Chapter 249 I Am Not Your Brother
Isabella never expected to find herself back at the police station. Beyond the panic, what she felt more was anger.
"What right do you have to arrest me? I'm warning you, my grandfather is from the Smith family of Harmony City! I suggest you let me out right now!"
But no matter how much she yelled, no one paid her any attention.
Finally, Isabella got tired of shouting. She leaned back in her chair, her voice hoarse and sore.
Just then, footsteps suddenly sounded outside the door. Isabella jerked her head up, staring intently at the doorway, hoping someone had come to rescue her.
But her hopes were bound to be dashed. The person who came wasn't anyone she knew—it was someone from the police station.
It was a middle-aged man who gave off an aura of seriousness and coldness. His eyes were firm and icy, making people afraid to look directly at him.
"Isabella, I'm here to get some information from you." He pulled out an iPad and played a surveillance video, asking, "According to our technical examination, this video shows no signs of editing or splicing. Is the person in this footage you?"
Isabella slowly calmed down. "I want to see my lawyer. Until my lawyer arrives, I refuse to answer any questions."
The man nodded and put away his iPad. "Alright, I'll contact your family now."
With that, he got up and left.
Isabella let out a slow breath of relief, but still couldn't help feeling nervous.
After receiving the call, Olivia frantically called Tyrell, but no matter how many times she tried, the call wouldn't go through.
What else did she need to understand? Tyrell had actually blocked her.
No, she had to find Tyrell. Right now, only he could save Isabella.
After asking around for a long time, Olivia finally found out where Tyrell was. She heard he was at StarVibe Entertainment today doing a photo shoot.
Whether this information was true or not, she had to go check it out.
Olivia grabbed her bag and told the driver to take her to StarVibe Entertainment.
When she walked into StarVibe Entertainment, she was suddenly stopped by a security guard in a suit. "Ma'am, who are you looking for? Outsiders aren't allowed in here."
Olivia frowned, looking unhappily at the person blocking her way. "I'm looking for Tyrell. Is he at the company?"
"I'm really sorry, but Mr. Smith is busy right now. If you need to see him urgently, you should call him. Otherwise, we really can't let you in."
There were many people trying to sneak into the company, so StarVibe Entertainment's security was very strict.
Without an appointment, entry was absolutely not allowed.
Olivia was so anxious that sweat broke out on her forehead. If she could get through to Tyrell on the phone, she wouldn't have come here looking for him.
"You probably don't recognize me. I'm Hayden's wife from the Brown Group. I really need to see Tyrell about something."
The security guard remained polite, but his attitude was firm. "I'm sorry, no matter who you are, if you don't have an appointment, you can't go in."
Olivia's expression nearly cracked, but thinking of Isabella waiting for her to rescue her, she immediately suppressed her anger. "How about this—you call Tyrell and tell him Olivia needs to see him. When he hears my name, he'll definitely come out to see me."
The security guard was skeptical, but still took out his phone and called Tyrell.
Soon, someone answered on the other end, and an impatient voice came through. "Hello? Make it quick if you've got something to say."
Tyrell hated being interrupted during work. The moment the phone rang, he almost shook and ruined the photo.
Fortunately, his skills were good enough, and the result was acceptable.
"Mr. Smith, there's a lady here who wants to see you..."
"Not seeing anyone." Before the guard could finish, Tyrell cut him off. "Don't bother me for nothing. If I had to see everyone who wanted to see me, wouldn't I work myself to death?"
"..." The guard was left speechless by the rebuke. He looked up at Olivia in front of him and noticed her expression had turned very dark.
He patiently explained, "She says her name is Olivia."
Tyrell was silent for a long while. Just when the guard thought something was wrong with the connection, Tyrell's cold voice came through again.
"Not seeing her."
The guard raised his eyebrows and looked at Olivia. "You heard him. Mr. Smith doesn't want to see you."
Olivia snatched the phone from the guard's hand and shouted into it, "Bro, why did you block my number? I need to see you about something urgent. Come out and see me right now."
"..."
Another long silence on the other end.
Tyrell waved his hand at the staff, signaling them to pause, and stepped aside.
"Olivia, are you sick? Who's your bro? From the moment you cut ties with the Smith family for that man, I stopped being your brother!"
Tyrell's angry scolding echoed throughout the entire shooting location.
At the shoot, the staff members exchanged glances, surprise showing in their eyes.
They'd worked with Tyrell for so long and knew his temper wasn't great, but they'd never seen him this angry.
Olivia suddenly froze, realizing the phone was on speaker.
Hearing such a loud voice, everyone looked over.
Those gazes fell on Olivia like knives. She was so embarrassed she wanted to crawl into a hole. She hurriedly turned off the speaker.
She laughed awkwardly a couple of times and lowered her voice to say to Tyrell, "Bro, what are you talking about? I came today because I need your help. Please help me."
"Say what you need to say quickly. I don't have that much time."
The elevator suddenly opened, and Tyrell walked out.
Olivia's eyes lit up, and a glimmer of hope rose in her heart.
She'd guessed right—Tyrell really did care about her the most and definitely wouldn't leave her hanging.
"Second brother..."
"Stop! Don't call me that!" Tyrell interrupted her and led her to an empty office.
Actually, this was Sophia's office.
Sophia had been busy in the lab lately, so she let him rest here when he was tired from work.
Tyrell leaned back against the soft sofa, casually propping his legs on the coffee table, his posture lazy yet impossible to ignore.
"Speak. What do you want from me?"
Olivia felt something was off, but she couldn't figure out what, so she stopped thinking about it.
She immediately explained why she'd come. "Tyrell, please help Isabella. Save my daughter!"
Tyrell suddenly sat up straight, pulling his legs off the coffee table, his expression serious as he looked at her.
"Olivia, who exactly is your daughter?"
Olivia was confused, not understanding what he meant.
Tyrell continued, "Your daughter is clearly Sophia, but you'd rather give up your own biological daughter for Isabella's sake. What are you thinking?"
Olivia laughed coldly. "Sophia is not my daughter! She doesn't deserve to be my daughter! Tyrell, you don't know what she's done to Isabella since she came back to the Brown Villa... I'll never forgive her in this lifetime."
