Memories
"Carly? Peter knew a person called Carly?" Alec asked staring at her other team mates.
"Do not look at me girl, I'm as confused as you are." Kate said with confusion written all over her face but as all the team were surprised, there was particularly one person amongst them that didn't seem too shocked, confused or surprised.
"James?" Kate called out for the fifth time yanking his arm and that saved him from drowning in the ocean of thoughts.
"Yeas, I'm here." He answered shutting his eyes as he used the back of his palm to wipe his eyes like he was filled with fatigue and under stress.
"Are you sure you're here because you totally look lost?" Sam asked and James sighed before nodding.
"I'm here." He simply said and Rico shrugged.
"So you knew Peter was in love with a girl huh?" Kate said hitting his arms and he just kept a straight face.
"You all should stop acting like you do not know who the hell Carly is." James grunted hitting his hand on the table as old memories suddenly hit him again.
Memories that he had tried everything to lock up ever since he resurrected/ awakened from the dead.
And he had tried and it eventually worked.
Also the happenings in the big city had kept his mind occupied but just the mention of their names had brought back those eerie memories and suddenly made him detest his team mates for a split second.
He was always the one that needed saving despite been a blue fox.
They had always saved him in time past and it made me feel stupid needing help in capturing the elder yet again.
"Well, we don't remember so if you do, you can jog our memory." Alec said feeling slightly irritated.
"Carly, the time lady. KIA and Mary betrayed them at the first battle." James simply stated and Alec simply placed her hands on her mouth.
"Oh." Kate said and they all just felt really surprised that they could forget the beautiful time lady like that.
"So why would the demons want to kill Peter?" Sam asked and Rico stared at him like he had just asked a completely asked a very stupid question.
"I don't even know how to answer that question." Rico said as he heaved a deep sigh.
"Why not?" Sam asked as he stared at Rico while others stared at Sam like he was a new member.
"Wy are y'all staring at me? What did I miss?" Sam questions and James just sighed, grabbing the closest chair and sat on it sighing resignedly.
"Why are the demons attacking the kingdoms? Becauee they want the darkness to spread all around. The demons do things once it would affect eveyone good and has light in it." Sam nodded and they all stared at him like he was probably going insane.
"I just wanted—" Sam was saying but Ruco abruptly cut him off.
"No more questions, Sam please...I'm trying to explain something really important and you questions are getting in the way." Rico admonished and Sam mouthed 'yeah'
"So we have to do something, unless of course you want peter to die." James just stared sharply at Rico before diverting his gaze.
"What do we have to do?" He asked and Rico smiled.
"Now that's positive energy. You're already getting the hang of the task's that you have at hand." Rico complimented and everyone stared as James walked over to Rico.
They knew him as someone that never made the first approach to anything.
He always backed down in anything that came his way once he had the chance.
So it was weird that James was the one being eager for this task.
"I think we should all wait and strategize for this particular task. We barely survive this one that just past right now so everyone should just wait and catch their breath, besides some of us are still trying to recover the energy that we expended." Kate was saying but James just looked into the laptop that was in front of Rico and his eyes turned blue yet again.
They were not used to any of the electrical equipments that were right in front of them but James just leaned in like he knew what he was doing.
"James, you don't even—" Kate tried saying but Rico quickly interrupted.
"Whatever you're saying...don't touch him. He's in his beast era." Rico warned and Kate's hands which was just some inches away from paused mid air.
"But he doesn't know what that is neither does he know how to operate it. None of us knows how, he might totally ruin whatever it is that you have setup." Kate asked in worry as she stared at James who just peered into thel Laptop.
"I don't really think so. He looks like he knows what he is doing, that's what a blue fox can do for his best friend." Rico stated and Kate just stood down.
"He's nearby, we have to go and help him." James said as he turned to look at them but to his surprise, they all looked away.
"What's wrong? Why would no one look at me?" James asked, almost looking disappointed because he felt like they were telling him outright that none of his decisions ever made sense.
"And why is none of you answering? Do you think me that low?" James yelled yet they wouldn't look at him making his offended all the more.
"James, its not that we do not want to look at you. The issue is that your eyes are dazzling and the light emanating from it is blinding. How are we supposed to look at that?" Kate queried with her eyes to the floor and Jame's immediately walked over to the transparent glass to stare at his reflection.
"Why? Why is this happening to me?" James asked staring at Rico who just stood there with both hands in his pocket like none of the scene that was unfolding was any of his business.
"We should be asking you why it didnt happen sooner?" Rico simply said yawning lazily and heads snapped as they all turned sharply to glare at Rico, though it was more like pairs of eyes digging into his skin.
"What?" They all asked simultaneously and James just stared with keen interest.
"He's a blue fox and its been a while his beast shoes up. He's been dormant like his beat was dead. Actually, all of you locked your beast in that was why you couldn't fight a little shadow that slipped out of hell." Rico scoffed and the just rolled their eyes.
"I think I'll have to repeat this much more than I wanted to but what choice do I have? Don't forget the beginning! Don't forget when you first started off." Rico said and they just exchanged glances.
"Don't forget when you were still teenagers trying to save your kingdom in different ways and came together to agree on one thing. Don't forget you were all trying to get the stone of Avalor- Damn!! You all are making training you much more hard that its supposed to be." Rico complained wiping beads of imaginary sweat off his face.
