Chapter 37 Hanging Debt
She at least needed to do something as she didn't feel like taking a nap.
Settling on going back to her room to force herself to sleep, Isabella wondered if Madam Paula would keep shouting at her if she went to do the laundry.
They were supposed to be resting after all.
The mansion suddenly seemed boring.
Approaching her room, Isabella turned towards the parts of the mansion that clawed at her curiosity.
“This isn't going to end well!”, Isabella said out loud before she entered her room.
She had promised herself that she wouldn't do anything rash for the sake of her family.
Isabella simply sighed as she went towards her bed, forcing herself to take a nap afterwards.
The thought of the things Luciano could do to cause harm to her family outweighed her curiosity.
She had settled to stay put.

The farming business the Morales family had ventured into turned out to be more profitable than they could ever imagine.
They sold high quality products which attracted factories, high profile clients, and various other clienteles.
The girls brought up several beautiful ideas that only made way for the growth of the business.
The revenue growth per month was enough to clear Mr Morales’ doubt on the profitability of the business.
“...If this continues, we'll be able to pay the full amount in no time!”, Mrs Morales said as she looked at the receipt of five hundred thousand Euros paid to one of Luciano's accounts.
The feeling of hope started to resurface in her heart.
“Then we'll get our daughter back in no time!”, Mr Morales added.
“Do we need to give this to him in person, like the last time?!”, Mrs Morales asked.
“No, The Don said to keep in touch with his assistant!”, Mr Morales answered.
“The bald guy?!”, his wife asked.
“Yes, that one!”, Mr Morales replied.
“I just wish that he would let us speak to Isabella! To know how she's doing!”, Mrs Morales said as tears came to form in her eyes.
“Me too! But The Don is not someone we can make decisions for! So we have to work harder to raise the money!”, Mr Morales said.
The couple or the family in general had no idea the things Luciano was putting their daughter through.
The things he would put her through had an even profound impact on her outlook of life and her way of thinking.
Mr Morales would have made the decision not to go forward with the loan if he knew The Don was going to make his daughter stand in the rain.

Isabella woke up a few hours later, the sounds of steady movements waking her up.
Approaching the ensuite bathroom to wash her face, Isabella wondered if it was Madam Paula, Mia or the guards who were roaming the house.
“I'm going to come down to have breakfast!”, Isabella’s eyes opened wide as she heard the deep voice in the distance.
‘The Don!’, Isabella thought as she tiptoed back to her bed to act like she was in deep sleep.
The first thing she thought to do upon hearing his voice was to run.
Probably if Luciano saw her reaction he would know that a quarter of his plan was already facilitated.
The man in question wondered why he hadn't seen his form of amusement.
‘Andreas reported that she woke up!’
\~~~
Isabella remained in the position when Madam Paula came to check in on her.
She had hoped desperately that Madam Paula would be convinced she was asleep and would leave her alone.
She wasn't ready to look at the man, or even be in his vicinity.
At that point, Isabella dreaded the sight of the man. The demon she hadn't realized had taken her away from her family.

Luciano came back down the stairs, quite surprised to see Mia dishing out the food on his plates.
“Where’s Isabella?!”, Luciano asked as she was the one who usually dished out his food.
“She’s still taking a nap sir!”, Mia said as she took her position.
“Alright!”, Luciano said as he moved towards the dining table to start eating.
“I'll call you when I'm done!”, Luciano ordered as Mia left the vicinity.
He was so used to seeing Isabella be on stand by whenever he ate.
Unconsciously, he looked towards the position she'd take when she dished out his food.
Maybe he'd have been much nicer to her if she hadn't caused him so much confusion.
Stubborn and unwilling to accept that Isabella was becoming more than an amusement, someone to get a reaction out of, Luciano decided to prove to himself that she was nothing but that.
He suddenly had a bright idea upon recalling he was a powerful Mafia Don.
A smirk appeared on his face as his green eyes looked into the distance, focusing on nothing in particular.
“Mia!”, Luciano called out!
“Can I help you Don!?”, Mia asked as she came to a halt a few steps away from Luciano.
“Where's Paula??”, Luciano asked.
“She's in the kitchen, do you want me to get her sir?!”, Mia asked as Luciano nodded.
Mia wasted no time as she approached the kitchen to get Madam Paula.
Luciano shook his head as he reflected on how much he had been exchanging words with his staff.
Something he didn't particularly like.
Madam Paula approached him as he continued eating his food.
“You called for me sir!”
“Yes I did! You, Isabella and Mia would be going to the house by the lake. I need it cleaned up!”, Luciano ordered.
“When do you want that sir!?!”, Madam Paula asked, not surprised at the spontaneity of Luciano's orders.
“Tomorrow or the day after! I'll be staying there for a week!”, Luciano said.
“Any special requests sir!?”, Madam Paula asked, a specific detail that had become a routine.
“Yes, leave Isabella with Alex! They'll be the one tending to the house while I'm there!”, Luciano said as Madam Paula nodded and left.
Luciano continued eating his food, a smirk slowly forming on his face.
He took his phone, sending a text through to Andreas.
\~~~~
Andreas on the other hand who was busy overseeing a shipment suddenly got two notifications on his phone.
One from Mr Morales and the second from the Don himself.
Reading Luciano's text first, Andreas wondered what sort of mischief he needed Alex for.
Noticing how hands on Luciano had been in some areas, Andreas wondered why Luciano was out of character from his usual aloof self.
“Someone's got to be in trouble!”, Andreas concluded as he went back to what he was doing.
