CHAPTER 20: - POLICE CUSTODY
Aarav let the police do their work by arresting him, he surrenders to the police. Darsh opened his mouth to say something but closed it when he saw his brother Aarav shook his head telling him to stay silent. The police officer hand cuffed Aarav’s hand and took him out from his cabin. Darsh and Maya followed behind them, all the employees and staff stopped their work and gather outside their boss cabin gossiping and as soon as they all saw Aarav being taken out, they all went silent, they were all curious to know of their boss’s arrest but they were sure of one thing and that was their boss was innocent and not guilty. Aarav sat inside the police car and glanced at his love “Don’t worry” he murmured her with an assuring smile.
Maya clenched her fist in anger, she was standing outside the company along with Darsh, she didn’t blink her eyes kept and staring at the road from where police car went.
“I know who did this. I will bring my Aarav back.” Maya spoke in an angry voice.
Darsh with a confused look faced Maya, “What’s going on Maya? Who did this?”
Maya without answering to Darsh questions walked towards her car, and started driving. Yash was attending a conference meeting with the members of his own branch from different countries while some of them were present inside the meeting room. Maya bragged inside the meeting room all eyes landed on her. Yash turned around to see Maya in angry mood. Yash had to end the meeting. Maya step aside from the door to let all the members walked out from the room, when the room became vacant. She stepped forward and slapped hard on Yash’s left cheek. Yash was just looking at Maya with astonishment while she kept staring at him without taking away her eyes from him.
“I am sure you are the one who murdered that woman. And once again you are trying to put false allegation on Aarav’s shoulders.” Maya pointed her index finger at Yash and shouted loudly at him.
Yash understood, she knows everything what he had done to separate them and now she slapped him only because of Aarav. Yash grabbed her left hand tightly and jerked her towards himself “You are mine now, you should be thinking of your wedding instead of thinking about that Aarav, he will never get out from there.” Yash spoke while gritting his teeth in a dangerous voice.
Maya laughs sarcastically at his words and free her arm from his hold, “You think that I will still marry you after knowing your evil acts. I feel pity for you, you are the only person who is thinking about this forced marriage. But let me tell you one thing straight. I will never be yours. And I will remove my Aarav from there. He is the only person with whom I will marry. I know what you have done to separate us. You destroyed my life, my happiness but now I won’t fall for your trap again. I will not let you win this time.” Maya spoke with a confident look and walks out.
Yash never saw Maya with such confidence. He doubted that she had something which he wasn’t aware of and was curious to know. So, Yash ordered his PA Suraj to keep an eye on Maya’s every move and to update him.
From Yash office Maya went to meet Aarav in police station. Maya got the permission to meet with him only for 15 min. Suraj informed Yash about Maya’s whereabouts being in police station. With steady walk Maya went inside. Aarav was sitting on a bench placed inside, he heard the sound of footsteps and saw Maya standing putting her hands on a jail rod with tear filled eyes. Aarav approached her puts his hand above her hands on a jail rod and with other hand he wiped her tears.
“Don’t cry, you have to be strong. Promise me that from now onwards you will not shed any tears.” Aarav smiled at her Maya nodded.
“I will do anything to get you out of here.” Maya spoke.
Aarav tucks her hair behind her ear and puts his hand on her right cheek he replied, “I have faith in you, once I leave this place Yash will pay for all his sins he committed and the pain he caused us.”
“Before coming here, I met with Yash. He had accepted that he is the one.”
Something clicked in Aarav’s mind and he spoke, “He might have ordered someone to follow you, and I am sure he already knows that you came here.”
Maya thought if that’s possible. Aarav was right, Yash can do anything.
Aarav further continued speaking, “Listen Maya, don’t let anyone know about the pen drive, you should not go to my office right now he will come to know about it. Tomorrow when I will be present in front of the judge at that time you will bring it.”
Maya nodded. The police officer came and informed Maya that the given time is over. Maya kissed Aarav’s hand and started walking from there in the middle of her way she turned around and see Aarav last time. He nodded at her and then she walked out from the police station.
