Chapter 737
Chapter 737
"Mom, I can't stand being in this house anymore. Dad has other kids out there, and I've been such a disappointment, dragging him and the company down. I honestly don't see any hope left for myself."
"All I want now is to make sure those who went against me get what they deserve before I die."
Diana felt a deep sorrow, but this time she didn't stop Stella. Instead, she asked directly, "Stella, what do you plan to do?"
Stella frowned tightly, then spoke in a cold voice.
"Mom, I want to sneak out and find Liberty, then kill her. Since Raymond and Margaret have made my life miserable, they shouldn't have it easy either."
"Although I can't match their power, Liberty's death will haunt them for the rest of their lives. That will be my victory."
Diana was anxious at first, but then she realized they had nothing left to lose. With Dorian keeping mistresses outside, she too had lost hope.
"Alright, Stella, we'll sneak out together."
Diana then took out several bedsheets from the closet and cut them into strips to use as ropes.
They wandered around the villa's yard, pretending to be aimless. The guards outside the fence paid no attention, thinking they were just taking a walk.
Taking advantage of this, Diana and Stella threw the strips of cloth over the fence and climbed up. Stella went first, with Diana following close behind.
Fearing they would be discovered quickly, they removed the cloth strips after climbing over and quietly left the Brown family villa.
Meanwhile, Margaret had put Liberty to bed early and worked in her study for a while. Around 10 PM, she returned to her room.
After she fell asleep, Stella, dressed in black, sneaked into her villa. Knowing Raymond's guards were always nearby, she had prepared a large amount of powdered sedatives.
She lit the sedatives around the villa, unsure if it would work, but hoping for the best. Surprisingly, the guards didn't notice, and soon the sedative smoke spread around, causing Raymond's guards to collapse one by one.
Stella's eyes lit up with excitement. "Mom, look! The sedatives worked, the guards are all down."
Diana was equally stunned. "Yes, it seems we have a chance to break into Margaret's villa tonight."
With the guards down, Stella carried more sedatives as she approached Margaret's villa, using them generously.
Everyone inside was already asleep, and the sedatives made them sleep even more deeply. Stella broke into Liberty's room and carried her away.
The next morning, Margaret woke up, shocked that it was already 8 AM. She never slept so deeply or woke up this late. Liberty usually woke her before work, so why hadn't she today?
Feeling increasingly uneasy, Margaret got up, her body weak. She called out, "Brady!" but got no response. Brady was still unconscious downstairs.
Margaret's heart sank. She rushed to Liberty's room, but Liberty was gone. Panicking, she grabbed her phone to call Raymond, but the line was busy.
Liberty woke up to find herself tied up, Stella standing before her. Fury flashed in her eyes. "You wicked woman, what do you want now? Are you planning to ransom me? My parents will never give in."
Unfazed, Stella ignored the warning. She sneered and stepped closer. "Who wants your parents' money? Liberty, I warn you, stop screaming."
"Do you know why I kidnapped you this time?"
Liberty, nervous, instinctively backed away. "You kidnapped me just to vent your anger, right? Stella, you never understood life, always wanting things that weren't yours. Why blame me?"
Stella was infuriated by Liberty's words. "What did you say? It's not about blaming you; it's your bad luck. If you weren't Raymond and Margaret's child, you wouldn't be in this mess. Because of them, you must die."
Liberty was stunned. She hadn't expected Stella to want her dead. "You want to kill me? Do you know who my dad is? If you do this, he won't let you live."
Stella scoffed. "I don't plan on living long anyway. Liberty, now that I have you, I must kill you today, even if it means dying with you."
"I won't let your parents live in peace."
Any other child would have been terrified, but Liberty remained calm. "Stella, even if you kill me, your life won't go back to the way it was. The Brown Group won't recover. What good will this do you? You're just digging your own grave."
