eyes blurred a little.
The masked man started to roughly push the other people out of the truck. When he came in front of Lilly and Iris, the man gave a nasty chuckle.
“Yo! Jackpot! Look at these beautiful women.” He whistled.
“D&mn. I get dibs on the silver lady.” The other masked man replied.
“Sure, bro! I have my eyes on this brunette. Look at that sexy figure.” The big masked man said as he stared at Iris. He was about to reach out and grab her when he felt himself falling hard.
“You clumsy fool!” Another voice came. Lilly grabbed Iris’ hand and helped her to stand before the two of them walked down the truck on their own.
Surprisingly, no one stopped them. However, the truth was the masked men all felt that they would experience something horrible if they mess with the ladies.
After a few minutes, Iris and Lilly were standing in the crowd of people. The masked men have taken around fifty hostages and they were all taken in an abandoned warehouse inside a forest. Iris held her breath as she saw that compared to them, the other hostages who were put in other trucks were treated roughly.
Lilly was calmly standing behind Iris. The latter deliberately stood in front of her and was trying to protect her.
Lilly smiled at her action as she scanned the area. There were around two hundred humans with destructive weapons and surprisingly, more than a thousand rogues. Moreover, someone who could control a strange kind of energy was leading them.
Lilly stayed put and softly held Iris’ hand. She was waiting for Sebastian to take care of the humans then she would make her move.
“Lilly, the masked men around us looks a bit weird.” Lilly heard Iris say.
“How come?” She asked as she quietly put a wind barrier around them in order to prevent their voices to be heard by the enemies.
“They are on high alert. However, I feel that their eyes are confused.” Iris whispered.
Lilly looked at the masked men. True enough, all of them were acting in an organized manner. However, their eyes have slight flashes of confusion.
It seemed like, their bodies are being controlled. However, Lilly couldn’t feel any trace of black magic in them.
*Luna Lilly, your highness, I’m here.* A voice sounded in Lilly’s mind which made her smile.
*I know you’re here. Can you hypnotize the humans from afar?* Lilly asked.
*I can. I think it’s better if I make them sleep so we can move them without worry.* Sebastian, an Alpha who specialized with the power of hypnotism, told Lilly.
*Do it.* Lilly replied.
*How about the prince’s mate?* Lilly looked at Iris who was looking seriously at the entrance of the door.
*My son doesn’t want to hide it from her anymore*. Lilly answered Sebastian.
*As your wish, my queen.* Sebastian dramatically replied.
Iris’ mind was just calculating the probability of the time that they would need if they run to the exit when she suddenly saw that the people around her, except Lilly, falls to the ground one by one.
