Chapter 37 Trending
Isabella was half-listening to the news while scrolling through her phone.
She was about to check if her favorite fashion blogger had posted any updates when she saw the trending topics.
Several of them were related to the White Group.
Frowning, Isabella clicked on the trending list and immediately gasped in shock.
Startled by her daughter's scream, Olivia clutched her chest and scolded, "Isabella, you almost gave me a heart attack! What's going on?"
Seeing Isabella's distressed expression, Olivia moved closer, her face full of concern.
Even though Isabella wasn't her biological daughter, Olivia had raised her. Isabella was always so well-behaved, understanding, and gentle.
What made Olivia most proud was how successful Isabella had become. At a young age, she had broken into the entertainment industry and become a popular star.
Though Hayden had invested heavily in her career, Isabella's own efforts had also paid off. While she wasn't the top celebrity, she had a substantial fan base.
This was one reason Hayden had chosen Sophia over Isabella for the White Family.
Isabella was a public figure, and sending her would have caused a media frenzy. The Brown Family would become the target of public scrutiny, and their allies, the Martinez Family, wouldn't take it lightly.
Unfortunately, Sophia didn't understand their parental concerns and only knew how to throw tantrums.
Since she ran away from home, there hadn't been any news from her.
Compared to Isabella, Sophia was worlds apart, completely incomparable.
Lost in her thoughts, Olivia was jolted back to reality when Isabella handed her the phone, her voice trembling with shock, "Mom, something's happened! Look at the trending topics!"
Olivia took the phone and was immediately stunned. The top trending topic: #The White Group CEO Benjamin Married.
#The White Group Employees' Bonuses Double.
The most eye-catching headline was at the top.
Although Benjamin had been very mysterious and low-key over the years, the White Group was a household name.
Their products were everywhere in people's lives, so as the owner of the White Group, Benjamin was a person of great interest.
After all, Benjamin was young and incredibly handsome.
Six months ago, a blurry photo of him had circulated online, and everyone was amazed.
Benjamin's features were exquisite and deep, with slightly pursed lips and a commanding presence that made it hard for people to meet his icy gaze.
Even though the photo was somewhat blurry, it couldn't hide his striking features and chiseled profile.
With such looks, he could rival any top celebrity.
Thus, Benjamin attracted countless fans with just one blurry photo.
Olivia instinctively said, "This, this must be fake, right? How could Benjamin…"
Isabella bit her lip and looked at Olivia with concern, "Mom, what does this mean for the White Family? Didn't Dad say they agreed to invest in our company?"
Isabella's eyes darkened as she looked down.
If the White Family didn't value Sophia, would Hayden push her forward instead?
She didn't want to marry Benjamin, that sickly man!
Rumor had it that Benjamin was on his last breath and wouldn't live much longer.
Marrying him would be like being a widow.
The thought made Isabella's heart race, and she quickly put on an indignant façade.
Her brows furrowed, and her carefully made-up face was filled with anger, "How can the White family do this! They agreed to let Sophia join the White family, and now just a few days later, there's news of a marriage. It's clear they don't respect Dad!"
Hayden had just returned home and overheard Isabella's angry words.
His heart warmed, feeling that his previous decision was absolutely correct.
Isabella was his precious daughter. As for Sophia, she had a disagreeable personality and had the audacity to sever ties with him. She was extremely selfish.
Hayden walked into the living room, clearing his throat and warning Isabella in a low voice, "Isabella, it's fine to say these things at home, but don't speak out of turn in public."
They couldn't afford to offend the White family. If the White family wanted to back out, he would have no choice but to accept it.
Isabella playfully stuck out her tongue, looking innocent and carefree, "Don't worry, Dad, I know how to handle it."
Her eyes shifted slightly, and she probed, "Dad, why don't you ask Sophia to move back home? She's just being impulsive; she wouldn't really go against your wishes."
Hayden's anger flared up at her words. "Forget about her. After signing that agreement, Sophia and I have nothing to do with each other. Even if she dies out there, it's her own fault!"
The mere thought of Sophia made him furious.
As a member of the Brown family, wasn't it her duty to contribute to the family?
After living in the countryside for so many years, she didn't understand any rules.
Such a selfish person, who only thought of herself, didn't deserve to be his daughter!
Hayden looked at Isabella with a gentle gaze, "Isabella, don't worry. The Brown family has only one daughter, and that's you. Don't worry about Sophia. I'll call the White family today."
Isabella's heart leaped with joy, "Dad, you're so good to me! Thank you."
Seeing the admiration in Isabella's eyes, Hayden felt a surge of pride.
He puffed out his chest and softly said to Isabella, "What are you thanking me for? You're my daughter, it's my duty to be good to you."
Olivia, who had been silent, felt a pang of sadness in her eyes.
If only Sophia could be as well-behaved and understanding as Isabella. But, unfortunately…
As Olivia was lost in thought, she suddenly felt a soft presence in her arms.
It was Isabella, snuggling into her embrace with affection.
Olivia immediately pushed thoughts of Sophia aside, tenderly stroking Isabella's hair.
She still had Isabella and three sons. As for Sophia, it was as if she had never had that child.
Meanwhile, Sophia had no idea she was being erased from her biological parents' hearts.
She had just finished fixing her hair and stepped out of the bathroom, feeling a bit restless, so she decided to go for a walk.
Along the way, Sophia received countless admiring and envious glances.
However, most people smiled warmly and respectfully greeted her as "Mrs. White."
But as she passed the administration department, Sophia keenly sensed a few cold, angry stares.
Those looks seemed like they wanted to tear her apart. Filled with intense hatred and resentment.
Sophia turned her head and saw Lily sitting at a computer, her eyes red and looking extremely aggrieved.
Beside her were two men, around twenty-seven or twenty-eight years old.
