CHAPTER 21: - TRICKED
The next morning,
Aarav was taken out from the prison with a hand cuff. Two policemen walking on either side with him while other two policemen followed him behind. Aarav sat inside a police car and they took him towards the court. Jairaj and Bhavika were tensed. Bhavika was in tears. Ragni was helping her to calm her down. David and Kaviya were also present in the court.
On the other side Darsh walked out from the company he glanced at his surroundings and noticed that some goons. He thought they were watching his every move. They were in two cars and little far away from Darsh car. Darsh reached his car when he was about to open the car door his phone rang, “Maya, I got the evidence which you have told I will be there in court in 20 min.” Darsh told in a loud voice audible for the goons to listen. Darsh ended the call sat in the driver’s seat and started driving the car.
The two cars started following Darsh’s car, one of them call their boss Yash to inform him about Darsh having the evidence and is on his way to court, they also sent their boss location. Karan is also present along with Yash. On receiving their location sent by Yash’s men, both men hurriedly settled himself in their respective cars and started driving at a full speed taking different routes. They had planned to surround Darsh from all sides leaving no escape route for Darsh.
Maya reached the Evolution Contracts and directly headed towards Aarav’s office cabin, she locked the door behind her and strode towards Aarav’s personal locker. She dialled the password which Aarav had already told her yesterday when they both were checking the call recording and images. She did put the pen drive into her jeans pocket and without wasting any more second, she walked out to reach the court. It was a plan by Darsh and Maya. Darsh acted behaved like he had the evidence. To distract Yash’s goons so that Maya could reach the court with evidence without any hurdle on her way. The previous night Darsh went to meet with his brother, at that time Aarav told Darsh about his plan and to keep it a secret from everyone except Maya. Darsh after meeting with his brother started working on his plan and told the whole plan to Maya.
At court, the procedure started and Aarav was called to stand in the witness box in front of the judge. Jairaj and Bhavika were nervous. Darsh was only few minutes away from the court when Yash, Karan, and their goons surrounded Darsh’s car blocking all his escape routes. Except Darsh all men came out from their cars and aimed the gun at Darsh. Yash and Karan both stepped forward where Yash opens the passenger side car door and sat beside Darsh and Karan sat behind them. Darsh was calm, Yash removed his gun and pointed it at Darsh’s waist and asked him to handover the evidence to him otherwise he will be killed.
Maya reached the court when judge was about to announce his decision regarding Aarav’s punishment she interrupted and said that she has evidence which can prove that Aarav is not guilty he is innocent. She handed the pen drive to Aarav’s lawyer which he played it.
Darsh handed a fake empty pen drive to Yash both men came out from Darsh’s car. Darsh drove away from them. Yash attached the pen drive in his laptop and was bewildered to know that the pen drive empty, he was boiling in anger as he threw away his laptop. His phone rang he immediately received the call.
“Boss, Aarav is proved innocent he is free now.” His PA Suraj said from the other line.
“How” Yash growled.
“Maya arrived on time with the evidence and interrupted the judge when he was about to announce Aarav’s punishment.”
Yash angrily did cut the call.
Aarav and Maya walked out together holding each other hands. Their family members were present. Both of their parents were smiling ear to ear and were happy for their child. Jairaj and Bhavika hugged their son, Kaviya also said her best wishes to Aarav but the sadness was visible on her face as now her brother has become the prime suspect in police eyes. Kaviya thought that if her brother had committed a crime then he should surely get punished for his deeds, Maya side hugged Kaviya to console her. Darsh arrived and was smiling to see his happy family he immediately hugged his brother. Jairaj and Bhavika invited the Seghal family in their mansion for dinner.
At afternoon, Yash had been called to police station for interrogation by the police. The police officer was not satisfied by Yash’s statements so they kept him in their custody. His father Viraj assured him that he will remove him out sooner from there. Yash felt like the police station and jail had become his second home and all because of Aarav, he ended up there. David and Ragni arrived at Malhotra mansion; the maid informed them about master being in his study room upstairs. Both headed upstairs. David opened the door of Viraj’s study room and moved inside with Ragni. Viraj was talking on a call with his son Yash assuring him that Yash has his back. David and Ragni came straight to point for which they had come, Ragni puts Maya’s engagement ring on the table “You are my brother I respect and love you, but I am sorry, nothing is more important for me than my daughter’s happiness. She doesn’t want to marry with Yash and we as a parent can’t see our daughter getting suffer and nor we can force her. So, we are here to break the engagement between them.”
Viraj gave David a stern look and David in return was giving him a mocking smile and both walked out from there. Maya was sitting inside the car waiting for her parents, once Ragni and David settled inside a car they drove towards the Kapoor’s mansion and Maya was feeling relieved and smiling happily as the heavy burden from her shoulders flew away.
