Chapter 222 Based on Mrs. White's Words
Lost in thought, Joshua suddenly walked over to help them adjust their poses.
Before leaving, he glared fiercely at Ronnie, "Watch yourself, don't get handsy with our Sophia, or you'll regret it."
Actually, with Sophia's role, she didn't need to do costume fitting photos.
But the third female lead was such a standout character that many fans couldn't let it go.
So Joshua decided to help them shoot a set of photos too.
Ronnie's face turned even redder, his whole body radiating embarrassment.
Most of the time, he kept his eyes lowered, not daring to look into Sophia's eyes.
Only when the photographer reminded them would Ronnie briefly dare to meet Sophia's gaze.
By the time they finished the costume fitting photos, it was already afternoon.
Everyone had been so busy they hadn't had lunch yet, so Joshua waved his hand grandly and said to everyone, "We didn't get to have a proper meal when we wrapped. Come on, I've made a reservation at Harvest & Hearth. Want to go together?"
"Harvest & Hearth? Is that the Harvest & Hearth I'm thinking of? The one where even money can't guarantee you a table?"
Someone asked with genuine curiosity.
Joshua paused his steps, smiled and nodded, "You guessed right, that's the one."
After a pause, he turned his gaze to Benjamin, his lips curving slightly, "Actually, it's not me treating everyone. It's Mr. White treating everyone. To thank you all for taking care of Sophia during this time."
Benjamin glanced at him coolly, then stood up from his chair.
His posture was straight, his expression indifferent as he lowered his head to smooth out his slightly wrinkled suit.
Such a simple action, yet he made it look pleasing to the eye.
Sophia's sharp eyes noticed something unusual. She immediately walked up to him, holding his hands, asking in surprise, "What happened to your hands? How did you suddenly get hurt?"
Benjamin's hands were wrapped in gauze, with blood seeping through, staining the bandages.
Like red plum blossoms blooming in the snow, particularly striking.
Benjamin felt a bit guilty and tried to pull his hands back, "It's nothing, just a minor injury."
But Sophia didn't believe him.
She looked behind Benjamin, using her eyes to question his subordinate.
The subordinate looked at Sophia, then at Benjamin, and finally, ignoring Benjamin's warning look, told her everything that had just happened.
Benjamin: "..."
Where was his authority?
Receiving Benjamin's look, the subordinate said helplessly, "Mr. White, you said that when Mrs. White isn't around, we listen to you, but when Mrs. White is around, we follow Mrs. White's word."
Benjamin: "..."
Had he dug a hole and buried himself in it?
Sophia looked up, glaring at him with mock reproach, "It's just taking some photos. Why such a big reaction?"
Meeting Sophia's bright eyes, Benjamin felt a surge of grievance, "You've never taken this kind of formal photo with me! I just saw you almost kiss him."
"But we didn't kiss!" Sophia rubbed her forehead helplessly, then suddenly stood on her tiptoes, grabbed Benjamin's tie, and lifted her head to press her lips against Benjamin's.
A fleeting touch, but like medicine that soothed restless emotions.
Looking at Sophia's smiling eyes, Benjamin suddenly felt all his jealousy vanish into thin air.
Chase was right, all that was fake.
Fake could never become real.
So Sophia was his.
And would only ever be his.
He bent down, ignoring the onlookers around them, swept Sophia up in his arms, and strode out with large steps.
As they passed Joshua, his steps paused slightly, "I'll wait for you all at Harvest & Hearth."
With that, he quickly left.
Watching his impatient steps, Joshua shook his head helplessly and said to the actors and crew behind him, "Hurry up and follow."
Sophia was carried by Benjamin to the car, and before she could react, a shadow loomed over her.
"Honey..." Sophia was about to speak when her lips were sealed.
Benjamin's crisp, pleasant scent mixed with masculine pheromones washed over her.
He licked and nibbled gently on her lips, moving tenderly.
One hand gripped her slender, soft waist, the other pressed against the back of her head, not allowing her to retreat.
Benjamin gradually deepened the kiss.
A blush gradually crept up Sophia's cheeks. He pried open her teeth, conquering inside.
She retreated step by step, kissed until her mind went blank, unable to tell direction for a moment.
Until she gradually began to struggle for breath, she frowned and pushed against Benjamin's chest.
Benjamin released her, his eyes staring straight at her, as if there was a huge vortex in his eyes, as if to completely suck her in.
"Why did you suddenly kiss me?" Sophia glared at him with a red face.
Sophia's rippling eyes were filled with a watery gleam, without any lethal power, but rather more like acting cute.
As if a hook scratched at his heart, creating a tingling sensation.
Benjamin gripped her waist and pulled her onto his lap, his chin resting on her shoulder, gently nuzzling.
"Wife."
"What?"
"Wife."
"What?"
Benjamin was silent for a moment, holding Sophia's hand, asking tentatively, "Let's go take photos too."
"Why do you suddenly want to take photos?" Sophia asked puzzled.
Had he been stimulated by something?
Benjamin sighed, looking at Sophia with a hint of resentment in his eyes, "We've both been too busy lately, giving each other too little time. You've taken so many photos with other men, what's wrong with taking a few with your own husband?"
At the end of the day, he was still jealous.
That incident earlier hadn't passed at all for him.
Sophia found it a bit funny. Under the man's expectant gaze, she nodded, "Okay, we really don't take many photos together."
Soon, the car stopped at the entrance of Harvest & Hearth.
The group walked in, a mighty procession.
Someone in the crowd whispered, "It really is Harvest & Hearth. With so many of us, can we all really get in?"
You couldn't blame them for overthinking. The main thing was that Harvest & Hearth was notoriously hard to book.
Many people said that even money couldn't guarantee a reservation at Harvest & Hearth.
Being able to book one room was already impressive. With all of them together, there were definitely more than thirty people.
Would they be kicked out?
However, what they worried about didn't happen.
The servers stood very respectfully at the entrance, welcoming them in.
Even facing some people who looked quite ordinary in their dress, those servers didn't show the slightest hint of disdain.
Many people showed flattered expressions, following inside somewhat uncomfortably.
"Come, cheers to everyone for wrapping! Thanks for all your hard work during this time!" Joshua stood up, raising his glass to everyone.
Everyone stood up and raised their glasses too.
The meal was satisfying and hearty, everyone thoroughly enjoyed it.
The food at Harvest & Hearth was expensive for a reason. Many people couldn't even spare time to talk, just focused on eating.
It was simply too delicious!
The meat was tender and flavorful, the presentation exquisite, and the seafood maintained its freshness to the greatest extent without being fishy.
