Chapter 62: In Liam's house

Liam was shocked and confused as he watched them through the phone, moving around and arranging things he couldn't comprehend, he was still trying to wrap his head around what was going on when he sighted Sophia. He received an intruding alarm from the security in his house and was watching whatever was going on. He picked up his other phone, dialed Sophia's number, and watched her pick up the call.

" Hi, Liam!!",

" what the heck is going on?",

" What did you mean?",

" don't play dumb with me, what's going on in my house?",

" ho! That?", she giggled, " I'm hosting a party",

" what party is it that you can't seek my permission, who throws a party at a person's house without consent?",

" It's not just my party baby, it's our party",

" You'll have to explain that",

" I said that you are mine, didn't I?",

" I belong to no one Sophia",

" ho you will in the next few hours, and it's to me",

" that's not possible, it's not gonna happen",

" C'mon Liam...I love you so much can't you see that".

Liam groaned when he heard that,

" You're an amazing lady, and I know I'm a great guy but it can't work between us",

" it can, and that's why I invited all our friends, the media, and our colleagues to inform them about our engagement that we'll be doing".

Liam burst into laughter, " This is a joke, right? you're just pulling my legs ain't you?",

" if you know what I'm doing in your compound now, you won't doubt whatever I'm saying".

Liam looked back at the screen and knew so well that she meant whatever she was talking about and he immediately hung up the phone. He picked on his nails as he thought deeply.

' She might be a woman, someone I cherish and respect but there's a limit, you don't dare to dictate for me Sophia, I am the man '.

He said in his mind and stood up heading back to his office as he immediately thought of different strategies, sending some messages out to certain people, he got to his office and immediately called on his secretary instructing her to do some things that left her dumbfounded, shocked and couldn't believe what's happening but it seems real when he called on his workers working right under him, his teammates and other people necessary. The information he passed across to them left them confused and anxious.

Lora wriggled between the strong arm of the demon that held her tight, she was scared and at the same time angry, she was to drop the king's report but now she was on the journey to the human world, even though she had always been curious about them and wanted to know them more this is not the way she had wanted it.

The female demon in purple held her tight but at the same time focused her gaze on the man who owned her heart, body, and soul. Rafal.

Rafal stood at the edge of the abyss with Isabella and Lora, gazing into the swirling mists which had a path that led to the earth.

He closed his eyes and began to focus on his power to create a bigger path causing a wind that blows his golden hair backward, same to his company. Slowly, he began to sense a shimmering in the darkness, a glimmer of light that seemed to beckon him forward and he took a deep breath before stepping into the abyss, trusting in his power to keep them safe and Isabella pushed Lora together with her as she followed Rafal's lead.

As the demons and the angel descended deeper into the abyss, they could feel the atmosphere around them changing. The air grew thick and heavy, and a foreboding sense of dread began to fill their hearts. As they neared the earth, Rafal could sense the power blocking out at each other as the method they were using to sneak into the world was such a dangerous one that they conflicted with their lives on the way but he was determined and so he pressed on. As he did so, a wave of darkness and despair spread out from him, infecting the earth and the people who lived upon it.

(The human world, 3 hours before Rafal arrived)

Williams and Ryan drove to Liam's house along with Amelia and Bree.

" why are we going to Liam's house? is there a party going on there?", Bree asked,

" I'm asking myself that question also", Williams said as he chuckled,

" I think there's one, but it's an unusual one cause Sophia would never call us to a party urgently, at Liam's place for that matter, so unusual", Ryan said as he looked baffled also. Though Amelia did not know what was going on also but she remembered clearly hearing Liam's secretary saying something about Liam and Sophia getting married, though she was pained and hurt and even cried but she never said a word about it to anyone and only tried to live by it, struggling to be happy as she distracted herself.

' Could it be that they are getting married? ', the damn question suddenly raised in her mind and she felt her chest tighten, nervous, and suffocated. She wished to stop the car from moving further, she didn't want to go through the gate to see him wedding someone else and so she said,

" can you please, drop me off?".

They were all surprised when she finally said something but said something confusing.

" Why?", Bree asked,

" Miss is such a runaway lady, guess she doesn't want to go back home", Williams said as he steered the wheel.

" Liam was always been a jerk so I'm not surprised if she doesn't want to go back to him", Ryan said mindlessly, " We can just get down now Amelia if you want to",

" don't force her",

" I'm not that's what she wanted, she doesn't want to see him",

" she might have other reasons",

"Maybe we should ask one more time, Amelia, did you want Williams to stop the car?".

They all turned to her for a response except the driver who only listened carefully. She took her breath and gave a satisfactory response to an ear.
