My Son Can Do It on His Own
Chapter 41 – My Son Can Do It on His Own
Elliot finished the phone call with Iris and joined the group of a few individuals gathered in a clearing of a forest.
“Is my daughter-in-law doing alright?” A lazy voice asked him. Elliot looked over and saw handsome young man in white t-shirt and jeans walking over to his side. He looks immaculately handsome but the silent but dangerous aura around him cannot be contained.
Lucas, Elliot's father, stopped by a tree nearby and lazily leaned on it's trunk.
A few hours ago, Sean, Elliot's secretary, caught another human spy in one of their subsidiaries' premises. After a series of "inquiries," the person spat out that the Brotherhood of the Unseen cooperated with some werewolves and was planning on mass attacking the human in four days. When asked what the purpose of the attack was, the human spy merely uttered, "To chase away the monsters who are trying to take over the human's world."
Thus, Elliot, Lucas and a few others gathered right away to immediately attack their bases and stop their planned attacks.
“Yes. She just woke up. Bellona said that she won’t experience any morning sickness.” Elliot quietly answered Lucas. His brows were furrowed as if he was worried about something.
“Hmm.” Lucas, Elliot just nodded and didn't say anything else. Elliot didn’t mind his lack of response and walked towards a big man who was crouching on the ground to observe him. The man was not moving. A silent but quiet aura was being emitted from his body. He had one of his hands on the ground as if he was feeling the earth. That man was Tane, an alpha who specializes in tracking.
A few seconds later, Tane opened his eyes and told everyone, “I sensed their scents. Instead of being gathered in one base, it seems that they are scattered in the South. It is the same case in the South. We have to move capture them.”
Elliot nodded before looking at the group and said, "I will go to the North with Sean." Indicating that the group should split and the others should go to the South.
"Their bases in the North are also hidden and it would be close to impossible to find it without a tracker. It might be better if we go together once we finished raiding the South. I can also contact my Beta to come here but you will have to wait a while for him to arrive." Tane offered.
"That's fine. Sean and I can find their bases. Let's split up and move right now so we can catch them by surprise." Elliot declined him office.
Lucas stared at Elliot's stern face and the corner of his lips started to tilt. "My son will be fine on his own. Let us split up and move." He interjected. Tane looked at him for a second before nodding.
"Keep in touch and kill all the rogues that you will find in the brotherhood. We have to move fast and cannot afford to take in prisoners. As for the humans, let the human authorities handle them after we disarm them." Lucas lightly ordered and everyone nodded in acknowledgement.

In the middle of a luxurious living room, a figure was lazing around on the sofa as she read a romantic manga on her phone.
Iris, who had been asked to stay at home for three days, was quiet bored. Although she was enjoying the story that she was reading and everything around her was comfortable, she still felt somehow restless when she thought that it was a Tuesday morning and she wasn't working.
As she was reading, her phone suddenly buzzed so she hurriedly answered it.
"Hello? Lilly!" Iris enthusiastically said.
"Iris, how are you?" One could feel the smile from the words of the other person.
"I'm great, Lilly! How about you?" Iris replied. Although she just met Lilly a few days ago, Iris really liked her so she was happy to be talking to her.
"I'm alright. I will go to the city again today." Lilly gently answered.
"Really? You will be in the city today?" Iris excitedly asked as she munched on a cute looking pastry. Last night, she was sad that she finished the cinnamon rolls that Elliot brought home from her. Thankfully, she saw a set of newly delivered pastries in their kitchen counter when went there this morning.
"Yes. Are you free today? Let's spend the day together." Lilly's voice was elegant and gentle.
"I am, Lilly! Should we return to the jewelry shop today? I received my bonus and have enough money to buy the ring last time!" Iris proudly said before she heard Lilly chuckled through the phone.
"Alright. Let's go there today." Lilly said after giving Iris an elegant laugh.
