Chapter 742
Chapter 742
After all these years, Margaret didn't feel hatred about the incident anymore; she just thought it was unfair.
Back then, the Brown family orchestrated a massive scheme to ensure Raymond and Stella got married.
Margaret's parents not only bore the brunt of the scandal but also lost their own lives. This event left a permanent scar on Margaret's heart.
How could Margaret possibly swallow this anger?
Even though this incident was a knot in Margaret's heart, she knew she couldn't take matters into her own hands to deal with Dorian. She wanted to hand this matter over to the police.
Margaret knew that the Brown family had fallen from grace, and the police wouldn't show them any leniency.
Margaret nodded. "Alright, you handle this."
Raymond had been watching Margaret's expression the whole time. Now that the truth was out, the misunderstanding between them was cleared up.
Would their relationship become closer now?
Raymond turned to look at Ryan, who immediately understood and nodded. "Mr. Seymour, don't worry. I'll call the police right away and report back to you once it's taken care of."
With that, Ryan left Margaret's villa.
Margaret sat on the sofa, her eyes reddening. "I never thought Dorian could be so vicious, framing my parents for all these years. If it weren't for him, Mr. Oscar Seymour and my parents wouldn't have died."
Raymond sighed deeply. "Maggie, at least the truth is finally out. Tomorrow, I'll personally go to your parents' graves and apologize."
Margaret's eyes flashed coldly as she stood up and looked at Raymond. "Raymond, I told you that once the truth is out, I wouldn't let Elodie off the hook."
Raymond was slightly taken aback. "Maggie, I won't try to change your mind. You can do whatever you want, but I hope you'll spare Elodie's life."
Margaret was trembling, unsure of what she wanted to do. She lowered her head, looking somewhat despondent. "Raymond, please leave. I need to be alone right now."
Raymond hesitated, wanting to say something. But considering Margaret's current mood, he decided against it.
Raymond turned and left. Margaret sat alone on the sofa, feeling utterly bewildered.
She then took out her phone and called Daryl.
As soon as Daryl picked up, Margaret started crying. "Master, I need to talk to you about something."
Margaret rarely cried, and hearing her voice made Daryl anxious. He quickly asked, "What happened, Maggie? Is something wrong?"
Margaret sounded heartbroken. "Master, the car accident involving my parents has been thoroughly investigated."
Daryl was taken aback. This incident had happened so many years ago, and despite their expertise in software, neither he nor Patrick could uncover the truth back then. How did it suddenly come to light now?
"What did you say? Is this for real?"
Margaret nodded firmly. "Yes, Master, I'm sure. I never expected it was Dorian from the Brown Group behind it. Because of some recent bad press affecting Dorian's company, their software crashed, and we managed to uncover the truth."
"If it weren't for this news, we might still be in the dark."
Daryl's expression turned cold. He couldn't believe it was Dorian. "Maggie, are you certain? Why would Dorian want to harm your parents?"
"Master, it's a long story. Basically, Dorian wanted Stella and Raymond to be together, so he set up this whole scheme."
"Mr. Oscar Seymour opposed Stella and Raymond's relationship, so Dorian's actions served a dual purpose."
Daryl suddenly understood. "So that's it. I never expected the seemingly honest Dorian to be so devious. Now that the truth is out, your parents' names can be cleared. Margaret, this should help you find some peace."
Margaret sighed deeply. "Master, I'm feeling lost. I miss my parents so much, but the past is set in stone; they can't come back."
"This whole thing has left me heartbroken. I want to leave Crystaland and go back to Rainbowland."
Daryl hesitated. "I thought you wanted revenge. But if you want to return to Rainbowland, then go. No matter what happens outside, Rainbowland will always be your home, and we'll always be here for you."
Margaret smiled weakly. "I know, Master. I know you all will always stand by me. But now that the misunderstanding is cleared, my relationship with Raymond is getting more awkward."
"If I stay in Crystaland, it'll only make things more uncomfortable between us."
Margaret realized that despite the truth being revealed, her relationship with Raymond couldn't go back to what it once was. Some things, once they happen, can never be undone.
So Margaret decided to leave. She wanted to get out of this city, hoping that by not seeing Raymond anymore, the awkwardness would disappear. But leaving would certainly make Liberty sad.
Daryl never wanted Margaret and Raymond to be together, even after the misunderstanding was cleared. Raymond's actions back then were undeniable.
So when Margaret expressed her desire to leave Crystaland and return to Rainbowland, Daryl fully supported her.
"If you've decided to return to Rainbowland, I'll inform Patrick and Wesley to properly hand over Crystaland's work to others."
Margaret hesitated, as she hadn't discussed this with Liberty yet. But regardless, things had reached a point where she had to take Liberty with her.
