Chapter 250 Having Such a Daughter is Simply Embarrassing
Tyrell shook his head silently, feeling that Olivia was truly beyond help.
He asked, "Have you listened to all those recordings online? If you really had, you wouldn't be saying these things."
"No!" Olivia shook her head desperately in denial. "Those recordings were all faked by Sophia, they weren't done by Isabella at all. I've watched Isabella grow up since she was little - I know better than anyone how kind she is."
Tyrell found it unbelievable.
How could someone be this foolish?
It was all their fault - they had protected Olivia too well before, so she had never experienced the dark side of human nature.
But still... even so, she shouldn't neglect her own daughter while treating someone else's child like a treasure!
"Ask yourself honestly, do you really think that excuse holds up? I've already had experts verify it - those recordings are all real, with no fabrication whatsoever."
Olivia's mind went blank for a moment. She mumbled, "What do you mean?"
Didn't Isabella say those recordings were all faked by Sophia?
Why was this happening?
"In other words, those words were indeed said by Isabella. Let's put the recordings aside - what about the surveillance video? Isabella clearly wanted Sophia dead."
"You're really something, being played for a fool by a teenage girl."
"Olivia, where's your brain? You're an educated person! What on earth are you thinking?"
...
The barrage of questions kept circling in Olivia's mind, leaving her brain completely blank.
She suddenly felt like she couldn't breathe.
Had she really... made a mistake?
No! It couldn't be! How could Isabella be that kind of person? It couldn't be!
She comforted herself over and over in her mind.
Tyrell watched her quietly, his eyes filled with sorrow.
Olivia was the little sister he had doted on since childhood - how had she become like this?
"Now, do you still want me to save Isabella?" he asked in a heavy voice.
Olivia came back to her senses and nodded, her tone firm. "Tyrell, whether those things are true or not, I must get her out."
"Are you crazy?" Tyrell laughed in anger.
He thought that after saying so much, Olivia would surely come to her senses.
But what was the result? She was still stubborn, not listening to a word he said.
Olivia stopped talking and just looked at Tyrell pitifully.
Her eyes were red, filled with tears. In the past, whenever she looked at Tyrell with this expression, he would soften.
She believed this time would be the same.
But this time, she was wrong.
Tyrell looked at her coldly, his words seeming to be coated with ice. "Give up. I will never save someone who tried to kill my niece. I remember when you came to me for help last time, I told you that was the last time."
Tears instantly streamed down her face. Olivia's legs gave way and she collapsed to the floor. "Tyrell, are you really going to be so heartless?"
At this moment, Tyrell truly realized that the Olivia he had loved most had died over twenty years ago.
The Olivia before him now felt like a stranger.
"The truly heartless person is you, isn't it? Twenty years ago with the Smith family, and twenty years later with Sophia. Helping you last time was only for old times' sake. From now on, you're on your own."
With that, Tyrell got up and left.
Olivia knelt on the cold floor, crying in grievance.
...
Hayden and Seraphine also received the news.
After getting the message, Hayden immediately rushed to the apartment where Seraphine lived.
This was a residence he had specially arranged for Seraphine. It was quite private, though such apartments certainly couldn't compare to villas.
Fortunately, Seraphine was understanding and didn't care about such material things.
As soon as he opened the door, Seraphine threw herself at him crying, pouring out her grievances.
He had no interest in romance right now and could only patiently comfort her with a few words.
He paced back and forth in the apartment living room, but this time Seraphine didn't play her usual role of the understanding companion to cheer him up.
Instead, she sat alone on the sofa sobbing.
Her whimpering kept ringing in his ears like flies, making him extremely irritated.
Finally unable to bear it anymore, Hayden snapped, "Stop crying! Your crying here doesn't solve anything."
Seraphine was startled by his angry shout and quickly wiped away her tears, not daring to cry anymore.
She asked tearfully, "What's going on? Wasn't Isabella just released? How did she end up at the police station again?"
"How should I know? You should ask your precious daughter! All she does is cause me trouble day after day. She's made me lose all face. Do you know how those shareholders are laughing at me behind my back?"
"Hayden, think of something. We can't let anything happen to Isabella! She's my only daughter!" Seraphine grabbed Hayden's sleeve tightly, pleading pitifully.
Isabella was her only support now.
The reason Hayden doted on Isabella so much was because Isabella was excellent enough and had brought him great honor.
When Isabella was favored, she as the biological mother naturally rose with the tide.
If Isabella was taken away again, what if Hayden felt too embarrassed and stopped caring about Isabella?
What would she do then?
Hayden really didn't want to deal with Isabella anymore - after all, she wasn't his only child.
Setting Sophia aside, he still had three sons!
Each of them was outstanding and excellent. He didn't need to go to great lengths for one daughter.
But Seraphine kept crying before him, telling him how difficult and wronged she had been all these years.
Begging him to save Isabella.
Seraphine's heart and eyes were full of dependence on him.
This gave Hayden tremendous satisfaction.
He already felt guilty toward Seraphine, and now he was even more overwhelmed, immediately promising he would do his best to get Isabella out.
He immediately called Olivia.
The phone was quickly answered, and again came the sound of crying.
He asked impatiently, "Did you go see Tyrell? Isabella has suffered so much at the police station - what good does your crying do?"
His tone was full of blame and complaint.
Olivia felt even more wronged and explained through sobs, "I already went, but Tyrell doesn't want to help me."
"You're so useless! You can't even handle this small thing. Besides shopping, what else can you do? If you hadn't left the Smith family back then, our family wouldn't be in such a sorry state now!"
Hayden's anger surged up, and he vented all his temper on Olivia.
Olivia never expected that instead of receiving comfort from Hayden, she would get a scolding.
