Chapter 65: Romantic kiss in the rain
Sophia stormed into the sitting room fuming and screaming out of frustration, she felt like breaking and kicking everything or anything that came her way.
" Did he so much hate to be with me to this extent?", she glared at them through the transparent glass, seeing those happy faces, hugging and celebrating could only make her blood boil more. It didn't even cross her mind to stop the media from publishing anything and this worked as an advantage for Liam who soon became the most trending searches on the Internet. The Best CEO.
" This is all because of her, it's all because of her", Sophia said and just at that moment, she looked up at the beautiful chandelier and again at the handrail upstairs, she walked to it and saw there was another handrail facing the backyard.
' If someone falls from this, he or she will die ', she said in her mind and immediately put a call through. After hanging up the call she said.
" There's always an accident, the rail was so old. I don't mean to kill you so fast but your existence is so irritating, not like you are the first girl I'm killing for him so you and that celebrity girl should better not hold grudges, I'm not the one who made you go for something that belongs to someone else", she said and smirk.
While everyone was busy celebrating and having fun she sneaked a man in to cut the rail in a way that if someone relaxed on it the rail would break away and whoever relaxed on it would fall along. It was a success but unknowingly to her that the man cut the rail way too much but they needed to leave before anyone noticed something suspicious.
The weather was changing very fast like it was going to rain and so everyone started departing except Liam's best friends who departed into his house.
" But the weather forecast said it's going to be very sunny today", Ryan said as he walked into the sitting room,
" I know right, and the weather is changing fast, it's getting so dark", Williams added,
"This is nature anyways, humans can't always predict it right", Bree pointed out meanwhile it was all because of Rafal descending deeper into the abyss causing the atmosphere to change due to the force and power he was using, the air grew thick and heavy as they neared the earth, Rafal could sense the power blocking out at each other as the method they were using to sneak into the world was such a dangerous one that they conflicted with their lives on the way but he was determined and so he pressed on. As he did so, a wave of darkness and despair spread out from him, infecting the earth and the people who lived upon it.
The weather became so dark at this time and was forced to rain heavily. Amelia stayed behind smiling as she let the rain beat her, she faced the cloud feeling the the rain on her face, she even opened her mouth to see if the rain was going to fall right into her mouth and when it did she giggled and repeat it. Liam was hurrying back inside when he saw Amelia and her childish act and he just stood shaking his head and laughing at her. Amelia who didn't notice his presence felt a sudden tightness within her that caused her to stop whatever she was doing and replace it with a deep frown. The frown deepened when the tightness increased and she also felt the urge to puke, she suddenly felt her energy and her power radiating out of her, and before she knew it, her wings sprang out of her back, white and bright.
She was shocked and scared, she looked around to see if anyone was watching and ran to the backyard when she saw no one in sight.
" Oh no! Not now please", she cried panicking. She was so confused and she didn't want to be caught, not after seeing how non-humans are treated. She was just panicking and begging the wings to go back inside when she heard the voice she least wanted to hear at the moment.
" Panicking won't solve the problem", he said.
Amelia turned back to see Liam, he saw everything that happened and hid when she was looking around to see if anyone was watching but he decided to follow her to help her out.
She took some steps back,
" Liam?",
" Is it the rain, that makes it get out, out of control",
" I. I .. don't know. What are you doing here?",
" To help you out", he said and moved closer to her but she moved back looking terrified.
" Don't come closer, are you not scared?",
" of what?",

" Why should I be",
" because of this, are you not surprised",
" for some reason, I'm not, I mean I've always had a hint",
" What did you mean?",
" You've always told me who you are, you told me you are an angel right from time but you were too crazy for me to believe then, and when you saved me on the rooftop then I checked through the CCTV, I tried researching about who you are but there's no source, no missing report of you, no single information like you never existed so I already prepared my mind, that you are no human".
Amelia was speechless, she looked lost and didn't know what to do or say. Liam looked closely at her, her white mirror was more visible, her wings were very big, and....the next sound he heard interrupted him and they both looked up to see a side of the rail falling right on Liam.
" Liam!", Amelia shouted and flew fast just in time to save Liam, It was really close. She descended with him hugging her as she stood on her feet before letting him go. They stood close to each other, lost in each other's gaze.
" Your wings are beautiful", Liam said with a smile causing her to blush,
" So you are not scared of me?".
His arm went around her waist and pulled her even closer,
" No, you're my angel", he said and locked lips with her, kissing her long and deep as the rain beat them both. Amelia broke the kiss looking so shy,
" What if someone sees us",
" Can you take us to your room then?", he said, Amelia's chest was beating so fast as she nodded. She held him and flew up towards her window luckily it was open so she dropped him off at the window edge and when he entered, she wrapped her wings around her as she followed in. Now they were alone in the room with dim light, the only sound was the sound of their heart beating so fast.
