Chapter 63: Because you are mine

Sophia's face was filled with smile and joy as she watched her plans go accordingly, grinning when she sighted Williams's car driving in through the gate, she waited patiently for him to alighted and her joy even escalated when she saw Williams along not just Ryan but also with Amelia and one other red-haired girl. She doesn't know who the other girl is but she's more happy to see Amelia there cause she'd want her to witness what was going to happen in the next few hours. She looked at the red-haired girl one more time cause she kinda looks like her mum and she felt an unusual chill but she didn't dwell on it and just concentrated on getting her plan done. Williams and others approached her and they exchanged pleasantries except with Amelia who was avoiding her gaze all through.

" what's with the sudden party?", Ryan asked, " And Where's Liam?",

" ho Liam is on the way and I can't give much information as it's a surprise for everyone", she said with her face full of smiles.

" I don't think I can wait that long cause I'm dying with curiosity", Williams said impatiently but Sophia chuckled,

" Calm down Williams, it's just a few more minutes", she said and walked away with a grin and only left them all with their confused expressions and of course, except Amelia who had a hint about what was going on.

Sophia walked to one of the media personnel, since Liam is a famous and very wealthy person, any news about him would catch the media's attention. He's not just famous in his field or being one of the youngest billionaires but also he is the second most handsome man in London with the figure of a model so he has the media attention, not just as much as a celebrity.

" Hi, Miss Sophia",

" Hi, I hope everything is set",

" Sure it is, are you still persistent about not telling us what this is about?",

" Like I told you minutes ago, it's a surprise, just make sure you capture everything and anything that happens here today, okay?",

" okay", the woman said and Sophia returned that with a smile before walking away.

She had gathered everyone at the occasion to announce getting engaged to Liam and making it known that they were getting married soon knowing fully well that he cherished her so much and wouldn't want to embarrass her in the crowd so he would have no choice. The perfect way to get what you want is to use a method your partner would not be able to say no to because of being judged, not even when the media is involved.

Sophia was happier and more surprised when she saw more vehicles coming in and more people attending the occasion, she didn't realize she had invited that many people but some faces looked unfamiliar but she assumed some might have invited one person or more so she let it because it's all to her advantage. She was so busy making sure everything was going according to plan that she didn't realize Liam had arrived, no one did.

Amelia needed a new air, a fresh air where she could breathe cause she felt suffocated, even when she knew about it she still wished deep down it could be wrong so she accepted to come to the place but her heart still felt hard and tightened so she sneaked out and ran towards to backyard, or perhaps anywhere except here.

She was controlling her breath and trying to breathe when she finally stopped running, convincing herself that she literally couldn't be with him because of who she was and she needed to get him off her mind but she couldn't, she couldn't stand him kissing another woman, she couldn't stand him wearing heels for another woman, she just stood there with her heavy heart as she remembered the moments she had with him. His cares even though he was cold, the way he carried her, the way he treated her, when they went to his family for dinner when she wore his shirt and he dried her hair, his rare smiles that she wished she saw often. She didn't know why exactly she liked him even when he was aloof yet she liked that, his cold face only made her want to hug him.

" Coming to my house when you are still avoiding?", his deep cold voice jolted her out of her thoughts and her heart skipped hard. She turned back to see his lean and pale face that still looked handsome.

" Liam", she called and he moved closer to her,

" thought you were still avoiding me",

" I wasn't", she said looking away. His gaze was too piercing and dangerous for her.

" then why have you been away from home?",

" This was never my home",

" then why are you here?",

" I was invited to your party",

" You sure that's why you are here?",

' No, I'm here because I wanted to see you at least ', she said in her mind but said something else out,

" Why else did you think I'd be here?", she said but he held her chin up and made their eyes meet,

" look at me when I'm talking to you, Lia", he said as their eyes locked, lost in what drawn them in,

' It was hard, not having you around me was hard, did you know how many times I've parked around Ryan's restaurant just to get a glimpse of you? ', Liam said in his mind as he looked at her.

Amelia smirked as she stared back at him,

" Are you smirking?", he asked with his hand still on her chin,

" yeah. Because I just realized it",

" What?",

" that you like me".

He dropped her chin and took a step scoffing in between laughter,

" what gives you the assurance?",

" Why did you kiss me then",

" ugh... you're still naive Lia, that kiss was just a demonstration",

" then why are you here with me? Ain't you supposed to be with Sophia",

" I saw you running off here, I just wanted to know what you were up to",

" Why do you care",

"ugh you ask too many questions", he said and walked out, " you mean nothing to me", he said without taking another look at her.

She was so angry, so angry that she walked briskly to catch up with him but he was nowhere in sight, she started looking through the crowd to get a glimpse of him so he could give her a piece of her mind but a man stopped her.

" hi pretty lady", he said as he held her shoulder but she moved away. He looked like he was in his late forties and seemed to have drunk some alcohol already.

" C'mon damsel, wanna have the night with me?",

" Sorry sir but I have to go", she said and made to walk out but he held her wrist,

" Not so fast baby, you're so beautiful, and I just want to talk with you", he said as he pulled her closer but she yanked her hand off and glared at him,

" I'll appreciate it if you respect yourself, human", she said but he placed his arm around her waist, and that made her get more angry and she made to punch him but someone beat her to it.

He grabbed his hand off her and bent his fingers to the back causing the man to cry in pain.

" Don't you dare lay your hand on her", he said as he nearly broke off the finger making the man cry and plead with him cause he was so strong.

Amelia scoffed and rolled her eyes,

" And why do you care?", she said in anger as she faced Liam. He grabbed her by the waist and pulled her closer still not letting go of the man. He looked at her and said,

" Because you are mine".
