Lila anxiously told him to shut up, "Boss, stop talking, she's coming."
Alexander looked at Lila's anxious face.
He let out a cold laugh, his expression showing a kind of helpless "I don't know what to do with you" look.
Ms. Hill walked over.
Standing in front of them, she had a slight smile on her lips, "Mr. Sinclair, good morning."
Alexander responded with an elegant nod, acting every bit the refined gentleman.
He gave a casual response and then turned to Lila, his slightly raised tone carrying an inexplicable hint of reproach, "What are you standing there for? Come to my office with me."
"OK."
Lila responded, her eyes unconsciously glancing toward Ms. Hill.
Ms. Hill nodded at her.
She smiled and suggested, "Ms. Hill, shall we walk together? The elevators are all in the same direction."
"Sure."
Lila took small steps to catch up with Ms. Hill.
For some reason, ever since Lila learned from Alexander that Ms. Hill had gone through so much trouble pursuing love, working her way up from intern to CFO, she'd been quite interested in her.
After all, she had once seriously liked someone too.
That feeling of liking someone but having to keep it buried deep inside. She understood it all too well.

During work hours, she always took the employee elevator.
Why would he pull her into the executive elevator when Ms. Hill was around?
Lila politely declined, "Boss, no need, I'll just take the employee elevator."
Alexander's patience wasn't great. His voice was sharp as he commanded, "I still need to supervise you handling things. I'm busy and don't have time to wait for you after I get upstairs. Now, get in here!"
Lila was speechless.
She reluctantly agreed and walked over.
Before the elevator doors closed, Lila waved at Ms. Hill, "Ms. Hill, see you later."
Ms. Hill showed a standard smile.
The moment the elevator doors closed, Lila felt her arm being grabbed and was pulled back several steps.
She looked up to meet Alexander's gaze, "Boss, what's wrong?"
He moved closer, pinning her in the corner of the elevator, looking down at her, "Don't you understand what kind of relationship you and Ms. Hill have? Why are you so friendly with her?"
Lila was a bit confused.
She pointed at herself and said, "Ms. Hill and I are just regular coworkers. What other relationship could we have? I wasn't being friendly with her, I was just saying hello."
Alexander snorted coldly, emphasizing each word as he reminded her, "You two are love rivals."
"What?"
"You're my wife, she's a woman who likes me. Aren't you love rivals?"
Lila had a half-smiling expression, looking at him speechlessly, "Boss, I think you might have some misunderstanding about the definition of love rivals."
Alexander frowned slightly, "What misunderstanding?"
She explained matter-of-factly, "If I liked you and Ms. Hill also liked you, then we'd be love rivals. But I don't like you and Ms. Hill likes you, so we're not love rivals."
Hearing this, Alexander's face looked even worse.
He lifted her chin, his lips curling into a cold arc, "Lila, do you need to keep saying you don't like me all day long? Am I really that unworthy of your affection? Or have you actually already fallen for me, but to get my attention, you deliberately say over and over that you don't like me?"
